  1. Walk out door
  2. Get on floor

This Deck brings out "Evolkaiser Lagia" and prevents Ryko and friends from getting rid of it for cheap. Guaiba gets Velo, or I can use either Evoldo to Summon Ulcanodon, who Summons Cerato for a +2. Velo has consistently out-floated "Reborn Tengu".

Offering is for Reptiles, which show up a lot because Westlo has 1900 DEF. Odochelys is the biggest dead draw, but Cerato is pointless in the hand without it (albeit a dead draw with 1900 ATK).

This Deck's performed well so far; when I'm winning, the opponent has two choices: Set chump blockers and give openings to Guaiba and Cerato+, or Summon and lose the monster to Lagia. When I'm losing, Guaiba and Westlo let me recover fast. The engine works, but I don't know what to do to minimize the dead draws. Any suggestions?

Take out Seven Tools, since it is really too slow this format, and add a Trap Dustshoot. This causes hand disruption and can let you predict your opponent's plays. It's just a really good card, especially if you open with it. I'd also say to take out Solemn Warning for the same reason as Tools, due to all the S/T destruction, etc. and replace it with Starlight Roads. As for the dead draw problem, go with either 2 Lance or 2 Chalice, and add a 3rd Fossil Dig. Then, there's always Pot of Duality... Looks pretty good overall, though.Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 02:49, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Removing "Solemn Warning" seems like a bad idea. It negates a wide range of common monsters and effects. What I do most often is start the game with 1 monster and a Set Warning. The opponent usually doesn't use Heavy Storm because it won't produce advantage. Lagia already blocks Dark Hole, so I'm not sure why I'd need Road without a bunch of Traps to Set.
There's not much reason for a 3rd "Fossil Dig"; the Evoldars are better in the Deck/Graveyard and Velo can search Guaiba can search Velo can search Aeolo.
Added Dustshoot. I might drop Odochelys.

I know you would think that about the Fossil Digs, but I've seen Scrap Hybrids with only 3 Scrap Tuners run 3 Scrapyard. Not saying that I would necessarily do that, but this deck has many targets for Dig, and a card that offers generic searching for a lot of key cards in any deck deserves to be maxed out. This also ensures you get a monster that you want in case of a bad hand. People WILL use Heavy if they suspect you have something that will ruin their opening play, which is normally a big thing to do. Most people don't mind that it doesn't generate advantage. That's like saying people won't play MST because it doesn't give advantage. >_> Solemn is simply an easy target for MST and bad if you open with it and don't go first, especially if your opponent is running 3 MST. I'd say replace it with Compulsory Evacuation Device. This can be chained to MST, free (doesn't cost LP's), and is a much better choice currently. The new format just has too much S/T destruction for Warning. Starlight Road is still good, becuase you don't really wanna waste your negation from Lagia on a Dark Hole. People are smart. They work around Lagia by playing things in a particular order. If they play Dark Hole first, they are forcing you to use up your negation. That said, Starlight Road also negates TT, BRD, Heavy Storm, and the now less common Mirror Force. I can understand if you DON'T use Road, but I think it could halp defend Lagia and save your negation for a summon or something really important. I'd hold onto Warning. Another Fossil Dig would be prudent-its incredible search power is nothing to scoff at. I suggest a Jurrac Dino or two-it gives you +s in advantage and is a great Tuner that can be toolboxed with Velo and Guiaba. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 16:36, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

I can't believe I forgot about Dino. :O I would also suggest adding him. Anyways, I do suppose that Warning is a personal choice/preference. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 00:25, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

I've tried it with and without Warning now. I've found CED really useful, possibly more than Warning. 'Cause it gets rid of Ryko and stuff, for one, and I already have effect negation to deal with "Black Rose Dragon" and suchlike.
"Jurrac Dino" is good on its own, but it doesn't serve much purpose in this Deck. I can toolbox it and Synchro for 7, but what would I bring out that's better than a Rank 4 Xyz? BRD, maybe, but I would only use it if I was losing, by eating an attack with Velo and Normal Summoning the next turn. Or I could use its +1 effect, but that's outclassed by Guaiba.
"Fossil Dig" doesn't achieve much. It can search anything, but Cerato and Ulcanodon are better in the Deck. Thinning the Deck is nice, but I need to keep targets for Guaiba and Velo, and Rai-Oh already stuns the engine until I get Westlo. Guaiba and Velo are the ones I try to search, and since I can use one to search the other, it seems like a better idea to run "Jurrac Aeolo" at 2 to help re-use Guaiba and Velo from the Graveyard.
Deck edited.

I can't understand why you wouldn't use it at three-it's amazing. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 20:32, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

What am I gonna search? 207.233.120.2 (talk) 21:57, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

Told you so! :P CED is amazing right now. I'm with BF2, you can search for your Jurracs. There arent't really any times it wouldn't be useful. In fact, it's cards like Fossil Dig that win topdecking wars. Dino can give you Jurrac Giganoto, an amazing beatstick. Once more, I'd say stick with Lance or Chalice, but I personally really like Lance. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 22:04, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

"Reinforcement of the Army" is overpowered because it can be "Smashing Ground", "Dimensional Prison", "Shield Crush" "Double Summon", "Limit Reverse", "Reinforce Truth", "Black Horn of Heaven", and on and on without loss of consistency.
Say I use Dig. I can search Guaiba or Velo. Either one can search the other. After they're in the Graveyard, I can revive either one with Aeolo. Assuming I'm not running Dino, a second Aeolo is more effective than a third Fossil Dig. And I don't need the Evoldars in my hand.
Well...I like "Forbidden Lance", but I need Chalice more to deal with Ryko and "Snowman Eater" and, more importantly, "Archlord Kristya".
Dino produces the same advantage as Guaiba, but at a less useful timing (End Phase). As for Giganoto, he props up Guaiba and gets strong fast, but if I'm winning I'd rather have 2 Lagia out than 1 Lagia and a 3600, and I'd rather have 3 Lagia out than 2 Lagia and a 3600, and if I'm losing BRD would probably be better. Negation...
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 22:28, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

Some people won't listen and learn. :P All search power is good stuff, and should be used as much as possible. RotA isn't that broken in all decks and was limited mostly because of TeleDAD. A 2nd Aeolo is NOT a sub mainly because it requires you to summon it. Just about nothing in your deck can run over Archlord Kristya with a boost from Chalice, making Giganoto and/or Lance a valid option. Ironic isn't it? Lance can reduce Kristya to 2000, making that much more manageable, as well as making your monsters immune to cards like CED for a turn. Do what you want though... Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 22:56, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

What do you mean about Aeolo being a "sub"? BF2 Talk Deck Guides 23:16, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

I agree with Synchro Maniac. It's better to have a searching card than the card you are searching for if it can search for other cards as well, at least in game one. Game two you can expect Rai-Oh, so it may be riskier. Forbidden Lance and Chalice are both very good, but Lance is more useful, especially when you're using Veiler. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 23:26, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

Forgot about the Dark Warriors. Oh, well. Chalice isn't meant for running over Krisya, it's just meant to disable its effect long enough for a Synchro or Xyz. I really like Lance, but I can't Special Summon if Kristya's out, and what can I Normal Summon with more than 1900 ATK?
Assuming I recruit a monster with "Fossil Dig", I still have to Summon it. If it gets Warned or Holed or what have you, it results in the same loss of advantage as losing Aeolo. One is stopped by Rai-Oh, one is stopped by Wanghu. I fear Rai-Oh more. That's why I prefer Aeolo. Is there something I'm missing? Something inherently good about search power? I guess it's good to have a way to get Velo or Guaiba depending on the situation, but they are in my Graveyard almost all the time. "Fossil Dig" thins the Deck, but on the downside, it thins the Deck of critical cantrips. At some point, Dig becomes a dead draw, only capable of producing a 1900 attacker with no effect or a 1700 attacker with no targets.
For now, this is for Dueling Network; there is no Game 2.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 23:38, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

A good card is good. Fossil Dig is wonderful. You run 3 not in the hopes that you'll get all 3, but you have a better chance of drawing one, that way you can get a card you need. What good does those Synchros do if they can't run over Kristya? You need Giganoto. Enough said. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 23:47, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

Catastor kills Kristya by effect, even if it's re-Summoned; the hard-to Summon Brionac bounces Kristya, after which Lagia or Roach can keep it out; Black Rose kills Kristya by effect; Scrap Dragon ties with and kills Kristya by effect; Trishula banishes Kristya. Running over Kristya isn't specifically necessary, nor would Giganoto be guaranteed to run over it unless I had 3 buried Jurracs. If Giganoto does anything well, it's killing Shi En.
Dig works. It just means different strategies than Aeolo. Guess I'll run it. Dropped an Ulcanodon.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 00:37, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

Trishula doesn't get Kristya from the field. In general, I wouldn't rely on Synchro Monsters to get rid of it, because they're probably dead already if they're ones that can stop Kristya (otherwise your opponent wouldn't summon it). BF2 Talk Deck Guides 14:58, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

The likelihood that any game would last until all 5 Synchros and "Vylon Disigma" are all dead is infinitesimal. Anyways, Kristya has a Continuous Effect that blocks Special Summons. The person who has it out expects you to try to kill it with "Dark Hole", "Honest", or similar cheap removal. You are not expected to be able to Special Summon at all. What I would generally do is to negate its effect with Chalice, then bring out Catastor/Scragon/Trishula and kill it.
What do you mean by "Trishula doesn't get Kristya from the field"?
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 17:35, September 28, 2011 (UTC)
I meant that Kristya blocks Special Summons. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 17:38, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

A couple of updates. First, the names are now up-to-date (Evol-czar!). Second, should I run "Evolzar Dolkka" over #17? It seems kind of situational, but then, so does #17.

Designless Square (talkcontribs) 18:55, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
Run 1 Dolkka, and personally I'd add at least one Dino and a Giganoto in for Disigma. Also, perhaps Jurrac Velphito? Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 12:12, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
I don't want to replace Disigma unless it's for Ruler of Color; I want at least one 3-part Rank 4 for ending games. As for Velphito, its ATK maxes out at 2100 in this Deck and I'd rather have Dolkka out instead.
Dino was discussed above. During my opponent's turn, I prefer having a Laggia out to having 1 Guaiba out and 2 extra cards in hand.
