- This card works as a fantastic engine for Fusion based Decks. Use "Lonefire Blossom" to Special Summon two other copies of itself, then use the final copy to Special Summon this card, and then use it to Special Summon "Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra", who can then search "Polymerization" or the archetypes "Fusion" Spell for a Fusion play. "Ophrys Scorpio" and "Darlingtonia Cobra" can then be used for a variety of plays after this, including Fusing into a new monster, as material for a Rank 3 Xyz Monster ("Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss" is a good generic choice for most decks), or for the Link Summon of a Link-2 monster.
- Combo this card with "Predaplant Spinodionaea" as both cards can search each other out and potentially swarm the whole field with "Predaplant" monsters. (In this case, try running "Seed Cannon" as well to add up "Plant Counter's" for each Plant-type monster that is summon (maximum 5) and inflict 500 points of damage for each one.)
- By using "Ultra Polymerization", one can use "Ophrys Scorpio" and "Darlingtonia Cobra" to Fusion Summon "Predaplant Chimerafflesia" and a Rank 3 Xyz Monster.
- Use this combo chain to search for "Fusion Destiny", then Link Summon "Artifact Dagda" using "Ophrys Scorpio" and "Darlingtonia Cobra". When you activate "Fusion Destiny", you'll then be able to activate the effect of "Dagda" and Set "Artifact Scythe" to your field, after which "Fusion Destiny" can resolve and Fusion Summon "Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer". At the start of the opponent's turn, activate "Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer" and destroy "Scythe", cutting off the opponent's Extra Deck for the turn.
