- This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Ties of the Brethren", "Painful Escape", "Transmodify", "Serpentine Princess", "Vampire Dragon", "Sphere of Chaos", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Rescue Ferret", "Underworld Egg Clutch", "Beautunaful Princess", "Shark Cruiser", "Mermaid Shark", "Big Whale", "Mermail Abysspike" and "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth".
- An easy way to use this card without banishing it is to have a face-up "Imperial Iron Wall".
- Another method is to activate the effect of "Forgotten Temple of the Deep" during the Battle Phase. This way, "Big Jaws" won't be banished permanently, and return during the End Phase.
- After attacking with this card, during the Battle Phase (before this card is banished), tribute it to activate "Spiritual Water Art - Aoi" and force your opponent to discard a card from their hand while sending this card to the Graveyard.
- You can use the effect to activate "Zero Force" to weaken your opponent's other monsters.
- Use this combo while you control "Elemental HERO Wildheart" or "Tenkabito Shien". Since they are unaffected by Trap Cards, they will be able to keep their ATK.
- Use multiple copies of this card with "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark" to give an extra 300 damage from its burn effect.
- Use "Umiiruka" to change the ATK of "Big Jaws" from 1800 to 2300.
- After attack, use "Urgent Tuning" along with a Tuner monster like "Deep Sea Diva", "Reese the Ice Mistress", "Dewdark of the Ice Barrier" or "Geomancer of the Ice Barrier" for a Synchro Summon.
- Use "Fish Depth Charge" after the attack to destroy monster and draw a card.
- Since this card banish itself at the end of the Battle Phase, it makes a good combo with "Infected Mail" and "Leviair the Sea Dragon" to allow it to attack directly up to three times.
