OCG Rulings

  • The effect of "Time Wizard" is an Ignition Effect that activates on the field. (The effect does not target. When the effect resolves, you peform one coin toss and call it.)[1]
  • If you call the coin toss wrong, the effect destroys all monsters you control, including the "Time Wizard" that activated the effect. (Not only are face-up monsters destroyed, but face-down monsters as well.)[1]
  • If you call the coin toss wrong, you take damage equal to half the total ATK of your face-up monsters destroyed by the effect. (This does not include the ATK of your destroyed face-down monsters.)[1]
  • Destroying your monsters and taking damage equal to half the total ATK of your destroyed face-up monsters are considered to resolve simultaneously.[1]

Mentions in Other Rulings

  • Stardust Dragon: You can use "Stardust Dragon"'s effect against this card, since its effect will destroy monsters if the result is heads, and will destroy monsters if the result is tails (there is no situation where the effect will not destroy monsters).[2]
