Talk:Darkness Approaches
Untitled[edit]
Can this card turn a card into face-down attack position? That shouldn't be possible, but it DOES say don't change its battle position.
- This is the only exception to the 'no face-down Attack Position monsters'. The monster that Darkness Approaches is used on, if in Attack Position, will indeed go face-down vertically, still in Attack Position.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 23:24, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

OMG[edit]
Really? I thought the most reasonable explanation would be it could not target atk possition monsters.. But, vertically face-down!?!? Really?
if one were short on money, could this card be used as a more costly "Book of Moon" replacement to counteract the negative, effect-negating ability of Vayu? Using it on the synchro summoned synchro monster of course, wouldn't it reset the said monsters original effect? --Flygon65 21:31, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Attacking with face-down Attack Position monsters?[edit]
So, we know this card is the only way to have face-down Attack Position monsters. I didn't see any clarification in the ruling about what could be done with them. Can you Flip Summon or attack with them? If they can attack, do they flip face-up when they do? —This unsigned comment was made by Kayube (talk • contribs)

- You can choose to Flip Summon it into face-up ATK Mode, or to change its Battle Position into face-down DEF Mode.
- A face-down monster can never declare an attack; regardless of battle position.
- If it is attacked, the monster will be flipped face-up into face-up Attack Position, and you would compare both monster's ATK.

Personally, I'm sure that monsters set dis way CANNOT attack, for it is set as a facedown monster (think of set spells and traps) and u must flip it FACEUP 2 attack =D
so with this card, you could, in theory, control 2 malefic monsters!!??76.77.238.136 (talk) 22:37, March 15, 2011 (UTC)guest76.77.238.136 (talk) 22:37, March 15, 2011 (UTC)
