• You can combo this card with "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" by returning cards you control and then use "Brionac's" effect to discard them to return your opponent's cards.

• You can return "Elemental Hero Absolute Zero" to the Extra Deck to destroy all of your opponent's monsters. Similarily, using "Mind Control" can return an opponent's Synchro or Fusion monster to the deck. Although it will not gain an ATK boost since the monster was unable to return to the hand, this card will not gain an ATK boost.

• This card is useful in returning Flip effect monsters or monsters whose effects activate when flipped face-up, like "Penguin Soldier" or "Nightmare Penguin".

• You can return cards that stop both players from attacking like "Nightmare's Steelcage" or "Gravity Bind" so you can attack on your turn and just play the cards after the Battle Phase. Using "Mist Body" could help prevent the destruction of this monster by battle during your opponent's turn.

• This card can also work well with monsters that have effects that activate when they are Normal Summoned such as "Breaker the Magical Warrior" or "Marauding Captain". Just return the monster to your hand and Normal Summon it again.

• Have a "Raiza the Storm Monarch" on the field and some recyclable tribute fodder (e.g. "D.D. Survivor" with "Macro Cosmos") and summon "Raiza" each turn for a semi-lockdown.

• You can use Continuous, Equip and Field Spell Cards to raise this card's ATK by up to 3000 (a maximum of 6) and then simply reactivate the cards with no loss to the player. This can also be done using Continuous Trap Cards, but is slower.
  • Use with "Mage Power" for an incredible attack boost. If all Spell and Trap card zones are filled along with the Field Spell zone, this card gains 3000 ATK when they are returned. If "Mage Power" is used after, this card gains an additional 3000 ATK, giving this card 8000 ATK total. Using "Giant Trunade" beforehand will clear the opponent's Spells and Traps as well as return yours to your hand.
  • Use this card to return "Burden of the Mighty" to your hand, then play it again. Your monster will gain 500 ATK and theirs will still lose 100 x their level.
  • Any card that can only be used 'Once per turn' like "Herculean Power", "Court of Justice", "Swords of Concealing Light", "Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen", "Water Hazard" or "Call of the Mummy" can be used twice if they are returned between uses.
  • "Jam Breeding Machine" prevents you from Summoning while it is active. By having it on the field, you receive a free token to tribute and then can follow up by removing "Jam Breeding Machine" so that you can tribute something with the said token.
  • Use this card with "Boss Rush" (another card which prevents Normal Summons and Sets.)
  • "Morale Boost" can be used before you activate Equip cards like "Mist Body" and "Big Bang Shot" and ATK raising Equips like "Axe of Despair" to gain 1000 LP. You can then remove it from the field with this card before the Equip cards are destroyed, preventing the 1000 LP damage.
    • If you use "Big Bang Shot" on an opponent's monster and return it to your hand with the effect of "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier" you can effectively remove an opponent's monster from play and increase "Dewloren's" attack by 500.
  • "Toll" can be abused to only force your opponent to pay to attack.
  • Combo this card with "Spell Absorption", gaining you 500 Life Points each time you bounce a Spell Card back to your hand and reactivate it.
  • Use with "Black Garden" to make only your opponent's monsters lose half their ATK and give you a "Rose Token".
  • "Chain Energy" can be removed to prevent the owner from having to pay. If you are using more than one, set any Spells you want to activate before activating a "Chain Energy".
  • "Prohibition" prevents one card of your choice from being used. Reselect which card can not be used by using this effect.
  • "Miracle Fertilizer" is destroyed if a monster it Special Summoned is removed from the field. Removing it from the field not only allows a player to use its ability twice per turn, but also breaks "Miracle Fertilizer's" effect on that monster, preventing its destruction should it be removed from the field.
  • "Future Fusion" can be used to reduce cards in the deck and fill your graveyard by bouncing it back to your hand once a turn.
  • "Vengeful Bog Spirit" can be removed so you can summon a monster and allow it to attack on the same turn. Replay it before your turn ends so your opponent faces the downsides of that card.
  • "D.D. Borderline" prevents players from attacking. Remove it, attack, and reactivate.
  • "Power Filter" prevents players from Special Summoning monsters with 1000 or less attack. Remove it, Special Summon, reactivate.

• To activate "Ground Collapse" you have to select two monster zones. Return it back to your hand and you can reselect the monster zones. This strategy works similarly with "Xing Zhen Hu" as you can select two different Set Spell(s) or Trap(s) cards.

• This card works well with cards that are not always removed from the field when their targets are removed, like "Spellbinding Circle".

• This card works well in a "Fortune Lady" deck with "Future Visions" in hand, along with "Fortune Lady Light". With "Dewloren" on the field, play "Future Visions", summon "Fortune Lady Light", use her effect in tandem with Future Vision to Special Summon Summon another Fortune Lady. With "Light of Intervention" activated on your opponent's turn, you end up forcing the removal of the opponent's card. On your next turn, when "Fortune Lady Light" comes back onto the field, you can use "Dewloren"'s effect to return "Future Vision" and "Fortune Lady Light" back to your hand, summon another "Fortune Lady", and prevent the return of the opponent's monster. This combination can be combined with cards like "Dark Simorgh" and "Anti-Spell Fragrance" to lock your opponent down.

• You can use this card to recycle a used "Call of the Haunted". By activating "Call of the Haunted" and summoning a monster, you can bounce the summoned monster back to your hand and then bounce "Call of the Haunted" back afterwards. This will give a boost of 1000 ATK, a monster to summon or discard for effects such as "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" and re-use of "Call of the Haunted" for another monster.

Traditional Format

• You can use this card to recycle a used "Premature Burial".
