This is actually an Ancient Gear Deck, but I use so many Machine monsters I figure that it's not a solid Ancient Gear-only deck anymore. Hence why I used the name "Machine". This is the deck I've spent the most time on to be honest, and I know that there's a 40-card limit most people use, but this 50-card deck works really well for itself.

Please let me know how I can improve upon this deck. I feel like I'm particularly lacking in spell cards and trap cards, but I don't have a deep enough knowledge of the game yet to make this area stronger.

I understand you say this deck works well for itself, and I can apprecciate your desire to include as many of the cards you prefer as possible in a build, but I speak from experience when saying reducing the card count to as close to 40 as possible will almost certainly result in an improved version of its former self that will see your strategy/combos emerge more often and result in a more competative build. Are you open to other Machines or gear inclined?

Mystical Space Typhoon is currently not limited, so I would recommend increasing your count to 3. (- 1 d-tornado) This being the case, it could also be a protective measure, depending on the number of your spell/traps that remain face-up on the field, (or set) to declare "Mystical Space Typhoon" when activating "Prohibition" to protect these from destruction. This could be even more effective in the current format in consideration of "Heavy Storm"s recent banning.

Have you considered "Limiter Removal?"

To be honest I don't like the idea of destroying my monsters just for one turn of superpower. That's the main reason I don't like Limiter Removal.

I should have taken off Dust Tornado ages ago, I just didn't have a better Trap to replace it.

Let me put it this way. It's a Machine deck, with a focus on Ancient Gear but not a theme of Ancient Gear. Obviously keeping Ancient Gear monsters that are useful are a top priority (Gadjiltron Dragon, Engineer, Golem, etc). What would really help me is if I could still draw into my combos with 40 cards but, as you can see I have a lot of Fusions and Synchros (where they go to the Graveyard after summon). Thanks for your input so far though, I'm trying to get better.

You do realize that Limiter Removal doesn't end up destroying your monsters if you actually win the game in the same turn, right? Think of it as a charge towards victory. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 01:21, September 19, 2013 (UTC)

I've added one Mystical Space Typhoon and Limiter Removal, and I have taken out Dust Tornado. I've looked at Prohibition but to be honest I wouldn't know how to use it right in a Duel. Maybe when I learn when the right timing is I will add it.

As far as the rest of my deck goes, I'm actually not entirely sure on how to thin it out. I'm trying to do many things at once and it all seems to work alright, but I don't always draw into combos and I've lost many Duels that way.
