Forum:Just ONE little change...

Have you ever gotten the feeling that a certain card would be useful if they changed it JUST a bit? I have. For instance:

Super-Nimble Mega Hamster: If ONLY it was also level 3!

Batteryman AAA: If it summoned the other AAA from the deck, this would be awesome!

I want to hear your tales of cards that are so agonizingly near perfect that it makes you want to pull out your own hair. Runer5h 20:55, February 22, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Well, "Batteryman AAA" might be more useful than first meets the eye if rulings state that it works for "Batteryman AA's" effect. DemonGodAsura 21:30, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, I forgot: Gemresis should search out Gemknight Fusion. Runer5h 21:31, February 22, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

If Ancient Fairy Dragon's effect that destroys field spells was writen so the destruction was a cost--Helix-king 22:35, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

I'll be back with more, I just can't think of them at the moment.--Akiza Izayoi 00:29, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

If all the Gradius cards had 300 more atk...

I wish that deck would work period...

F.M.L --TheDivineDuelist 04:41, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

  • The deck works very well. Bur a mild attack increase would be nice.--Helix-king 10:16, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

There are some things that I also think would make some cards more useful. Here goes:

  • Destiny Hero - Double Dude - If this card can be Special Summoned (except from the graveyard), these guys will be much more useful.
  • Battle Footballer or other Normal Monsters with 2100 DEF - By giving them 2300 or 2400 DEF, they will make Normal Monsters proud. Seriously, there are Effect Monsters with more DEF at a non-tribute level, and yet has no negative effects. Some are The Lady in Wight and Gear Golem the Moving Fortress, at 2200 DEF.
  • Gigantic Cephalotus - Because of Botanical Lion's better offensive and defensive potential, this card deserves a much better offensive niche to better compete with that feline. Therefore, this guy should get a 300 or 400 ATK boost per plant that is sent to the grave.
  • Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab - Probably the least useful Neo-Spacian due to its effect of being a situational nature, to make him better, he must be able to increase ATK based on also the amount of Spell/Traps you have, in exchange, this card increases by 300 ATK per Spell/Trap.

And for some fun, I would like to make a card's change for the worst, that is:

  • Yata-Garasu - Make it a Level 7 or above card, and it will be on par with two other Card Advantage spirits, Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi and Yamata Dragon (who would've been banned if they're at a lower level even with lowered ATK and DEF). For even more extra fun, that card's ATK and DEF remains the same.

  • If Ancient Gear Golem could be Special Summoned... No, wait! That would unbalance it!!
  • ...Okay, if Iron Chain Repairman could repair other copies of himself, it would be loads better for the Iron Chain archetype.
  • If Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle could send things back to hand instead of the top of the Deck, it would make him a little more useful.
  • If Jutte Knight could change Battle Positions, rather than just knocking monsters into Defense Position.

--Gadjiltron 11:38, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

  • If "Ookazi" had just 1 more small character added to its text; another 0 at the end of the amount of damage? -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:37, February 23, 2010 (UTC)
Haha, but seriously. That would be a bit broken. Runer5h 23:13, February 23, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Both Moja and Keymouse: if only they could add to your hand level 4 and lower Beast-Type monsters. It would certainly make them more useful, and I can actually use the latter in my main deck. Also, if only Minoan Centaur could search out level 4 Beast or Beast-Warrior Types; currently, the very limited number of Beast-Warrior Normal monsters severely restricts its usefulness. At the very least, it could make getting out Rabid Horseman out, easier. 66.228.109.2 00:35, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

Here are some that could use a little change:

  • Warrior Lady of the Wasteland - As it stands, Giant Rat does the same whatever she does, with the exception that the rodent has more summoning options. Therefore, she will be much more useful if, similar to Nova Summoner, she have the ability to summon the (EARTH Warrior) monster in defence position.
  • Cyber-Tech Alligator - Sure, it's a Normal Monster, and can be summoned easily in a variety of ways, but if the card's Attribute is WATER, you have another monster that is viable to be summoned by the effects of A Legendary Ocean, hopefully NOT outclassing a certain monster.
  • Elemental Hero Gaia - This is a fusion monster, but its effect is not as useful compared to the other Elemental Heroes with Attributes because of its temporary effect and quite low stats. The change that is important here is: make the ATK change permanent.
  • Discord - It's a recent card, and it's a good effort to discourage Synchro Monsters, but its effect is not so game-changing, compared to Non-Fusion Area, since Synchros can wreak havoc when the lock goes off. So to make this card better, instead of a turn limit, this card could've provide an optional Maintenance Cost instead, preferably between 200 LP to 500 LP a turn.

Here's a fun one, dimension explosion needing Removed from play cards for each player. If only one of you needed it I could think of so many fun combos.--Takuma. 16:44, March 3, 2010 (UTC)

Here's one: Jade Knight should be able to search while face-down. Runer5h 20:57, March 3, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h
Here's one: If Dread Dragon had only 1000 ATK, so you could discard it for Cards of Conosonance. Runer5h 03:22, April 6, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h
Oh, and another: I wish Metabo-Shark allowed you to draw a card. Sort of like Royal Firestorm Guards, but just one card would be OK. That would be fantastic for the Fishes. Runer5h 01:52, April 14, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h
    • Actually, it being a WIND Monster isn't that bad. You can SS it with REDMD while you control Koa'ki Meiru Drago, in your Disaster Dragon decks. Runer5h 16:14, April 14, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h
  • If you could use the effect of Cyber Dragon Zwei while it is in your hand. TwosidedDragon 02:02, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
    • You can, but you need to reveal it. I wish that you could reveal a spell card to make it count as Cyber Dragon no matter where it was. Zeroblizzard 23:46, April 28, 2010 (UTC)Zeroblizzard
  • If cactus bouncer could be special summoned. Just imagine it. Summoner monk, lonefire could bring out a special summon block.
    • Unbalanced as heck. That would make Plants tier 1, not problem.
  • If Armory Arm is also a Union Monster in addition to its Synchro status, similar to the Tuner Synchro monsters in the anime, where it can protect the monster from harm once and can function with Union support like Roll Out!. Would probably make it more useful.
  • Ah, but then you couldn't have more than one on a monster at a time.--Helix-king 11:28, May 7, 2010 (UTC)
  • If only Turbo Warrior doesn't just protect itself from being targeted, but be protected from the entire effect of the (Level 6 or below) monster, whether target or not target.
  • Nitro Synchron's effect is especially hard to take advantage of, since its effect only work on (so far) Nitro Warrior. To remedy this, make its effect work on any Synchro Monster in general, or better, make it stronger in ATK, DEF and Level. Only one change out of two, though, not both at the same time.

Well, those are my thoughts.115.134.7.241 14:42, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • If the Koa'ki Meiru cards did not have the Discard another Koaki Meiru effect, they would be a Top Deck for sure.115.134.115.107 03:39, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
    • I hear you. I would absolutely love for the Koa'ki Meirus to lose their discard/reveal cost.--Hide Head Turtle 07:21, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
      • Then they'd be cheap. The reason none of their cards have been touched by the limited/banned lists is because of their costs. Zeroblizzard 23:46, April 28, 2010 (UTC)Zeroblizzard
    • How about an "or" case, where it was either the graveyard or the deck? Zeroblizzard 23:46, April 28, 2010 (UTC)Zeroblizzard

Sounds counterintuitive, but I wish Scrap Chimera destroyed the monster that it summoned in the end phase. That would be useful. Runer5h 00:02, April 19, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

If only the required synchro material monsters for Archfiend Zombie-Skull was plaguespreader + 1 or more non-tuner zombie type monsters. He'd go from nearly impossible to synchro summon in a regular Zombie deck to being a really useful synchro in the gladiator match up. Flesk 11:05, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

  • Deep Diver - this may sound bizarre, but I wish it was level 2. Why? So it could be used in Frog decks, with Wetlands! Runer5h 22:51, April 28, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h
    • But that wouldn't change the fact that it's slow and otherwise useless. Frogs have never been competitive, and they won't start because of Deep Diver. Zeroblizzard 23:46, April 28, 2010 (UTC)Zeroblizzard

Elefun. Like Keymouse, if only it worked on Level 4 monsters, then I'd be able to use it in my decks. I don't get why so many of the Beast/Beast-Warrior support, now, seems to focus on level 3 and lower monsters. 66.228.109.2 23:32, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

If Weed Out destroyed Level 3 or lower monsters, it could cut a Junk Warrior down to size easily. SpaceGhidorah 00:14, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

Not to mention beat the crap out of tokens and most tuners. Here's some more...
  • Jurrac Herra: I wish the monster didn't have to go the graveyard to activate its effect - then I could use it on tokens summoned by Jurrac Stauriko.
  • Jurrac Titan: If it was only 1 tribute by tributing a Jurrac, it would be playable. Runer5h 22:41, May 6, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

i wish that heavy storm was a quick play spell. then u could activate it on ur opponents turn. it would be very interesting--Bwinggale 01:51, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Blackwing - Silverwind the Ascendant's summoning conditions should be less strict, say 1 Blackwing Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner monster. The way it is now causes people to summon it using Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor's effect.115.135.255.160 02:15, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier-if it had a "once per turn effect", then it wouldn't be where it is now on the lists.PoirotH 11:16, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • You can discard more cards at the same time, so that wouldn't make much difference.

The Horror'Speak if you dare 17:19, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Yes,it would. The reason why it is Limited was not because it could bounce multiple cards, but because it could be used multiple times in the same turn.PoirotH 17:25, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

How about Rare Metal Dragon being a normal monster?--Hide Head Turtle 11:39, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • If The Calculator was Machine Type, it'd be a very powerfull monster, since it would be affected by Limiter removal, searchable by Road Warrior, and have the support of Machina Gearframe, Machina Peacekeeper, Trigon and Heavy Mech Support Platform, it could also be tributed for the effect of Machine King 3000 BC.HouseholdCatDeity 04:05, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
Another one for Jurracs: I wish that Jurrac Aeolo could tribute any Jurrac monster for its effect, like Lonefire can. Runer5h 20:55, May 9, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h
