- In a "Frog" deck, this card can be summoned a multitude of times using the effects of "Substitoad," "Fishborg Blaster," and "Ronintoadin." (Yeah, and that's why cards like these get band, dumbass. It's only a matter of time before you dimwitts abuse affects like these.)
- By controlling a "Substitoad" whilst a "Ronintoadin" and a "Fishborg Blaster" are in your Graveyard, Special Summon Ronintoadin" and "Fishborg Blaster" using their effects (preferably discarding a "Frog" for "Fishborg") and tribute "Ronintoadin" to summon a "Des Frog" using the effect of "Substitoad," re-summon "Ronintoadin" again and tribute it again to summon a "Beelze Frog," Synchro Summon "Trishula" using "Fishborg," "Beelze Frog" and "Des Frog" (as 1 + 3 + 5 = 9), tribute it for "Substitoad," repeat.
- It is best to summon several "Frogs" with "Substitoad" by repeatedly tributing 2-3 times before attempting several Synchro Summons.
- This can be refueled using a combination of "Pot of Avarice," "Burial from a Different Dimension," and "Moray of Greed."
- This card can gain an advantage over "Exodia" users, as they are trying to get the pieces back.
- Use "Water Hazard" to Special Summon a Level 4 WATER monster from your hand. Then Normal Summon "Deep Sea Diva" and Summon a Level 3 Sea Serpent-Type Monster, for an instant Synchro Summon of this card. Alternatively, you could Special Summon "Fenrir", followed by the same combo with "Diva".
- Use "Urgent Tuning" during the Battle Phase after your monsters finished attacking to have this card's effect activate in the Battle Phase and give an extra attack.
- Use "De-Synchro" to use the effect twice and cripple your opponent further.
- Send "Dandylion" to the Graveyard with "Hand Destruction" or "Foolish Burial" then, Special Summon 2 "Fluff Tokens". Normal Summon "Debris Dragon" whose effect Special Summons "Dandylion" back from your Graveyard. Then, tune "Debris Dragon" to "Dandylion" and the 2 "Fluff Tokens" to Synchro Summon "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier". "Dandylion's" effect Special Summons 2 more "Fluff Tokens".
- You can use "Synchro Strike" to give it 2000 ATK since it was Synchro Summoned using four monsters.
- This card is surprisingly easy to special summon - multiple times - in an "Infernity" deck. You can use "Infernity Mirage" or "Infernity Gun" to Special Summon "Infernity Beetle" and "Infernity Necromancer", then using "Necromancer's" effect special summon "Infernity Archfiend". You can use "Infernity Archfiend" to search "Infernity Gun", then synchro summon for level 9. "Infernity Gun" allows the combo to be repeated.
- This card works well in a "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" deck. Use "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth's" effect to bring "Royal Swamp Eel", one Level 2 and one Level 3 or one Level 4 and one Level 1 "Fish" monsters to the field and Synchro Summon this card.
- ("Oyster Meister" or "Ocean's Keeper")+("Piranha Army" or "Nimble Sunfish"), ("Metabo-Shark" or "Unshaven Angler ")+("Deepsea Macrotrema ") are good examples for this combo
- This card can also be summoned in "Cyberdark" Deck. Normal summon "Cyberdark Horn", "Cyberdark Keel" or "Cyberdark Edge" and equip it with "Dragunity Phalanx", but make sure you have a Level 3 Monster on your field.
- One option is using "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" to Special Summon the Level 3 Dragon.
