This card can be easily Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by the effect of any Main Deck "Tri-Brigade" monster (except "Tri-Brigade Mercourier").

This card can be easily Link Summoned by using the effect of "Ancient Warriors - Masterful Sun Mou" to send another card from the player's hand/field to the Graveyard, in order to add "Ancient Warriors - Ingenious Zhuge Kong" or Rebellious Lu Feng from the Deck to the hand, which can then be immediately Special Summoned.

When adding a card from the Deck to the hand via this card's effect:
- "Ancient Warriors - Ingenious Zhuge Kong" or "Rebellious Lu Feng" can be added, in order to immediately Special Summon that monster.
  - "Ancient Warriors - Valiant Zhang De" can potentially be added and subsequently Special Summoned, but only if the player controls another "Ancient Warriors" monster (for a minimum total of 2 monsters).
  - "Ancient Warriors - Fearsome Zhang Yuan" can be added instead, in order to protect an appropriate "Ancient Warriors" monster when it battles an opponent's monster.
- Any "Ancient Warriors" Spell/Trap can be added, to use immediately and/or use as a cost for this card's returning-effect (with the latter enabling that Spell/Trap's Graveyard effect to be used afterward).
