Forum:Inzector effect timing

Hi there,

Just wondering about whether inzector effects still work if they activate at the same time. For example if an inzector centipede that has a inzector giga mantis equiped to it is destroyed in battle does centipede still get its search effect and does mantis still get to revive an inzector (e.g. the centipede it was equiped to) or do they both miss the timing? thanks.

"Inzektor Centipede" is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Immediately afterwards, "Inzektor Giga-Mantis" would be sent to the Graveyard because it's no longer equipped to a Monster. I presume that a chain would start, with Centipede being Chain Link 1 and Giga-Mantis being Link 2, though I may be mistaken.
After looking at the cards again, I'm even more unsure. I had forgotten the wording of Centipede and read it as you've given in the example. I myself would like to know, now. As far as I can tell there's a definite possibility of missing the timing on either effect, but I don't know which would activate first. The Medicine Man (talkcontribs) 00:27, December 23, 2011 (UTC)

Well ok thank you for your contribution but that answers no questions. Can anyone else shed any light on the issue?

"If" effects dont miss timing. thats the answer. i don't know why people keep seeing "you can" and itnstantly think that it misses timing. --Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 08:03, December 23, 2011 (UTC)

Thats true, but Im still concerned whether my original example is doable. Because they are sent at the same time can mantis revive centipede and can centipede still search?

If the monster was destroyed by battle, then the equipped card wasn't send to grave while equipped.
So it will not activate.
And neither will the monster who was destroyed as the equiped monster(Giga) wasn't sent while equipped.

In Centipede's case, the Inzektor equipped to it must be sent to the Graveyard while Centipede is still face-up on the field for its effect to activate. In Giga-Mantis' case, I guess you can apply the same rulings as Dragunity Aklys.--PoirotH (talkcontribs) 13:33, December 23, 2011 (UTC)

What about in a case where you have dragonfly on the field equipped with a Giga-Mantis, and a Centipede on the field equipped with a Hornet, and you send Hornet to the grave to estroy Inzektr Giga-Mantis. My question is does Giga-Mantis miss the timing, does Centipede miss the timing, does Dragonfly miss the timing.

Hornet will destroy Giga-mantis. The effects of Dragonfly, Centipede, and Giga-Mantis will form a Chain as per SEGOC, in the order that the controller chooses (Tip: Make Centipede Chain Link 3).

If an inzektor equipped with Giga-mantis is flipped face-down (via Book of Moon for example), will Giga-mantis activate? Or is that treated similarly to if the equipped monster left the field by itself (was destroyed alone) in which case Giga-mantis can't activate? --Joejaboy (talkcontribs) 02:22, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

It's the same as the "Dragunity Aklys" stuff on the stickied FAQ. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:38, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
Like Falzar said, you have to read the line "while equipping to a monster"; that's also key word as "if" is major in the general. If the target Equipped Monster is dead before the equipping card triggering, then it won't work. --FredCat 02:46, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
Also, in TCG, you can see it saying, "except during Damage Step". Damage Step involves monsters destroyed by battle. Result: outside of Damage Step, and must still be alive after the Equip Card is gone. 24.83.215.20 (talk) 21:00, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
