Monster appearances

  • In episode 117, this card is shown when Team Ragnarok take out their Aesir cards. Halldor notes that even though a shockwave changed history, nobody besides themselves were affected and that was possibly because the three Aesirs were protecting them.
  • In episode 123, this card appears in a flashback Halldor has when he explains to Team 5D's how he, Dragan, and Broder found the three Aesirs, how they got the Rune Eyes and how they formed themselves into a team. Halldor found this card using "Odin, Father of the Aesir", but Broder stole it and tried to get away with it. He was pursued by Dragan, Halldor and Sebastian, but eventually Broder hit a boulder and crashed, however Broder's Rune Eye saved him from being killed. Broder was about to give this card back, but Halldor and Dragan showed their Aesir cards to him. Halldor states that he was chosen to be this card's wielder. He then convinced Broder to join him and Dragan, so they can stop the upcoming threat. All three would hold their new signature cards up and vow to defeat any evil force that would come in the future.
  • In episode 126, Broder used this card in his Turbo Duel against Crow Hogan. He Synchro Summons this monster by tuning Malus Token and "Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar" with "Svartalf of the Nordic Alfar". This card then attacks "Black-Winged Dragon"(whose ATK is 2100 due to it having a Black Feather Counter on it), but Crow activates "Black Sonic" to banish all Attack Position monsters Broder controls, however Broder activates this card's effect to negate the effect of "Black Sonic" and destroy it. The attack continues, destroying "Black-Winged Dragon". "Thor, Lord of the Aesir" then attacks and destroys "Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North". In the next episode, Broder uses the effect of "Speed World 2" to remove 10 Speed Counters and destroy one of Crow's set cards("Black Wing"). This card then attacks Crow directly, but Crow activates "Black Wing" to banish a Blackwing from his Graveyard and negate the attack, however Broder activates this card's effect to negate "Black Wing" and destroy it. Crow then banishes "Blackwing - Calima the Haze" to activate its effect, Special Summoning "Black-Winged Dragon" from the Graveyard. A replay occurs and Broder uses this card to attack "Black-Winged Dragon", but Crow banishes the two "Black Wing" in his Graveyard to activate the second effect of "Black Wing", destroying this card and inflicting damage to Broder equal to its ATK(Crow reveals that he wanted Broder to destroy his set cards which meant that Broder tricked himself by letting his deducing over what would usually happen get the better of him). Due to the rulings of the WRGP, it immediately goes to Broder's End Phase. Broder then activates this card's last effect, reviving itself. At the same time, "Black-Winged Dragon" is banished. Broder then activates "Dromi the Sacred Shackles" to inflict damage to Crow equal to the ATK difference between this card and "Black-Winged Dragon". As a result of this, Crow and Broder's Duel ends in a Draw. Crow and Broder then pass the baton to Yusei and Halldor respectively who proceed in Dueling against each other. In the next episode, Halldor activates the effect of "Odin, Father of the Aesir" to make the Aesirs immune to the effects of Spells and Traps for this turn, thus making them immune to the effects of "Monster Chain". This card then attacks and destroys a Compass Token. "Thor, Lord of the Aesir" then attacks and destroys the other Compass Token. "Odin" then attacks and destroys "Cosmic Compass". Later Halldor activates the effect of "Odin" to make the Aesirs unaffected by Spells and Traps for one turn, thus making the Aesirs immune to the effects of "Monster Chain". Yusei, in response, Tributes "Majestic Star Dragon" to activate its effect, negating the effect of "Odin" and destroying all cards Halldor controls. On the End Phase, Halldor activates the last effects of the Aesirs to revive them, but Yusei activates "Wave Rebound" to negate the summons and inflict damage to Halldor equal to the ATK of the Aesirs, however Halldor activates the effect of "Gjallarhorn" from his Graveyard, returning it from his Graveyard to his Spell and Trap Card Zone and activating it. Due to the effect of "Gjallarhorn", the Special Summoning effects of the Aesirs can't be negated this turn, so "Wave Rebound" is wasted. In the next episode, Halldor explains to Yusei that this card's last effect will activate after three turns. When this effect activates, this card and all monsters Halldor controls will be banished and Yusei will take damage equal to the combined ATK of those monsters which will deplete the remainder of Yusei's Life Points. With the Aesirs now revived, their secondary last effects activate. "Thor" inflicts 800 damage to Yusei, this card allows Halldor to add "Odin's Eye" from his Graveyard to his hand, and "Odin, Father of the Aesir" allows Halldor to draw one card. Yusei is then forced to remove the last Chain Counter on "Monster Chain". Since "Monster Chain" has no more Chain Counters, it is destroyed. On Halldor's next turn, he activates the effect of "Speed World 2" to remove 10 Speed Counters and destroy "Stardust Phantom". Yusei then activates the effect of "Stardust Phantom" to Special Summon "Stardust Dragon" from the Graveyard in Defense Position. "Thor" then attacks "Stardust Dragon", but Yusei banishes "Stardust Phantom" to grant "Stardust Dragon" the ability to avoid being destroyed in battle by giving up 800 of its ATK and DEF. Yusei then uses the new effect "Stardust Dragon" got to decrease its ATK and DEF by 800 and prevent it from being destroyed by "Thor". This card then attacks "Stardust Dragon", but Yusei uses "Stardust Dragon's" new effect to decrease its ATK and DEF by 800 and prevent this card from destroying "Stardust Dragon". "Odin" then attacks "Stardust Dragon", but Yusei sends "Stronghold Guardian" from his hand to the Graveyard to activate its effect, increasing the DEF of "Stardust Dragon" by 1500 until the End Phase. Yusei then uses "Stardust Dragon's" new effect to decrease its ATK and DEF by 800 and prevent "Odin" from destroying "Stardust Dragon". Yusei later Accel Synchro Summons "Shooting Star Dragon". He then activates "Speed Spell - Star Force" to banish "Fenrir the Nordic Wolf"(who Halldor Special Summoned onto Yusei's side of the field via its own effect) and increase the ATK of "Shooting Star Dragon" by the Level of "Fenrir" times 100 until the End Phase. Since "Fenrir" is Level 10, "Shooting Star Dragon" gains 1000 ATK. Yusei then activates the effect of "Shooting Star Dragon" to look at the top five cards of his Deck and allow his "Shooting Star Dragon" one attack for each Tuner Monster he finds. He finds three, so "Shooting Star Dragon" gains three attacks. "Shooting Star Dragon" then attacks and destroys the three Aesirs. On the End Phase, the ATK of "Shooting Star Dragon" goes back to normal. At the same time, the Aesirs revive themselves via their own effects. The secondary last effects of the Aesirs then activate. "Thor" inflicts 800 damage to Yusei, This card allows Halldor to add "Gleipnir, the Fetters of Fenrir" from his Graveyard to his hand, and "Odin" allows Halldor to draw one card. Halldor then summons "Tyr of the Nordic Champions". He then activates "Odin's Eye". Halldor then Tributes "Tyr" to prevent the Aesirs from having their effects be negated by his card effects this turn. He then uses the effect of "Odin's Eye" to look at one of Yusei's set cards, but Yusei activates "Trick Mirror" which activates the effect of "Odin's Eye" as its effect and stops "Odin's Eye" from being activated(and because this was changing an effect instead of negating it, "Odin's Eye" does not stop "Trick Mirror" from being activated), which means the Aesirs have their effects negated and Halldor must show all cards he currently has in his hand to Yusei. "Odin" attacks "Shooting Star Dragon", but Yusei uses the effect of "Shooting Star Dragon" to banish it until the End Phase and negate the attack. Halldor attempts to attack with "Thor" or this card, but Yusei activates "Zero Force" to reduce the ATK of the Aesirs to 0. Halldor realizes that means his monsters can no longer attack. On the End Phase, the last effect of "Gjallarhorn" activates, banishing it and the three Aesirs from the field and inflicting the combined ATK of the Aesirs as damage to Yusei, but since their combined ATK was 0, Yusei takes no damage which means that Halldor's last plan backfired on him(much to his shock and Dragan's anger). Since the Aesirs were banished, Halldor could no longer revive them through their own effects.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Broder's backstory when he explains to Crow that he was once a treasure hunter before he found a bunch of kids that were left for dead due to a war caused by Yliaster. He wished to find a way to help the kids and Yliaster, so he became their caretaker. After he was given the Rune Eye by "Loki" after meeting Halldor and Dragan, the three of them became Team Ragnarok.
    • In the third above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Halldor's backstory when he explains to Yusei that he has been waiting for this battle.
  • In episode 138, Broder used this card as part of Team Ragnarok's plan on using the three Aesirs, "Rainbow Bridge Bifrost", the old Ener-D reactor, and Team Ragnarok's Duel Runners to create a bridge for Yusei to use in order to get to the Divine Temple. The plan succeeds and Yusei and his allies use the bridge to get to the Divine Temple. Eventually Team Tagnarok's Duel Runners explode which causes the bridge to dissipate away, however Team 5D's and Vizor are able to make it to the Divine Temple before the bridge disappears.
