Forum:First ever Unicorn Mill Deck, Rate/ Help please

I BELIEVE that this is the first ever post Unicorn Mill deck. I've checked Youtube and I've checked wikia and there aren't really many people willing to make this deck. It's actually working out pretty well for me. I've beaten a Zombie-Plant Deck, Quickdraw Dandy Warrior and Synchro Dragons as the most notable victories. Of course you could say it's not that great til it becomes Meta..but whatever it's just a fun deck. There are 48 cards and the winning condition is obviously to deck your opponent out.

Please Rate and Give me your advice

The idea is to mill my opponent and my own deck so that I could use monsters/traps from my graveyard. This deck is slow to start, but after the first Voltic Bicorn shows up and dies it's a lot easier to get everything else out. Aznskills90214 (talkcontribs) 23:42, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

I'm gonna assume that there aren't really many people that know too much about a Unicorn Mill deck..Aznskills90214 (talkcontribs) 21:08, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • Probably not. It's a deck I'd thought about making, but could never find any help or info on, so I applaud your efforts! Can you talk a little about how the deck runs (the combos or cards you're typically looking for)? Also, I'm wondering about the lack of Assault on GHQ? That's usually pretty typical in a mill deck. --Kungfu-mama(talk) 21:45, January 8, 2011 (UTC)
If only there was a word for a Deck that mills but does not win by milling...Oh, well. Here's some advice:
  1. This Deck isn't built to activate "Necroface". Either add more universal removal effects or do not bother. "Skill Successor" is not effective either, not nearly as much as "Royal Decree". "Shiny Black 'C'" is a weird pick, but I see your angle.
  2. Try using "Voltic Kong" and/or "Robbin' Zombie" if you wish to hit the opponent. I also suggest ways of keeping the opponent from using his/her own Graveyard effects.
  3. I suggest adding some Millworms to go with "Morphing Jar" and "Book of Eclipse". Actually, "Book of Eclipse" is just generally useful for Mill Decks.
  4. You could use "Level Eater" to go with "Egotistical Ape" and the Unicorns. I would recommend it.
  5. Cut "Cold Wave" and "Dandylion" to 1 copy each, you silly.

Perhaps you may want you use as a spell card Gravekeeper's Servant? This way, if you can protect it, your opponent will have to play into your strategy if they want to attack. --KingofCards (talkcontribs) 04:04, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

I'm sure you could use two dandylions

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMe4K4t4e-M ^ that's an explanation of the entire deck Thank you for all the advices so far and hopefully you guys will think of more.Aznskills90214 (talkcontribs) 06:49, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

How this deck works

Thank you all for your suggestions, however I don't want to make this a full mill deck, you know? This Voltic Mill deck in itself is already unique and I don't wanna really put in all the generic mill deck stuff. This deck could also transform into a beatdown deck so it gives me that option.

I WOULD LOVE Royal Oppression, but because (and I know I didn't post it) Treeborn Frog..I kinda can't :( I explained most of the strategies in this link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMe4K4t4e-M) So Please watch it and then you'll get more of an idea of what's going on.

Skill Successor works well in this deck, because it activates from the graveyard, this deck mainly focuses on graveyard activations.

Necroface is sort of a way to bring back my Voltic Bicorns if they have been D-Prisoned, also Necroface is a 5 card push, meaning it removes from play top 5 cards which helps with milling. And it's my choice whether or not to bring them back and I like that option.

I THOUGHT of Level Eater, but I chose treeborn instead, because Level Eater takes out a level that I might need.

Thank you for all your help so far. Aznskills90214 (talkcontribs) 17:09, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Last Try

I think it's a relatively low-key deck with very little amount of information so that's probably why no one has really given me any advice with it. I know there were some above and I thank you guys for those, however I'm not trying to for an average mill deck, so this one should be looked at as something entirely new and different. This is my last try to get advice on this deck, afterwards..I think I'll just fix it according to experience. Aznskills90214 (talkcontribs) 02:48, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
