Just wondering what people think of Arc-V after the first episode has aired. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:30, April 7, 2014 (UTC)

I'm a bit torn, to be honest. I certainly wasn't too happy to see how Pendulum Monsters showed up, but hopefully it's a one-off thing. I was quite glad to see things clarified though, and the cast look quite different to me. Yuya, though, I find entertaining (obviously he's chosen a good profession) and I couldn't help but laugh at his entrance to the Duel. Hoping that Yuzu isn't going to make that fan-smacking thing a habit, although she's probably using a harisen (I think that's right). It'll take a while for me to get used to Action Duels though. With his entire "entertainment" schtick and him being his own MC, Yuya brings back memories of the Fortune Cup.
Interactive Solid Vision is a cool concept, being able to ride on your own kickass monster that you Summon.
Not really fond of the whole Action Duel concept. While it does bear resemblance to the roller coaster from WDC, it also provides the writers with lots of copout opportunities without either player having Set any S/Ts. This also provides Yuya the opportunity to exploit Pendulum Summons to its logical monster-spamming conclusion without needing to run many S/Ts in his Decks. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 02:50, April 7, 2014 (UTC)
I want to watch the first episode, but if I do, it's probably going to be the RAW version, as I don't understand that much Japanese. Waiting for a subbed version, but it's probably going to be awhile. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:37, April 7, 2014 (UTC)

I just hope Yuya doesn't spam his boss monster like ALL of the characters from ZEXAL, though with his boss monster being in the Main Deck, I don't think that will happen (I hope I'm not wrong). NovaTsukimori (talkcontribs) 03:49, April 7, 2014 (UTC)

Nah, he won't do that. He's an Entertainment Duelist, remember? If he spams his ace, the audience might get tired of it. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 05:00, April 7, 2014 (UTC)

Deadfish fansubs have subbed it. I watched the first episode and it was pretty lackluster. But then, I guess I shouldn't be surprised given this series has been going downhill since the original ended. This new series is just so childish. Even more childish than ZeXaL. Yu-Gi-Oh! is at its best when it is more mature with childish moments. This new stuff is crap. Worst of all, the episode did nothing to explain to me what this new Pendulum summoning is. Oh, and now the first person to play does not even get to draw a card. LAME!! The designs are dumb, but the worst is that stupid hippo. I thought the cards Judai used in GX were bad, but these are just awful. Overall, I give it a 3/10 and that is really just for the opening song. I may watch the next episode just to see if they actually explain Pendulum, but I don't know. If you are a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan and over the age of 8, do not even waste your time on this crap. If you like Beyblade and are 5, it might be for you.

5D's in my opinion was by far the best one. I think Arc v is at a way better start then Zexal, and Yuya isn't being childish on purpose like Yuma, he just wants to entertain the crowd which is okay. We also got some throwbacks unlike Zexal, if you look at the list you can see a Synchro monster and I think an Xyz (if we're lucky we may get some Xyz and Synchro Summons; they threw in the DM Battleguards, so it seems like they may. So far Yuya may be the only one to Pendulum Summon since his Pendant causes it). Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 13:16, April 8, 2014 (UTC)

I watch Arc-V on Dailymotion. I liked the first episode quite a bit. Yuzu is perfect to succeed Kotori. Yuya was alright. Action Duels are interesting. Garchomp87 (talkcontribs) 05:52, April 8, 2014 (UTC)

@ Dr Kain, the rules for Pendulum Summoning have already been established by Konami in earlier leaks/posts. See this org post. As for the no draw thing, it's to reflect a recent change of rules in the OCG, these changes include not allowing the player who goes first to draw and allowing there to be 2 field spells active at the same time (So you can control a Necrovalley and your opponent can control a Geartown at the same time). --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 12:59, April 8, 2014 (UTC)
