I do not understand why people keep saying that the Arcana Force monsters have your opponent choose which effect is used. The whole "spinning" thing is just for flavour. The Japanese card reads that a coin is flipped.

Also, in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 073 - Source of Strength Sartorious even says that it only gives the illusion of choice. That's a pretty strong indication that he doesn't choose.

It's just like Roulette Spider. Your opponent only says when to stop spinning. He doesn't get to chose what the spider points at when it stops spinning.

(Besides, if your opponent got to chose, what would be the point of the cards? Your opponent would always chose the negative effects, and the cards would be useless.)--Deus Ex Machina 02:53, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Arcana Force - Effects[edit]

I think Deus Ex Machina is correct on this. After all, the text on the cards in the Japanese anime says that their effects are solved through coins.

  • I agree. Japanese Text > Synthesis Text from examining the English Dub. --TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 17:24, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

And, how are you supposed to do the spining thing in real life anyway, I mean its ok in the anime, but...

  • The 'spinning' thing was only in the Dubbed Anime. In the Japanese Anime (As well as the OCG now) the effects are determined by a coin flip.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 08:56, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
    • As someone who watched the raw Anime, I must say that the cards did visually spin above the players' heads in it as well. The spin wasn't dub-only. Rather, the Card-of-the-Week entries for the Anime cards all specified coin-flipping, meaning that the spin wasn't dub-only but instead a replacement for coin-flipping, but instead meant to relate to Tarot and how cards appear reversed in such. --65.185.177.211 21:48 31 August 2007
  • Not that I'm complaining, but I think this card is broken. Even though it is a fifty-fifty chance

(under normal circumstances) whether you get the Heads effect, this card has God-like strength, and yet it can return ANY card in your graveyard to your hand at no cost of cards or life points. This card could start an infinite recycling chain, if you add other stalling and recycling cards. Plus, its summoning conditions and effects don't make it strictly an Arcana Force-only card, so you could use it in almost any deck. Furthermore, getting back to the fifty-fifty thing, not only would each Second Coin Toss and one Light Barrier cut the chances of failure in half, but simply having one Reversal of Fate would ensure 99.99999999% success.--Dragonking 14:22, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

The Name[edit]

Should we change the name, as it is called Arcana Force EX - The Light Ruler. Not Arcana Force EX - the Light Ruler, if not. Then why? Please explain. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 05:06, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

Because that's what it says on the card. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:14, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
No, on the card it say Arcana Force EX - The Light Ruler, not Arcana Force - the Light Ruler. Arcana Force EX - The Dark Ruler has the capital, but why is Arcana Force EX - the Light Ruler has the lowercase. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 05:24, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
File:ArcanaForceEx-theLightRulerJUMP-EN-UR-LE.png I'm referring to this card. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:26, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
Nevermind, I red the card trivia WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 05:31, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

What? All card names are written in all caps, including the one in the picture you linked to, Falzar. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 05:42, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

The "X" is debatable, but "The" appears to be written as "THE" in the image you linked to. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 06:04, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

You're referring to the fact that some of the letters are written in smaller capital letters then? How do we know that's the equivalent of lower case? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:10, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

According to the Yu-Gi-Oh! games, all Arcana that has "THE" were change into "The". But why, is Arcana Force - the Light Ruler has "the" lowercase, instead of capital. So, it should be change to either Arcana EX - The Light Ruler or Arcana Ex - The Light Ruler. I mean it kind of strange that Arcana Force EX - The Dark Ruler has "The" capital, not lowercase. Please explain, as this doesn't make sense. The "X" or "x", I understand. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 17:02, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
