* This card can be searched by "Ancient Chant", "The True Sun God", "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode", "The True Name", "Mound of the Bound Creator", "Thunderspeed Summon", and other generic searchers.

* This card can be searched by "Mound of the Bound Creator".
+
* This card can easily be Summoned in a "Numeron Gate" deck. Use "Numeron Calling" to Special Summon at least three "Numeron Gate" monsters which can then be used to Tribute Summon this card.
* Probably the easiest way to summon Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, or The Winged Dragon of Ra in one turn is to combo Amarylease and The First Monarch.
+
* In a "Horus" deck, use "King's Sarcophagus" to Special Summon at least three of the "Horus" monsters from the GY which can then be used to Tribute Summon this card.
** Set The First Monarch in your spell/trap zone. (The First Monarch is a Trap Monster). Activate it ASAP, then immediately discard Amarylease from your hand for the effect of The First Monarch, declaring DIVINE so that The First Monarch's attribute changes to DIVINE. Now The First Monarch counts as two tributes for the tribute summon of a DIVINE attribute monster (any one of the three Egyptian Gods).
+
** If used in conjunction with "Ancient Chant", this can allow this card to gain an incredibly high ATK.
 +
** If all four "Horus" monsters are Summoned, the remaining monster not used as Tribute for this card can be used as fodder for this card's effect.
 +
* Use "Soul Crossing" to Summon this card using three of your opponent's monsters.
 +
* A "Gadget" deck may serve as a useful engine for swarming the Field through cards such as "Gold Gadget", "Silver Gadget", "Infinitrack Anchor Drill" and "Tin Goldfish" to then be used as Tribute for this card in conjunction with "Ancient Chant."
 +
* You can use "Phantom of Chaos" to banish "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode" from your Graveyard, then activate its effect as the effect of "Phantom of Chaos", and immediately Summon "Ra" a second time, if you already tributed "Sphere Mode".
 +
** "Phantom of Chaos" can also copy the effects of "Immortal Phoenix" this way, clear out your opponent's field before Summoning a copy of "Sphere Mode" during the End Phase, ignoring its Summoning Conditions.
 +
* Use monsters such as "Marshmallon", "Spirit Reaper", and "Aroma Jar" that cannot be destroyed by battle, which will ensure you will have plenty of monsters to tribute for "Ra" if they are not destroyed by card effects.
 +
** You can also use "Aroma Jar" in combination with "Poison of the Old Man", "Nimble Momonga", and "Spell Absorption" to quickly gain a lot of life points in preparation for summoning "Ra" with at least 20,000 ATK. These cards can also be used to regain LP paid for the cost paid when you Tribute Summon "Ra" within a few turns. At least one copy of "Aroma Jar" should be left on the field in case Ra is destroyed. - Also combine with "Aroma Garden" to further increase LP.

* Summon this card using "Hardened Armed Dragon" to protect it from destruction by card effects.
+
* Use "Mound of the Bound Creator" and/or "March of the Monarchs" can make "Ra" immune to card effects that target or destroy. Use "Field Barrier", "Card Guard", or "Magic Reflector" to protect them from being easily destroyed.

* This card can be useful with "Self-Destruct Button".
+
* Use "Soul Exchange" or "The Monarchs Stormforth" to Tribute Summon this card by using one of your opponent's monsters.
 +
** You can use "Escalation of the Monarchs" or "Ultimate Offering" (Traditional Format only) with "The Monarchs Stormforth" to Tribute Summon "Ra" during your opponent's turn.

* Use Life Point gaining cards or "Life Equalizer" to gain access to this card's monster destroying effect.
+
* You can "The First Monarch" to Tribute Summon this card with one less tribute by declaring DIVINE as its type. However, this can be tricky if you do not already have 3 or more monsters to tribute, though as declaring DIVINE to change its Attribute would prevent yourself from Special Summoning any monster whose Attribute does not match, like the commonly used Tribute fodders "Level Eater" and "The Tricky".
:* Use "Rain of Mercy" before activating that trap. Be careful to decide whether you want to activate this card before or after summoning "Ra". Activating it before would give Ra and extra 1000 ATK, but on the other hand activating it after summoning would allow you to use "Ra"'s destruction effect once more. Either way your opponent would have 1000 more life points while you are left with 100 total, thereby increasing your chances of meeting "Life Equalizer"'s requirements.

* If you control two Flint Locks, Flint, and Morale Boost, then you can continuously equip Flint, switching between the two Flint Locks, while Morale Boost gives you 1000 Life Points each time you do so. This can be repeated infinitely, effectively giving you access to an astronomically high number of Life Points. Adding Spell Absorption to this cycle will add an extra 500 points for each time you do this, boosting your life points even higher. By using Inferno Reckless Summon to gt 3 Flint Lock monsters on and doing the loop, you can then tribute them to Summon Ra after gaining enough lps for an OTK.
+
* "Evil HERO Infernal Prodigy", "Dynatherium", "Gilasaurus", "Turbo Booster", "Treeborn Frog", "Trap Monsters" and "Jester Confit" are excellent monsters to use for this card's Summon. If there is a prefer to maintain advantage, use cards like "Majiosheldon" in a Tribute Summon Deck.

+
* Summon this card using "Hardened Armed Dragon" to protect it from destruction by card effects.
* The legal "Ra" cannot be Special Summoned, but you can use "Monster Reincarnation", "A Feather of the Phoenix", "Herald of Creation", "Pot of Avarice", "Localized Tornado" or other such cards to return it to your hand or deck if it gets Discarded or Destroyed.

** You can quickly send this card to the Graveyard with Foolish Burial and retrieve it later.

* You can use "Trap Monsters" protected with "Imperial Custom" to gain tributes for this card.

* Use "Destruct Potion" or "Mystik Wok" to regain the Life Points used for attack when this card may be destroyed or a card effect may reduce your Life Points to 0.

* "Dark Worlds", "X-Sabers", "Lightsworns", "The Six Samurai", Psychics, and "Blackwings" can work well with this card as they can swarm the Field and be used for tributes.

* "Evil Hero Infernal Prodigy", "Gilasaurus", "Turbo Booster", "Treeborn Frog" and "Jester Confit" are excellent monsters to use for this card's summon.

* "Supremacy Berry" can be very useful after summoning this card as it often gives you the power to kill 2 monsters and maybe Direct attack for massive damage.

* "Draining Shield" allows you to build up Life Points for either of this card's effects.

* "Enchanted Javelin" lets you gain back Life Points you paid for its second effect almost immediately after you summon.

* You can use "Nightmare Archfiends" with "Owner's Seal" Special Summon 3 monsters to Tribute for this card, which can also work for "Obelisk the Tormentor" and "Slifer The Sky Dragon".

* 2 copies of "Life Absorbing Machine" can give you back the Life Points you paid for the effects of "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

** Using 3 copies will increase your Life Points even more.

* Instead of activating this card's effect to gain ATK, equip it with "Heart of Clear Water" to protect it as you use its monster destruction effect.

** Using "Spirit Barrier", you can avoid taking damage from your opponent's monsters.

* Have "Dark Bribe" on the field to protect this card from effects that can destroy it.

* Use "Ancient Fairy Dragon" to gain Life Points to use for this card's destruction effect, or even Special Summon monsters to help Tribute Summon it.

* If both you and your opponent have around the same amount of Life Points before you activate "The Winged Dragon of Ra's" ATK and DEF increasing effect, activate another card effect that increases the ATK of "Ra" and attempt to attack for game.

* With "Healing Wave Generator" on the field with this card you can generate just enough life points to use this card's destruction effect.

* In a Psychic Deck you can use "Telekinetic Power Well" in order to summon three level 2 or lower Psychic-type monsters to fulfill this monsters summoning requirements.

* "Dian Keto the Cure Master" gives you enough Life Points for this card's destruction effect.

* Use "DNA Surgery" to transform this card into a Psychic monster, then equip this card with "Telekinetic Charging Cell", allowing you to use its second effect for free.

** After destroying your opponent's monsters, you can activate "Giant Trunade" or "Full House" to eliminate their Spells and Traps as well, allowing you to deal a ridiculous amount of damage without fear.

** You can also use "Brain Research Lab", but comes with the risk of dealing damage when destroyed.

* Use "Prime Material Dragon" to both prevent your opponent from using Burn to finish you off after you use this card's effect, and to protect it from card effects.

* Use "Soul Absorption" with "Banisher of the Radiance", "Banisher of the Light" or "Macro Cosmos" to gain Life Points whenever a card is sent to the Graveyard. Be careful, though; if your opponent manages to destroy this card, it will be removed from play.

* Use "Soul Exchange" to sacrifice your opponent's most powerful monster to help clear the field (at the same time you will only have to sacrifice 2 of your monsters). This can also be helpful to get rid of Stardust Dragon and other similar cards, which can easily get in the way of this card's second effect.
+
* Provided an Xyz Monster can be placed fast on the field, "Corrupted Keys" can generate instant Tribute fodder for this card.

* Use "Power Frame" to make this card have the same ATK as a monster your opponent controls without the need to decrease your life points to be able to have enough ATK to stay alive and destroy monsters on the field.
+
* Combine "Nightmare Archfiends" with "Owner's Seal" to Special Summon 3 monsters to Tribute Summon this card.

* Use Stall cards like "Swords of Revealing Light", to buy you some time to summon this card. You can search for this card with "Gold Sarcophagus" or "Different Dimension Capsule" before using "Swords of Revealing Light" therefore you will not need to worry about attacks from the opponent's monsters while you gather Tributes for this card. This also works for "Obelisk the Tormentor" and "Slifer the Sky Dragon".
+
* In a Psychic Deck, "Telekinetic Power Well" can be used in order to Summon 3 Level 2 or lower Psychic-Type monsters to fulfill this card's Summoning requirements.

* This card works really well with "Number C39: Utopia Ray" and "Number C32: Shark Drake Veiss", since the effect of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" gets your Life Points low enough to use the effect of "Utopia Ray" or "Shark Drake Veiss" for more damage.
+
* Use "Sebek's Blessing" to restore the LP paid to increase this card's ATK.

*To regain life point's place "Sebek's Blessing" before summoning "The Winged Dragon of Ra". When "The Winged Dragon of Ra" is summoned reduce your Life Points to increase the ATK to max. Then attack directly with Ra and after the attack activate "Sebek's Blessing". This will restore the Life Points you offered.
+
* Use "Power Frame" to make this card have the same ATK as a monster your opponent controls without the need to decrease your LP to be able to have enough ATK to stay alive and destroy monsters on the field.
Traditional Format
* Summon this card and activate its first effect, then activate "Last Turn" for an almost guaranteed win.

* Use this card's second effect to clear your opponent's field of monsters, then use "Metamorphosis" to turn it into a "Cyber End Dragon" for a quick direct attack -- or even an OTK if you have a "Limiter Removal".
+
* This card works well with "Number C39: Utopia Ray" and "Number C32: Shark Drake Veiss", since the effect of this card gets your LP low enough to use the effect of "Utopia Ray" or "Shark Drake Veiss" for more damage.

* Be extremely careful if your opponent has cards such as Creature Swap, especially if you've reduced your Life Points to increase this card's ATK.
+
* If two "Flint Locks", "Flint" and "Morale Boost" are under your control, then  "Flint" can continuously be equipped, switching between the two "Flint Locks", while "Morale Boost" gives yourself 1000 LP each time it was used. This can be repeated infinitely, effectively giving yourself access to an astronomically high LP. By using "Inferno Reckless Summon" to get 3 "Flint Locks" on and doing the loop, they can then be Tributed to Summon this card after gaining enough LPs for an OTK.
* "Rainbow Life" is alo an excellent option for this card .

* Cards like "Megamorph" and "Unstable Evolution" can also works very well with this card
+
* If you run a swarm deck, it is best to have this card in your side deck in case your opponent has "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode", so you can use its effect to benefit you before it can be returned to its owner.

  • This card can easily be Summoned in a "Numeron Gate" deck. Use "Numeron Calling" to Special Summon at least three "Numeron Gate" monsters which can then be used to Tribute Summon this card.
  • In a "Horus" deck, use "King's Sarcophagus" to Special Summon at least three of the "Horus" monsters from the GY which can then be used to Tribute Summon this card.
    • If used in conjunction with "Ancient Chant", this can allow this card to gain an incredibly high ATK.
    • If all four "Horus" monsters are Summoned, the remaining monster not used as Tribute for this card can be used as fodder for this card's effect.

At least one copy of "Aroma Jar" should be left on the field in case Ra is destroyed. - Also combine with "Aroma Garden" to further increase LP.
  • You can "The First Monarch" to Tribute Summon this card with one less tribute by declaring DIVINE as its type. However, this can be tricky if you do not already have 3 or more monsters to tribute, though as declaring DIVINE to change its Attribute would prevent yourself from Special Summoning any monster whose Attribute does not match, like the commonly used Tribute fodders "Level Eater" and "The Tricky".
  • In a Psychic Deck, "Telekinetic Power Well" can be used in order to Summon 3 Level 2 or lower Psychic-Type monsters to fulfill this card's Summoning requirements.
