Warrior Deck

Fiend Deck

Can anyone help me with these decks? (And before you ask, I know that the first has 57 cards, and I am trying to reduce the size) 76.19.31.134 (talk) 23:37, May 7, 2013 (UTC)

Added links to the cards. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 23:58, May 7, 2013 (UTC)

Ah, Warriors: my forte. First, it doesn't pack much destruction power, and that's what Warriors are all about - clearing the field and then hitting your opponent with powerful ATK. Monsters like D.D. Warrior Lady and Exiled Force would be a good idea, and perhaps some spells other than Dark Hole. Not that you should get rid of it, but it's more of a last resort card; after all, you'd hate to have to take down your own field just to get at your opponent's. Maybe a copy of Lightning Vortex and/or Smashing Ground. Same thing goes for Torrential Tribute, your Bottomless Trap Holes have that covered already.

Second, ATK power. Warriors have the lion's share of ATK, but they need some more just in case. Cards like Command Knight and Comrade Swordsman of Landstar (also a Tuner, big bonus) would be a good move, as well as spells like Blustering Winds and Ego Boost, and traps like Skill Successor and Rising Energy to help your monsters out of tricky situations.

Another good trap to look at is Desperate Tag. That thing is a godsend for Warriors.

Those are just a few ideas, but they should really improve the play of the deck. Hope it helps.

It seems the only focus of your Warrior deck is to include as many warrior cards and related support as possible. That doesn't always yield a tight deck. Take a look at the following decklist I found while cruising around the 'net (I tend to collect decks that interest me). This might give you ideas, and echoes the advice given above. Also, please note, I did not include an extra deck.

I took a look at some of the cards, and I did try Desperate tag for a while, but too often I ended up without a suitable warrior in my hand, I mean, it's good for loaded hands, and when you have half of the Marauding Captain lock, but for some reason it didn't work well. Here are some of the cards that didn't make the cut: A/D Changer, Bull Blader, Colossal Fighter/assault mode, Assault mode Activate, Assault Beast, Assault Mercenary, Assault Teleport, (Essentially an entire assault mode section), Sword of Dragon's soul, (Works well with Obnoxious Celtic guard, but is now relegated to Side deck), Safe zone, (Sided), Fusion Sword Murasame Blade, (Sided in favor of the Strongest shield), Command Knight, (Good DEF, good attack gaining eff, but didn't manipulate attacks the CORRECT way), Obnoxious Celtic Guard, (A good eff, but too easily overcome), M-X Saber Invoker, (Good Rank 3, led to some great Rahz Combos, and potentially lead to Exiled force combos, BUT it was an unfortunate victim of too many good cards, too little space.), Dash Warrior, (Yeah, a good card, but quickly outlives its usefulness), Freed the Matchless General, (A good card as well, essentially a Rahz per turn, BUT, it's a 5, (although if I added Transtarn it could work) and is easily overcome by Monarchs and the like.), Jutte Fighter, (Yeah, I don't know WHAT I was thinking with that one), Koa'ki Meiru Bergzak, (A good, no, a GREAT Beatstick, but when I added BLS, it was Blade Knight in, Bergzak out), Level Warrior, (Rarely a good card, but when combed with other cards, it could pull my fat out of the fire once or twice), Stronghold Guardian, (A good card, but it rarely payed off in the long run, may save me for a turn at most), Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight, (it was either this or Fiend Megacyber, and the fiend megacyber showed more benefits than Swift Gaia), The Immortal Bushi, (Bushi was the most recent to go, simply put, my Extra has much FEWER warriors now than it used to have) (Plus, why TWO bushis?), Torapart, (No doubt, a GREAT tuner, but like with Bushi, I have too many non-warriors to make Torapart worth it.) (Plus, one of my main combos requires a two-tuner to sync into Armory arm, and Torapart can't do it), Tri-Tummy Knight, (the combos I thought would result were GREATLY exaggerated), Warrior Lady of the Wasteland, (the deck was simply becoming too diverse). Note: you have a lot of GREAT reccomendations for cards...only one problem...the deck is ALREADY at 57 cards. What do I get rid of to put your cards in? What determines which cards you take out is what your win condition or strategy or focus for your deck. Once you figure that out, you can then emphasize the cards that help you acheive that condition.

I THINK you're shooting for a Warrior Toolbox here. Look at the following list, which I found [1] . While it needs updating, this list seems to be closer to the build you are trying to achieve.

Basically, you abuse Goblindbergh with Rose to make Colossal Fighter or Blade Armor Ninja for pressuring and general beatdown- they're kinda your boss monsters. Bergzak beats, Junk Synchron and Doppelwarrior give you a little more variety with what you can make (Junk pulls Pashuul, Doppel, Veiler or Striker out of the grave), D.D. Warrior Lady is an out to weird things, and Veiler is staple in everything forever right now- it also opens up easier BLS plays.
With more tuners, Mind Control gives you a bigger variety of options for synchro summoning and helps open up your opponent's field to game-ending swings. Scapegoat can be used defensively, makes pluses when chained to MST and gives you extra synchro material. The Traps should explain themselves- you've got plenty of big beaters, so your Trap line-up is mainly to keep troublesome monster effects at bay.
The Extra Deck has a couple interesting options. X-Saber Wayne opens up more synchro plays and can also act as a 2100 beater for OTKs and game-ending swings. It also opens up the opportunity to make XX-Saber Hyunlei if you Junk back an Effect Veiler, so you have a little extra backrow removal. Armory Arm is easy to make considering your options and can be pretty deadly with cards like Bergzak and Blade Armor, since they can each swing twice- don't overlook Armory Arm's effect damage, it can be a huge game-changer. Finally, Utopia's there cause, well, it's Utopia. Generally good Rank 4 to have around.

As for your Fiend deck... Take a look at the Fiend builds in the Decks for Free! galleries. Decks for Free! Attribute/Type Gallery D-F. In particular, look at the build by Resk, which is most like yours. It will need some updating - Giant Trunade is Forbidden, now, and Solemn Warning is Limited - but it should help you pare down your own. ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 17:00, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

There are also some good Warrior builds in the DFF galleries as well. Here's a link: Forum:Decks for Free!/Attribute/Type Gallery T-Z#Warrior. ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 17:05, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

I'll give it a look, *sigh* it's these moments when you wish there was a program that you could pit the computer against the Computer with your custom decks... Destroyer83 (talkcontribs) 19:47, May 11, 2013 (UTC)
