- This card's name 'Lagia' comes from the dinosaur genus Unenlagia.
- This card's effect is similar to the effect of "Solemn Judgment", besides that it does not negate Flip Summons.
- This is the first card to be able to detach all of its Xyz Materials at once.
- This is the first Dragon-Type monster to support the Dinosaur-Type.
- This may be a reference to the fact that Rex Raptor once had a Dragon, "Red-Eyes B. Dragon", amongst his arsenal of Dinosaurs, said Dragon being his strongest monster; both "Evolkaiser Lagia" and "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" have identical ATK and DEF, which is a further evidence of this.
