- This card's ATK, DEF, Type and Attribute are identical to that of the long-forbidden card "Witch of the Black Forest". Its name and effect is near identical, but made exclusively for Plant-Type monsters, though it must be destroyed by battle, whereas "Witch of the Black Forest" need only be sent to the Graveyard from the field.
- This card's effect is also very similar to the effect of "Botanical Girl". The only difference is that "Violet Witch" must be destroyed by battle first, and it is that you can select a Plant-Type monster with 1500 DEF or less, not 1000.
- Both monsters are also human-like plants (in appearance.)
