  • You can tribute this card to negate the effect of "Yubel" during the End Phase and Special Summon "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" and have "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode" return instantly too.
  • You can create an OTK with this card by attacking with it for 3000 damage, using "Assault Slash" to get rid of it for "Stardust Dragon" and attacking with that for 2500, then activating "Assault Mode Activate" to get the other copy of this card and attacking with that finishing them off.
  • To counter removal effects while this card is in the graveyard, use an "Imperial Iron Wall".
  • "Necrovalley" can protect this card, since this card doesn't target cards it wont be affected by "Necrovalley" effect.
  • Your opponent won't be able to use cards like "Monster Reborn" or any other card to Special Summon this card once it's in the grave, so you won't have to worry about using its effect to negate a card then have your opponent revive it on their side.
  • A great card to have on the field with this card is "Imperial Iron Wall" or "Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer", to ensure that your opponent won't remove it from play so it can come back to the field.
  • You can negate effects that activate in the hand, graveyard or even banished zone.
  • Since "Assault Mode Activate" is hard to use because it summons one "/Assault Mode" card from your Deck, you can use cards like "Pot of Generosity" or "Pot of Avarice" to get this card back in your deck. "Assault Teleport" is best for this purpose. You can use "Hand Destruction" to get this card in the graveyard, then use "Pot of Avarice" to get him back in your deck, plus getting to draw another two cards, maybe getting you an "Assault Mode Activate". Another best card is "Good Goblin Housekeeping", as it helps you return an Assault Mode to the Deck without fear of drawing it again.
  • If you find that you have drawn this card, a good strategy to get rid of it is to summon a "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" and use this card as the discard cost for its effect. Later on you can use "Pot of Avarice" to recycle it into your deck and draw two cards.
  • This card, along with "Stardust Dragon", is unaffected by "Skill Drain" because tributing this card is a Cost and cannot be negated, and its reviving effect activates in the graveyard.
  • If you have this card on your field when you clear the field, with a card like "Black Rose Dragon", you'll both clear the field and attack your opponent's life points directly with the non-/Assault Mode version of this card.
  • Use "Plaguespreader Zombie" to return this card from your hand to the top of your deck to use it with "Assault Mode Activate".
  • The deck where this card fits best is probably in a "Dragunity" deck, as it can summon "Stardust Dragon" fast and with few resources, and the field spell "Dragon Ravine" is very useful in dumping extra "/Assault" cards when the monster is already summoned.
  • This card's effect can protect your Synchro Monsters from the "Meklord" Emperors.
