A Penalty Game (ばつゲーム, Batsu Gēmu), unnamed in the English dub, is a punishment in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, given to someone who loses or cheats in a Shadow Game. They are based on Penalty Games from the manga and feature much less prominently than they did in the manga.

The term "Penalty Game" is used by Yami Marik in the Japanese version.[1][2]

Millennium Item holders are capable of inflicting supernatural punishments as Penalty Games.
