OCG Rulings

• The effect "Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster on the field that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck; change it to face-down Defense Position." is a Quick Effect. (Detaching 1 Xyz Material from this card is a cost to activate this effect. It cannot be activated during the Damage Step.)

• This effect targets 1 face-up monster in the Monster Zone that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. (It can target 1 monster in your Monster Zone or your opponent's Monster Zone.)

• If "Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon" is changed to face-down Defense Position using its own effect, it is no longer treated as a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Therefore, if "Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon" is flipped face-up afterwards, you cannot target "Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon" when you activate its effect.

• The effect "If this face-up card you control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon this card in face-down Defense Position." is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target. It can be activated during the Damage Step.)

• When "Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon" is returned to your Extra Deck by the effect of your opponent's "Compulsory Evacuation Device", you cannot activate the effect "Special Summon this card in face-down Defense Position.".

• The effect "If this card is flipped face-up: Send 1 card on the field to the Graveyard." is a Trigger Effect that is always activated when "Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon" is flipped face-up. (It does not target. It is also activated during the Damage Step.)

• When "Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon" is flipped face-up, its effect is activated even if there are no other cards on the field. In that case, you must send "Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon" to the Graveyard.
