No, not quite. "G. B. HUNTER's" Japanese name uses 「Ｇ．Ｂ．(グラディアルビースト)」. It's the bit on the top 「グラディアルビースト」 that means "Gladial Beast". Actual "Gladiator Beasts" use 「剣闘獣(グラディアルビースト)」 in their Japanese names. Both the top; 「グラディアルビースト」 and bottom; 「剣闘獣」 mean "Gladial Beast". Any card that affects "Gladiator Beast" monsters affects monsters with monsters with 「剣闘獣(グラディアルビースト)」 in their Japanese name. Since "G.B. HUNTER" doesn't have that in its name such cards wouldn't work on it. In the English game cards that affect "Gladiator Beast" monsters affect monsters with "Gladiator Beast" in their name. If "Gladiator Beast" was in "G.B. HUNTER's" English name it would mean it would be affected by "Gladiator Beast" support cards, which would be different than the Japanese card game. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:03, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Hardened Armed Dragon Deletion

Well, "Rose, Warrior of Revenge" was deleted more than once for not having enough information. But simply being similar to another article shouldn't justify something's keep or removal. It would be kept or removed for whatever reason the other one exists or doesn't. If there is isn't a sufficient reason why "Bone Crusher" was created in that state, it really should have been deleted too.

So... "not enough information" does makes sense. The table not functioning meant it didn't know if it was an Effect, Synchro, Fusion etc. (Could even be a Spell or Trap for what we know). So the colour and other things come out wrong. I am in favor of creating articles for official things with little known information. However, I am strongly against articles built on speculation or appear misleading enough for someone to post in some forum, "Hey the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki said this", have it proven wrong a fews later and have someone say "Don't ever believe the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki". -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:39, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Questions about effects and rulings

I thought I had the rulings and effects speed and etc. figured out but unfortunately not.

I was asked some ruling questions and I wasn't sure myself. I was reading some example cards' rulings and it was completely different from what I was doing the entire time.

As soon as an opponent summon a monster that have an ignition effect, like cyber valley. The opponent can use the ignition effect right away if he does? Meaning I can't activate trap hole on cyber valley first if the opponent use it right away?

When can I activate trap hole? Activate trap hole as soon as he gets on the field (giving him no time to use the ignition effect, unless that's not how it work). or do I have to chain it to the ignition effect?

There is no chaining to summoning? (Making sure, people keep trap hole-ing my Jinzo lol)(sorry about that, I need to make it a habit of remembering to put the signature) --Xsamuraizx 19:20, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

ah alright, thanks for clearing some things up. Had to re-read the spell speed rules. Jinzo comes out, the turn player's jinzo get priority first and makes all spell 1 and 2 trap cards useless and can not be activated, unless it's a spell 3 like Solemn Judgment.

Royal Decree

Just thought of this just now. If Royal Decree is on the field already. I activate a trap card. My trap card would be chain 1, then royal decree would be chain 2 right? Card Shuffle Rule (If there is one)

I was wondering for a while about this. Some cards say you have to shuffle. I understand that but some cards doesn't say shuffling at all. Do we have to shuffle? or can we memorize the whole deck and then finally pick the required card without shuffling? lol.

One more thing, what can the opponent do? (I shuffle my deck and then the opponent have the option of shuffling/cut the deck?) The opponent cut or shuffle? or both?

I'm asking this since my friend and I play a few cards that goes to the deck face up. (Like pharoah's treasure and parasite paracide) My friends were being cheap in cutting/shuffling my deck after I shuffle, trying to get the card either on top or bottom.

p.s. just read Colvusion of Nature rulings. My friend and I thought we can be cheap with the shuffling. but we can't since we have to shuffle while face down lol.--Xsamuraizx 23:09, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Battle Damage

questions like this have arose with Bazoo the Soul-Eater as well, his txt reads: "Once per turn, you can remove from play up to 3 Monster Cards from your Graveyard. This card gains 300 ATK for each card removed, until the end of your opponent's next turn.", where in the older versions of the card, it said "3 cards" not 'only monsters', and as for Waboku the newest txt reads: "You take no Battle Damage this turn. Ah hah, I was right about waboku (old text, years ago when Chaos Decks were popular), I had a debate against my opponent that the battle damage you would receive will be 0. Battle Damage, key word there, doesn't help keep your monster alive.

Situation Examples

Just trying to think of an example to explain some things to my friends since they are still debating some things with me.

If Turn Player activates Raigeki Break, the Opponent chains with Royal Decree, then Turn Player chains Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy Royal Decree, Raigeki Break resolves and doesn't get negated?

Next is...

If Turn Player activates Torrential Tribute, then Opponent chains with Call of the Haunted and special summon Jinzo. Torrential Tribute will be negated? and what if Turn Player chains Mystical Space Typhoon to Call of the Haunted? Note: Found out that Jinzo doesn't special summon at all. The real question is that if he ever appeared once on the field in a chain and then get destroyed. Will the trap cards be negated or go through?

Answer the questions if you can and if you have a better situation examples that can explain why Jinzo can't be chained with Trap Hole. (You can't chain to summoning, but my friend was asking why can't he chain to the effect.)

If you have the option to activate an effect (using the word can and etc.), it's too late if an opponent activate trap hole? Ex:

I summon Exiled Force, I can't use the effect before my Opponent use Trap Hole? If I CAN use it, will Trap Hole still work if Opponent chains, since the last thing that happened was a monster being summoned? (I know Exiled Force's effect will go through since its effect is a cost, unless I'm wrong. If it was a different monster that have optional effect, Trap Hole will work?)

I tribute summon for Zaborg the Thunder Monarch, its effect is mandatory and it happens even if it was destroyed by Trap Hole.

One more question.

If I activate Bait Doll on a face down card, and it's a counter trap card like Magic Jammer, Solemn Judgment, Dark Bribe, etc. Your opponent HAVE a choice of countering it and make it go to graveyard instead. If opponent doesn't activate, will Bait Doll force it's activation and make the opponent pay the cost?(If it's Magic Jammer and Solemn Judgment)I know the cards misses their time to activate so my Bait Doll will come back to my deck. The word "can"

Just to make sure, Stardust Dragon's effect can be activated anytime?

If yes, does this mean all monsters that have the word "can" can be activated on any turn and phase? (except during damage calculation unless it specify it can).

There's no need to add this to every card article. It's only there for cards that go over 400px in width. It blurs images wich are less than this width. I'm a bit confused on why some monsters can be special summoned again after it was special summon the "correct" way. The Dark Creator ruling says it can be special summoned again. While Chaos Sorcerer can't? I heard some LV Monsters can be special summoned after it was summoned the correct way.

If both The Dark Creator and Chaos Sorcerer first were special summoned the correct way. I can monster reborn The Dark Creator with no penalty/condition to fulfill? But I can't with Chaos Sorcerer?--Xsamuraizx 20:55, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

It might depend on how WC09 words them. I would say if the effects are the same just worded differently, change the current lores to the WC09 ones. If they have different effects than the anime, set the video game effect as "lore" and the anime one as "animelore". (If they use outdated terminology like "points of damage" instead of "damage", maybe it's better store the WC09 wording under "wc09lore")

Also there's a bunch of WC09 original Speed Spells that we still haven't documented. If you have any of the, could you create their articles? -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:07, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

1. Go to the page (http://irc.wikia.com/).
2. Choose a user name.
3. In the drop-down menu next to channel, go to the very bottom of the list; "##Yu-Gi-Oh" will be one of the last options. Choose that.
