For trivia pertaining to this monster's Number, see Forum:"Numbers" Xyz Monster Trivia. Any contributions regarding this type of trivia should be placed there, instead of this page.
- "Number" monsters often take the form of their owners and/or their original desires; this card represents the personality of Quattro.
- Lions are known to have a calm, majestic appearance while at rest, but can be ruthless and bloodthirsty when hunting; this reflcts how Quattro disguised himself as a well-mannered man who interacts with people with a noble and polite demeanor when not Dueling, but became sadistic and cold especially against anyone who stood in his way.
- This monster's effect and appearance are somewhat the opposite of those of "Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder" and "Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings": while most "Gimmick Puppet" monsters have a disturbing and grotesque appearance, this monster looks more righteous and benevolent.
- This card's alternate victory condition and how it was attempted against Shark in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime may be a reference to Quattro and Shark's first Duel, where Quattro won against Shark by alternate means by getting him disqualified.
- This monster has a "Number C" upgraded form: "Number C88: Gimmick Puppet Disaster Leo".
- This monster's appearance based on a lion sitting on a throne may allude to it being the "king" of the "Gimmick Puppet" monsters, just as the lion is said to be the "king of the jungle".
- In the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime, when this monster detached an Xyz Material, it absorbed it in the gem on its sword.
- This card is similar to "King Landia the Goldfang".
- Both are Rank 8 Xyz Monsters that require 3 Level 8 monsters as materials to be Xyz Summoned.
- Both are based on a lion and a king.
- This card is a Duel winner, while "Landia" is a Match winner.
