Galaxy-Eyes effect is Quick Effect and can be chained to Prison.-- (talkcontribs) 07:20, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

When you attack with Galaxy-Eyes, you have priority to activate its effect. If you want to scope out D-Prison, first you ask your opponent if he wishes to activate an effect.

If he does, chain this card's effect to it. D-Prison or Mirafarz or what have you will resolve without effect.

If he doesn't, the opportunity to use D-Prison, etc. is gone. 207.233.120.2 (talk) 17:59, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

ah well can you also post something like a ruling or a source so i can show him proof that galaxy eyes can dodge d prison and mirror force and the likes. an dont source from the tip. cuz my friend say people post fake info from time to time so i like either a couple renown judge to agree on the ruling or a source that states for a fact that galaxy can avoid so my glad beast friend cant pull that bull on me in a tournment since galaxy eyes came out recent in photon shockwave.—This unsigned comment was made by 24.187.69.52 (talkcontribs) 05:13, 2011 November 19

Attack Declaration is part of the Battle Step (Breakdown of the Battle Phase).
Quick Effects can chain to D-Prison/Mirror Force (Spell Speed 2), that is basic gameplay... there is no official ruling, just tell them to read the rulebook.
Or tell them to look at: this; the line about "It’s also a Quick Effect. That means that – unlike Number 39: Utopia – if Galaxy-Eyes attacks and your opponent uses Dimensional Prison or Mirror Force, you can Chain Galaxy-Eyes’ ability and escape unharmed."
(though Konami's blogs aren't written by Konami's judges, which is why we don't count them as official). -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:21, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

ok if its coming from you falzar i trust your ruling since you are rarely ever wrong.—This unsigned comment was made by 24.187.69.52 ( (talkcontribs) 05:45, 2011 November 19

falzar i just show the info you mention and he saw that i can use it cuz his effect like neo spaican grand mole and hes also a judge. he suggested that since my glad beast friend active d prison and my effect cant be activate due to the fact that its attack is negated and d-prison sends it rfg. so now im in a pickle since my friend the judge and many others of my group says i cant chain his effect to mirror force, d prison, and the likes. even one of my friends put out the rulebook saying my friend the judge is right.

im srry falzar for making you do more work explain than necessery but alot of folks here say i can chain while my friends at school says its cant be chained.—This unsigned comment was made by 24.187.69.52 (talkcontribs) 04:25, 2011 November 22

Tell them read this link: http://www.konami.com/yugioh/articles/?p=3246 It comes from Konami, and they say:
"It’s also a Quick Effect. That means that – unlike Number 39: Utopia – if Galaxy-Eyes attacks and your opponent uses Dimensional Prison or Mirror Force, you can Chain Galaxy-Eyes’ ability and escape unharmed."-- (talkcontribs) 04:45, November 22, 2011 (UTC)
P/S: Or http://www.konami.com/yugioh/articles/?p=3419
"One more cool thing to point out is that Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon’s effect is a Quick Effect, so if you declare an attack on a monster and your opponent activates a card like Mirror Force or Dimensional Prison, you can still banish both monsters and dodge the Trap Card’s effect! This also comes into play when you’re taking on Number 39: Utopia. If your opponent detaches a material to try and negate your attack, you can Chain Galaxy-Eyes’ effect to banish both monsters anyway!"-- (talkcontribs) 05:00, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

ok thanks so since konami post this its consider as fact from them that galaxy eyes can escape—This unsigned comment was made by 24.187.69.52 (talkcontribs) 11:54, 2011 November 22
