- Use "A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon" when you can summon that same returned monster back to the field or in combination with another card. Some examples would be:
- If you already had a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and a "Kaiser Sea Horse" in play, use "A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon" with Blue-Eyes White Dragon and summon it back with Kaiser Sea Horse.
- After a Dragon has returned to the hand, you can play: "Lighten the Load", "Snipe Hunter", "Herald of Creation:, "Spirit Ryu" etc. Then play "Super Rejuvenation".
- This card is ideal in a Deck focused on "King Dragun" and/or "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", due to the fact that you can re-Summon the Dragon you returned to your hand with either of their effects if you have not used them already.
- Use "A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon" with Normal Dragon-type monsters and either Normal Summon them if you have not Normal Summoned that turn or, if they are Level five or higher, bring them back out with "Ancient Rules".
- Use this card with Dragons that can be Special Summoned, such as "Dark Armed Dragon" or "Rainbow Dragon".
- Use this card on "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" and then Special Summon it with "Red-Eyes B. Chick's" effect afterwards.
- This cards works great with "Vice Dragon" if your monster zone is empty. Simply use "Vice Dragon's" effect to special summon himself, and use this card. You can then Special summon "Vice Dragon" again, and remove him for a Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon or Tribute him for a Level five or Level six monster safely.
- This card works great with "Yamata Dragon" since it returns to your hand at the of that turn End Phase anyway.
- Because Heavy Storm is now Forbidden, this card could be used as a substitute in most Dragon Decks.
- Combine this card with effects like Mind Control to return your opponent's Level 5 or higher Dragons back to their hand.
- Combine this card with Burst Stream of Destruction when you have a face-up Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field. Since Blue-Eyes White Dragon cannot attack on the turn you activate Burst Stream's effect, you can use this card to destroy all spells and traps and clear your opponent's field.
- You can also use Masked Dragon's effect to Special Summon either Different Dimension Dragon or Divine Dragon - Excelion from your Deck, then activate this card during your next turn for easy Spell/Trap clearing.
