  • This card can be Synchro Summoned using "Quickdraw Synchron" and any Level 1 non-Tuner monster. The ideal Material would be "Tuningware" or "Darksea Rescue" as their effects allow the player to draw a card, or "Boost Warrior", which would allow yourself to Synchro Summon without using up a Normal Summon.
    • This card can also be Special Summoned by Summoning "Quickdraw" by its effect while "Level Eater" in the Graveyard and there is another monster of Level 5 or higher on the field. Shave a Level off the monster for "Level Eater", then tune the bug with "Quickdraw" for this card.
      • This can be done rapidly by discarding "Level Eater" for the effect of "Quickdraw".
  • Another way to Summon this card is to Normal Summon "Junk Synchron", revive a Level 1 monster, Special Summon "Doppelwarrior" with its effect, and then Synchro Summon this card. The effect of "Junk Gardna" can protect the Tokens left by "Doppelwarrior". Assuming "Junk Gardna" is in Defense Position and the Tokens are Summoned in Attack Position, Set a "Card of Sacrifice" to get a 2-card draw.
    • Revive "Doppelwarrior" and Special Summon "Boost Warrior", or revive "Boost Warrior", and then Special Summon "Doppelwarrior", for the same net effect.
  • Synchro Summon this card by Normal Summoning "Marauding Captain" and using its effect to Special Summon "Junk Synchron", or by Special Summoning "Junk Forward" and Normal Summoning "Junk Synchron".
  • "Weapon Change" is an ideal card to use as it increases the ATK of "Junk Gardna" to 2600.
    • If "Weapon Change" gets destroyed during a battle that "Junk Gardna" can't win without it, use its effect to stop the battle or wall the attack.
  • In a "Synchron" Deck, combine this card's effect with the effect of "Nitro Warrior" to attack an extra monster each turn.
    • In a "Synchron" Deck, this card can also be combined with the effect of "Drill Synchron to draw a card.
  • This card is especially effective against a "Cloudian" Deck, where many of the monsters will be destroyed if changed to Defense Position.
  • This card is also useful against monsters with 0 DEF and monsters that must be Flip Summoned to activate their effects.
  • Combine the effects of "Junk Gardna" and "Junk Berserker" to destroy the opponent's Defense Position monsters, or change their Defense Position monsters to Attack Position and use the effect of "Berserker" to deal a great amount of damage.
  • This card is perfect for stalling opponents, making it difficult for even monsters with enough ATK to attack it (unless there are 2 or more).
  • Equip "Junk Gardna" with "Magnum Shield" to turn it into a 4000 attacker/defender plus its effect, making it very unlikely that your opponent will be able to launch any attacks. If they do try going after your weaker monsters, use cards "Shift", "Call of the Earthbound", and "Patrician of Darkness" to redirect their attacks to "Gardna", taking a lot of damage in the process, possibly destroying them if "Gardna" is in Attack Position. "Battle Mania" is also a good idea if "Gardna" is the only monster on your field.
