- Remember that your cards and effects also cannot be activated when this card is Synchro Summoned, which will include monster effects that would activate when they are used as Synchro Material Monsters, as well as the effect of your "T.G. Hyper Librarian".
- Use with "Mound of the Bound Creator" to protect this card from other card effects outside of attacking.
- "The Claw of Hermos" brings "Star Eater" to its full potential as a Beatstick. Use it to bestow either "Rocket Hermos Cannon" or "Goddess Bow" upon this card. While "Star Eater" is immune to other card effect when it attacks, either Monster lets it attack a second time. "Rocket Hermos Cannon" will allow "Star Eater" to damage your opponent more severely, while "Goddess Bow" will protect it from cards like "Honest".
- Keep in mind that this card is immune to other card effects only when it is attacking, your opponent can still get rid of it easily with "Honest" when it attacks; moreover, it is susceptible to other card effects when it is attacked.
- The effect immunity also includes your cards, so it is pointless to boost its ATK prior to, or during its attack.
- "Ghost of a Grudge" is a good defensive card to use with "Star Eater".
- Combo with "Follow Wing" and "Saga of the Dragon Emperor" to add further ATK gain and destruction protection.
Synchro Summoning[edit]
- This card can be easily Synchro Summoned by using "Rekindling" in a "Flamvell" or "Laval" Deck.
- Use the effect of "Debris Dragon" to Special Summon a Level 7 monster with low ATK, such as "Fog King" or "Regenerating Rose", and Synchro Summon this card.
- Use the effect of "Fabled Raven" to discard various "Dark World" or "Fabled" monsters to Special Summon and Synchro Summon this card.
- Discard "Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World" and "The Fabled Ganashia".
- Discard "Latinum, Exarch of Dark World" and "Fabled Lurrie".
- Discard a "Dark World" monster that Special Summons itself when discarded, then return it to the hand to Special Summon a "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World" from your Graveyard.
- Synchro Summon this card using "Shaddoll Falco" with "Shaddoll Core", or "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" with "El Shaddoll Construct". The latter combination will allow the effect of "Construct" to be used as well.
- Use the effect of "Influence Dragon" to target your "Maiden with Eyes of Blue" in order to Special Summon a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" to Synchro Summon this card.
- "Bright Star Dragon" can also be used to make "Maiden" a Level 3 Tuner monster and achieve the same result.
- Special Summon "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord", "Metal Reflect Slime", or "Tragoedia", and then Normal Summon any Level 1 Tuner Monster to Synchro Summon this card.
- Use the effect of "Overdrive Teleporter" to Special Summon "Risebell the Star Adjuster" and a Level 3 Tuner monster, then use the effect of "Risebell" to make "Overdrive Teleporter" a Level 8 monster.
- Use the effect of "Chaos-End Master" to Special Summon a Level 8 monster from your Deck.
- Target "Hieratic Dragon of Nuit" with "Lightwave Tuning" to change it into a Tuner monster, and use the effect of "Nuit" to Special Summon a Level 7 Dragon-Type Normal Monster.
- Special Summon "Creation Resonator" or "Synchro Magnet" after Synchro Summoning a Level 8 Synchro Monster.
- In a "Karakuri" Deck, use the effect of "Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 "Burei"" to Special Summon "Karakuri Watchdog mdl 313 "Saizan"" or "Karakuri Steel Shogun mdl 00X "Bureido"" to Special Summon "Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi"" and Synchro Summon this card. The latter will also allow a card to be drawn.
- Use "Onslaught of the Fire Kings" to Summon a Level 8 monster, then Summon a Level 3 Tuner monster to Tune for this card.
- Normal Summon "Kagemusha of the Six Samurai", then Special Summon "Legendary Six Samurai - Kizan" and "Grandmaster of the Six Samurai" to Synchro Summon this card.
- This card can be Synchro Summoned by using "Genex Ally Birdman" to return a "Geargiaccelerator" to the hand while another Level 4 "Geargia" monster is on your field, then Special Summoning "Geargiaccelerator" again.
- Use "Infernity Launcher" or "Infernity Mirage" to Special Summon "Infernity Archfiend" and "Infernity Necromancer", then use the effect of "Necromancer" to Special Summon "Infernity Beetle", which can then Tribute itself to Summon 2 more copies from the Deck. Synchro Summon a Level 9 Synchro Monster like "Mist Wurm" or "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier", then use the other "Beetle" with it to Synchro Summon this card.
- Special Summon "The Agent of Creation - Venus" with "Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen", "Celestial Transformation" or "Photon Lead", then use its effect to Special Summon 3 "Mystical Shine Balls". Finally, Normal Summon "The Agent of Mystery - Earth" and use it to Synchro Summon this card.
- This card can be easily special summoned (treating it as a Synchro Summon) by using "King's Synchro" provided you have the necessary monsters to banish.
Traditional Format[edit]
- Special Summon a Level 7 "Dragon Ruler" monster, then Normal Summon "Debris Dragon" or "Delta Flyer" to Synchro Summon this card. (The effect of "Delta Flyer" will need to be used to increase the Level of your "Dragon Ruler" first if you are using it.)
