• This card combos well with the 'Elemental Dragons'. Each dragon has a specific effect when it is banished.

• This works excellently with Chaos Zone, granting you 5 counters, which is enough to instantly Summon a monster that is banished. (Not to mention, it can banish the monster you want to Special Summon via Chaos Zone)
• You can combine this card with "Return from the Different Dimension".
  • Combine that combination after removing the VWXYZ series cards from play, and bring them all back and Summon VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon from your Extra Deck

• This card is also good with "Exchange of the Spirit".

• This card can be used as a combo with "Crush Card Virus", and can be particularly helpful if you manage to send some of your opponent's most powerful cards to the Graveyard.

• This card can be used as a combo with "Protector of the Sanctuary" and "Card Destruction" to destroy your opponent's hand.
  • For this combo to be "fully" effective, you have to go first.
  • On your First turn, you must these 3 cards in your hand.
  • Normal or Special Summon "Protector of the Sanctuary"
  • Set "Soul Release"
  • Activate "Card Destruction" and your opponent will discard his whole hand and draw 0 cards.
  • Activate "Soul Release" you have set and banish all 5 cards in your opponent's Graveyard.

• This card is an excellent counter-strategy against an "Exodia Necross" or "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" strategy.

• Use this card with "Soul Absorption" to gain up to 2500 Life Points.

• Use this card in a "Dark Armed Dragon" Deck to manage the number of DARK Monsters in your Graveyard, a Guardian Eatos deck to make sure you can Special Summon her with her effect, or in an "Archlord Kristya" deck to manage the number of Fairy monsters in your Graveyard.

• This card can heavily damage a Batteryman Deck, since Batteryman Industrial Strength relies on Thunder types in the Graveyard, and Batteryman AA's are useless if they are alone.

• This card can be used to lower the ATK of "Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes", "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes", etc.

• This card can be very helpful in decks that use Necroface. If you remove Necroface with the effect of Gold Sarcophagus and activate its effect, then activate Soul Release to banish cards from your Graveyard, you can then return those cards back to your deck once you get Necroface back from Gold Sarcophagus's effect and Summon it. You could even remove Spell and Trap cards to reuse them later, not to mention the additional attack boost for Necroface.

• This card is great to "kill" Decks which heavily rely on the Graveyard, such as Blackwings, Infernitys, X-Sabers, Quickdraw Dandywarrior or Fableds.

• This card can give a quick boost to monsters that gain attack from banished cards, such as Gren Maju Da Eiza and the Helios line.
