- This card has great synergy in a "Moja" Deck. It can search out "Moja" to allow a quick Summon of "King of the Beasts", and since this card is Level 4, it can be recycled with the effect of "Moja". This also allows the use of "X-Saber Airbellum" for Synchro Summoning opportunities.
- Rank 3 or lower Xyz Monsters can easily be Summoned using the effect of "Rescue Cat".
Pre-Errata (Traditional Format)
- This card can be searched by "Last Will".
- Use with "Last Will" after activating the effect of "Sky Scourge Norleras". Since your opponent will have lost all of their cards, due to "Norleras", powerful monsters could be Special Summoned to attack your opponent directly.
- The strongest monsters that "Rescue Cat" can Summon have 1600 ATK, and are "Des Wombat", "X-Saber Airbellum", "Gladiator Beast Samnite" and "Infernity Beast".
- Use "Rescue Cat" to Summon "Uniflora, Mystical Beast of the Forest" and any other monster from your Deck. "Uniflora" can then be Tributed to Special Summon "Rescue Cat" from the Graveyard and use its effect again. This process can be repeated using 3 copies of "Uniflora" to let the effect of "Rescue Cat" be used four times in a row and leave yourself with 5 monsters on the field, allowing yourself to set up very easily set up Synchro/Xyz Summons.
- Level changing effects such as "Galaxy Queen's Light" can let multiple high Rank Xyz Monsters be Summoned at once.
- This card can be used as an engine for a "Gladiator Beast" Deck to Special Summon 2 "Test Tiger" from the Deck, which can then be used to cycle more "Gladiator Beast" monsters. Alternatively "Rescue Cat" could be used to Special Summon two "Gladiator Beast Samnites".
- This card is useful in activating the effect of "Gladiator Beast Samnite". Use "Rescue Cat" to Special Summon 2 "Samnites", attack with them, then use the effect of "Test Tiger" to re-Summon "Samnite", battle with it again, and a "Gladiator Beast" will be added to your hand and shall also Special Summon another "Gladiator Beast" at the end of the Battle Phase, improving your field advantage.
- This card can be used to Summon "Gladiator Beast Heraklinos" on the first turn. Summon this card, then Tribute it to Special Summon "Test Tiger" and "Gladiator Beast Samnite" from the Deck. Activate the effect of "Test Tiger", returning "Samnite" to the Deck to Special Summon "Gladiator Beast Secutor". Attack a Defense Position monster with "Secutor" or attack directly, then use its effect to Special Summon "Gladiator Beast Laquari" and another "Gladiator Beast" monster from the Deck. Then, return all three monsters to the Deck to Special Summon "Heraklinos".

- It could also be used to Special Summon 2 "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cats" and attack directly with them for 1200 damage. They will be destroyed at the End Phase, so place them on a Spell & Trap Zone to fuel the "Crystal Beast" monsters support cards like "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins".
- Other useful cards that can be Special Summoned via the effect of "Rescue Cat":
- Use this card's effect to Special Summon 2 Beast-Type monsters (1 of them must be a Normal Monster), then activate "Symbols of Duty" to Tribute the Normal Monster to Special Summon this card from Graveyard in order to use it's effect again.
- The above combo can also be done with "Spiritual Earth Art - Kurogane".
- The monsters Summoned by the effect of "Rescue Cat" can be Tributed for the effect of "Mass Driver", "Catapult Turtle", etc. as they would be destroyed by the effect of "Rescue Cat" during the End Phase anyway.
- The effect of "Rescue Cat" can be used to Special Summon 2 "Wind-Up Dogs" from the Deck, use their effects, and use them to Xyz Summon a Rank 5 Xyz Monster, such as "Tiras, Keeper of Genesis" or "Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon".
- This card can make a really powerful field in "Madolche":
- Send "Rescue Cat" to get "Madolche Mewfeuille" and "Madolche Hootcake".
- Banish "Rescue Cat" with "Hootcake" to get "Madolche Messengelato" and add "Madolche Ticket" with the effect of "Messengelato"
- Xyz Summon "M-X-Saber Invoker" using "Hootcake" and "Mewfeuille" and Special Summon a second "Messengelato" with "Invoker"
- Xyz Summon "Madolche Queen Tiaramisu" with your 2 "Messengelatos" and spin 2 cards with the effect of "Tiaramisu". "Ticket" can bring out another "Madolche" monster such as "Madolche Puddingcess" and there will still be 4 cards in your hand (or 5 if there is a second).
