Negate

1/ Can PMD negates Raigeki Break target on a monster?

2/ Can PMD negates Divine Wrath when my opponent use it to negate PDM's effect?

3/ Can PMD negates Solemn Judgment?-- (talkcontribs) 13:24, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

1) Yes.
2) No, the effect of PMD is Spell Speed 2, while the effect of Divine Wrath is Spell Speed 3.
3) No, same as 2).-- HHTurtle Talk   13:29, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

4/ Can PMD negates effects "destroy all cards your opponent controls" of Majestic Star Dragon or "destroy all cards on the field" of Demise, King of Armageddon if I only control monster cards?-- (talkcontribs) 07:55, September 23, 2010 (UTC)-

Yes.-- HHTurtle Talk   08:20, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

5/ And if I control another type cards (Spells, Traps...) (not only control Monster Cards), PDM can negate too?-- (talkcontribs) 12:58, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

As long as it includes the destruction of a monster, yes.-- HHTurtle Talk   13:42, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Thank so much-- (talkcontribs) 13:56, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome.-- HHTurtle Talk   13:58, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

6/ OK, this is last question: If I only control Spell and Trap Cards when my opponent active effect "destroy all cards your opponent controls" of Majestic Star Dragon (MSD) and I chain with Call of the Haunted to special summon PMD, can i use effect of PMD to negate MSD?-- (talkcontribs) 08:43, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

No. PMD wasn't on field at time of MSD's effect activation, so it is unable to activate as it wasn't there to do so-Resk (talkcontribs) 09:09, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

7/ If my Trap Monster would be destroyed by MST while it is treated as an Effect Monster Card, can I use PMD to negate MST?-- (talkcontribs) 05:32, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, it can negate it.-- HHTurtle Talk   05:40, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Prime Material Dragon's effect cannot be chained to Mystical Space Typhoon since Mystical Space Typhoon is trying to destroy a Trap Card not a monster card, even if that Trap Card is treated as a monster too. It is the same reason why you can't save "Embodiment of Apophis" with "My Body as a Shield" from "Heavy Storm's" effect. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 09:50, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I gave the wrong answer.-- HHTurtle Talk   09:52, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

8/ That ok, and thanks for answer. That mean Prime Material Falcon can't stops Man-Eater Bug to destroy my Trap Monster, too?-- (talkcontribs) 13:37, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, in this case the effect of Man-Eater Bug is destroying it as a monster so the effect of Prime Material Falcon cannot negate it.-- HHTurtle Talk   15:55, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

8/ Can I use PMD to stop Blackwing - Bora the Sharp's destruction effect?-- (talkcontribs) 15:13, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Judging from the Japanese text, it would seem that the effect of Blackwing - Bora the Sharp cannot be negated by the effect of Prime Material Dragon. The effect doesn't destroy a monster during the resolution of the effect. In fact, monsters are destroy way after the effect has resolved and it doesn't seem to start a Chain when it destroys a monster.

However, do note that Konami hasn't issued any official rulings for this yet.-- HHTurtle Talk   15:24, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

9/ Is the PMD effect the same than Stardust Dragon's effect? Can PMD's effect negate cards like Hero Blast or Snipe Hunter? Diego Yaguana (talkcontribs) 01:59, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Gain LP

1b/ Same as 6, but my opponent active effect "inflict damage" (not destroy my monster). Can't I use CoH to sp. summon PMD and gain LP instead (because this is a Continuous effect)?-- (talkcontribs) 06:59, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

2b/ If I have 2 PMD, I will gain double?-- (talkcontribs) 07:15, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

1b) Since the effect that converts damage into LP is a Continuous Effect, it is applied as soon as it is face-up on hte field. Since you chained CotH to the effect that inflicts damage, Prime Material Dragon will be special summoned first and its effect will convert it the damage to LP.

2b) Since it is a Continuous Effect, the effect of multiple Prime Material Dragon will not stack.-- HHTurtle Talk   08:29, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

3b) First PMD's effect is only apply with cards say "inflict damage" or apply with cards say "take damage" (like Marshmallon), too?-- (talkcontribs) 14:43, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

As long as it is effect damage, you will gain LP.-- HHTurtle Talk   18:54, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

Both

1c/ Can I use PMD to negate Blast Sphere and gain LP?-- (talkcontribs) 06:59, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, you can negate the destruction effect of Blast Sphere. However, since the effect of Blast Sphere didn't destroy any monster, no damage will be inflicted and hence no LP gain.-- HHTurtle Talk   08:32, September 27, 2010 (UTC)
2c/ So, if I don't negate effect of Blast Sphere, I can gain LP (PMD isn't equipped monster), right?-- (talkcontribs) 14:21, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, but the monster that was equipped with Blast Sphere will be destroyed.-- HHTurtle Talk   14:23, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

Another Question...

...regarding Prime Material Dragon's effect. I'm curious as to what, if any effect PMD has on Honest. Do either of PMD's effects apply? Kungfu-mama(talk) 16:14, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

The effect of Honest doesn't inlflict effect damage. PMD will do nothing to it.-- HHTurtle Talk   18:54, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare/Exploder Dragonwing

1/ Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare say "If this face-up Attack Position card battles with an opponent's monster, inflict damage equal to its ATK to your opponent and destroy that monster at the end of the Damage Step.", that mean I will gain LP then I can use PMD to negate Yubel?-- (talkcontribs) 13:34, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

2/ What about Exploder Dragonwing, it's ruling say "The effects of “Exploder Dragonwing” to destroy a monster and inflict damage are considered to be simultaneous", I still gain LP then negate its effect with PMD?-- (talkcontribs) 13:34, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

1) yes, lp and destruction are 2 different effect, first you gain the lp and then you can negate the destruction.

2) you only loose lp if the monster is destroyed, so no destruction = no damage (lp gain with pmd) 87.174.17.2 (talk) 15:36, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
