- This card is great for archetypes that are centered on low-Level Machine-Type monsters, such as the "Karakuri", "Gradius", "Morphtronic" and "Genex" archetypes.
- Archetypes like the "Ancient Gear" and the "Reactor" series can also benefit greatly from this card.
- This is especially useful for the VWXYZ archetype, because until now the only cards the deck had to gather the pieces on the field quickly resulted in loss of card advantage. "Frontline Base", "Photon Lead" and "Crashbug Road" are all -1s, this card is a 1-for-1. Since the deck loses advantage from summoning the fusions and needs to keep cards in its hand to fuel "XYZ-Dragon Cannon", conservation of resources is extremely important to this archetype.
- This card can summon a Machine-Type monster from the graveyard like "Chaos Infinity". That makes it very useful for quick summon of Synchro/Xyz fodder or you let destroy it to summon a "Meklord Emperor".
- This card allows for quick swarming and Xyz Summoning in a Geargia deck. With a Geargiganto X on the field (easily Summoned by Normal Summoning any Level 4 Geargia, then Special Summoning Geargiaccel), you can send a Level 4 Geargia to the Graveyard using its effect to add Geargiaccel to your hand. Use Iron Call to Special Summon the sent Geargia, the Special Summon Geargiaccel to Xyz Summon a second Geargiganto or just about any other Rank 4 Xyz Monster. This nets you two powerful monsters, and can be done in the first turn with only the two Geargias and Iron Call in your hand.
