Chair Decks focus on utilizing effects that support monsters with 0 ATK (especially DARK monsters). Despite their natural ATK, Chair Decks tend to give emphasis on raising the ATK of their monsters to absurd heights, with both their offensive aces "Dahut" and "Dahut Abyss" being able to reach particularly nasty amounts with proper setup. To facilitate the Summoning of the normally 2-Tribute monsters, "Throne of Darkness" or "Darkness Ri-chair-al" can be used to Special Summon them instead. Since the theme's monsters are extremely vulnerable during the opponent's turn, Traps such as "Sword & Shield" or "Hermit's Soul" are recommended to defend on that turn/stall for setup or, if push comes to shove, "Collapsing Chairs" can be used as sort of a "panic button" to reset the field and start rebuilding advantage.
 +
Outside of the theme, other cards that support 0 ATK monster strategies can be used to complement the Deck. Examples being "Tama the Mancer Cat" and "Semeruler the Dark Summoner". Due to the Deck's frequent usage of 0 ATK monsters and thus frequent reliance on "Sword & Shield", the Legend Card "Shield & Sword" is extremely recommended.

Chair (チェア Chea) is a series of DARK monsters with 0 ATK, debuting in Maximum Ultra Enhancement Pack. It is used by Seatbastian and his manga counterpart in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS and Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS Luke! Explosive Supremacy Legend!!, respectively. The series includes the Scarechair subseries, known as Dwellchair (ドウェルチェア Doweruchea) in Japanese, making up all of its low-Level monsters.

Members

Conceptually, the monsters may be a reference to the Edogawa Ranpo story The Human Chair. The low-Level Scarechairs are chairs made from different materials, each referenced in their individual names (except for "Scarechair Relaxer", which simply state its chair type). The high-Level members evoke the legendary city of Ys (as well as being a homonym pun of the words "Isu" (JP: Chair) and "Ys", which both share the same Japanese pronunciation), except for "Throne of Darkness" and the Trap "Gate to the Throne", which both reference the fantasy epic A Song of Ice and Fire.
