Revision as of 02:27, 12 May 2013

So this contest is going to be a TAG TEAM contest. The theme of this contest is for two contestants to pair up and create decks based on Duel Terminal archetypes. Kinda cool considering most of the duel later duel terminal story is about different tribes coming together to kill a common foe, however, in this contest, the goal of working together is to have fun and just enjoy the experience.

Do note that this contest is being started a bit early, so users can select a partner to pair up with, and if you enter, you must be reliable, you must put in equal effort and help your partner with the decks.

Guidelines

  • All OCG and TCG Cards are fine, as long as they have an effect.
  • The decks must be placed in a Template:Decklist.
  • The contest is in March 1st, 2013 Banlist.
  • The teams will be given about an extra day to post if they are late.
    • One partner may post up both decks, if the other can't make it.
  • The decks must be based on Duel Terminal Archetypes, and both Archetypes must be of different attributes!
    • E.G., One partner select Laval and the other partner selects Gishki. They can not be a Laval/Flamvell or Gishki/Ice Barrier mix, because the attributes of the archetypes are the same.
  • For Deck testing purposes, assume that Tag Duels involve shared field/graveyard/banished zone/LP, like in the video games. You may design your Decks to use the quirks in those systems to your advantage.
  • The decks will be due May 23, 2013.
    • The due date is longer, because this is a tag team contest.

Registration

This registration is a bit different. If you need a partner, add your name into the "Contestants who Need Partners" section, after you've found a partner, take both your usernames and put them under the "Confirmed Teams" section.

If you see a username in the "Contestants who Need Partners" section, please contact them on their talk pages and ask if they would want to be your partner. We don't want anyone left out of this fun contest! Also feel free to invite more people to this contest so no one is left out! --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 12:53, May 10, 2013 (UTC)

Comments? Questions? Complaints?

Just wondering, but how would we test the decks if we can use DevPro or anything else that would allow us to play Tag Duels? This has been the only thing keeping me from entering right now, so I figured I would ask. Hastydemon2 (talkcontribs) 15:42, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

If you want to test, you'll probably have to use DN and just continuously PM. However, as the contest is made to be fun, that's not always needed. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 17:20, May 11, 2013 (UTC)
Just learned that DevPro has the ability to host Tag Duels. In the "Host" options there should be a tag-duel option. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 18:42, May 11, 2013 (UTC)
Wait, Hasty, did you mean to say "...if we can't use DevPro..."? If that's the case, I got nothing. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 23:06, May 11, 2013 (UTC)
