So I am making this straight - Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes's effect said to be unaffected by all effects is also not affected by the field - Venom Swamp as well? Earlier when I tried to stretch my knowledge with one deck that base on summoning Vennominaga onto the field faster as able, I always thought that Venom Swamp was affecting her as well... --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 15:19, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

It is unaffected by the effects of Venom Swamp.-- HHTurtle Talk   15:49, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Ah good, as earlier in my game when I had this deck, I always mistake to place poison counter on her though she's not that weakly. Easily advantage where her king cannot countered. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 15:58, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

That's right. It's even in her text that she is not affected by Venom Swamp, because she's not a true Venom monster. However, her card immunity would keep her from being poisoned by the swamp anyway NOT FrogtheJam (talkcontribs) 22:26, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

But why does the king being only 1 suffered the fate of that swamp and dead, while his tribe does not? --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 22:34, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

The king is also unaffected by Venom Swamp. It says so in his effect text. Skullvarnish (talkcontribs) 22:38, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Ah, didn't noticing that line of the text, I didn't realize that earlier. Thanks for clear it up for me. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 16:08, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Question

Will Equip-Spell Card like Molten Escape be able to equiped on Vennominaga? My friend said it cant since it effect say "...Monster effect/trap/magic card nothing to it.". I need the explanation, and I saw two names that are familiar for me and it will be so rude without say "hi" to HideHead Turtle and Fredcat100.ZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 01:30, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Lol, hi to you too. Nothing can be equipped to Vennominaga.-- HHTurtle Talk   05:44, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

yah lol you aswer it already on Angel 07's forum page thanks HideHead Turtle, may I guess that you also a vennominaga user?ZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 15:23, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Not really, I once tried to make a Reptile deck focusing on Vennominaga but the deck failed miserably. It had no synergy at all.-- HHTurtle Talk   15:27, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Worm Warlord, Sauropod Brachion and Yubel VS Vennominaga Deity of Vennomous Snake

I have another Question still about Vennominaga (many of my friends hates this cards because it effect so I got to have many knowledge about this card to argue with them) <<<1>>>Worm Warlord's effect said, "Negate the effects of Effect Monsters destroyed by battle with this card." If in a bad luck my Vennominaga only gain 2000 ATK because only 4 Reptile Type exist / remain (in this case removed from play by the effect of Power Pickaxe or Soul Release) on my graveyard. Will the revival effect of Vennominaga be negated after that? <<<2>>>Sauropod Brachion's effect said, "If your opponent attacks this card on Face Down Position, any Battle Damage they take is doubled". Once again lets make an example that my Vennominaga got 2500 ATK. Normaly if I attack Sauropod Brachion on face down position, I will get 500 points to inflicts my LP. The question is, will it doubled to me? Or Vennominaga already made Sauropod's effect useless? By this case so confusing me, because one trap card called Magic Sylinder works very well when my Vennominaga attack my opponent and my opponent activated that trap card. By the effect of Vennominaga, it wouldn't affected by any trap or magic card that toward to her, but in this case magic sylinder made me, as the opponent of that trap's user, suffer inflicted damage to my LP. I accept this term because it effect heading to me not to my Vennominaga. <<<3>>>Yubel's Effect said, "When this face-up Attack Position card is attacked by your opponent's monster, before damage calculation inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK." What will be happen to me as the controller of Vennominaga when I attacking Yubel? Will Yubel's effect become nothing or will it still work? What a questions, but I really need many explanation so please tell me, my early gratitude for the answer.ZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 15:55, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

1) Yes, it is the same with this ruling: "If this card is destroyed by battle with "Dark Ruler Ha Des", "Dark Ruler Ha Des'" effect negates this card's effect in the Graveyard, and it cannot be Special Summoned.". Just replace Dark Ruler Ha Des with Worm Warlord.

2) The effect of Sauropod Brachion affects the damage, not the monster. You would still take twice the damage. Actually, the effect of Magic Cylinder targets and affects the monster so its attack will not be negated and you would not receive any damage from it. Here a ruling to back this up: "If "Magic Cylinder" cannot negate the attack, then it does not inflict damage."

3) The effect of Yubel just inflicts damage, it doesn't affect the attacking monster.

My early "You are welcome" for your gratitude.-- HHTurtle Talk   16:06, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

  • Oh wow that shocked me, lucky me I'm the only one who had that worm warlord among my campus. About Sauropod that acceptable, but about Magic Cylinder I just know if that card just reflect the damage to the attacking monster, so you want to say that if my other monster attacking my opponent with that trap card set on my opponent's field zone it just will destroy my attacking monster than inflicting my attack to my LP? And about Yubel... my god I should do something so my opponent have no monster left on field to tribute for the sake of Yubel's life. I'll be waiting your explanation about Magic Cylinder. Thank you so muchZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 01:26, November 5, 2010 (UTC)
  • Oh now I get your Point about magic cylinder to my vennominaga, Magic Cylinder will never works since it cannot stop my Vennominaga, which immune to the trap, for attacking my opponent. Thank You :3 ZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 01:30, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Neospacian Ground Mole VS Vennominaga

I have another question, today I was on a battle with a hero deck user. My Vennominaga fought this monster called Neospacian Ground Mole, it effect when it battle it may return the attacking monster to the respective owner hand. My question is, will that effect negate my Vennominaga's attack? All I know that Neospacian Ground Mole may not be able to return my Vennominaga to my hand by it effect. Will the user still suffer the inflicted damage by the battle? Will Neospacian Ground Mole take no damage and return to the owner hand safely or Neospacian Ground Mole's effect negated and it destroyed? Early thanks for the answer.ZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 12:40, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

Since Vennominaga is unaffected by the effect of Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, the effect of Grand Mole will activate but since it cannot resolve properly, both monsters will not be returned to the hand and the battle will continue as normal.-- HHTurtle Talk   12:46, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" should resolve as much as possible, and just return itself to your hand. "Vennominaga" will stay on the field. It's basically the same as "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" vs "Ally of Justice Catastor". --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 20:40, November 6, 2010 (UTC)
  • Wow Deus Ex Machina!!! Welcome to the world chat of Vennominaga... lol, anyway... what can I do if both of expert like you two say so. But I wondering about the damage calculation, as Deus Ex Machina said, Grand Mole will return while Vennominaga will stay. Will my opponent suffer damage calculation? it was like my Vennominaga got 6,000 ATK while, I don't remember exactly, Grand Mole had ATK like 1,700, my opponent set that card on ATK position, and I attack that card, will he suffer damage calculation while his Mole back to his hand? Thank you for helping me so farZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 22:44, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

What does this have to do with the "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole vs Ally of Justice Catastor" case? In that case, the effects of the monsters can still resolve properly, Grand Mole still has the chance to bounce Catastor and Catastor still has the chance to destroy Grand Mole.

The effect of Grand Mole is "return both monsters to their owner's hands". Since when it battles with Vennominaga, there is no way that can resolve properly, Vennominaga will not be returned to the hand and neither does Grand Mole. How can you say that it will only bounce itself? Wouldn't that be called "resolving half the effect".-- HHTurtle Talk   02:27, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • So ummm... HideHead Turtle want to say that, since the effect of Grand Mole unaffected Vennominaga, Grand Mole will stay on the field and receive damage like other monsters?ZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 15:13, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
  • XD I can't believed now I feel strong after you say that, the weakest clan of 14 clan that exist on Yugi-oh card list become stronger now wohohoho (I hope you know what I mean is reptiles clan) Thank you for the answerZSlytherin (talkcontribs) 00:51, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Well.. Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes is the strongest possible card in terms of immunity, as the only way to destroy it is via battle-Resk (talkcontribs) 00:55, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Doesn't this card ruling agree with Deus Ex Machina's answer? If "Gundari" battles a Synchro Monster while "G.B. Hunter" is on the field, "Gundari" is returned to the hand and the Synchro Monster stays on the field.--Cardguy (talkcontribs) 03:52, February 4, 2012 (UTC)
