This is my Cyber Dragon deck made by DarkAce. That, however, was a long time ago, and I was wondering if we could give the deck a little maintenance. Fangzntalonz (talkcontribs) 03:52, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

"Cyber Kirin" does nothing useful. I suggest you drop an "Eltanin" as it's very costly and you're low on negation. Maybe you could use some Machina monsters; "Gearframe" protects your finishers and "Fortress" can be revived with "Eltanin" if you're topdecking.
Also take out 1 "Cyber End Dragon" and 1 "Cyber Twin Dragon", using a few Xyzs and Synchros instead. I suggest
Catastor
Brionac
Orient Dragon
Utopia
and Stardust Dragon.

Kirin is there to protect me from Power Bond. Fangzntalonz (talkcontribs) 06:03, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Don't use Power Bond. It's bad-ish, and sticking Kirin in the deck to stop the damage is a waste of space. Since you're using Machina Gearframe, you may as well use Machina Fortress. Gold Sarcophagus is far inferior to Pot of Duality. I'd highly suggest a little switch. Scrap-Iron Scarecrow is bad-stalling doesn't help you win, except in some decks (although Threatening Roar is useful because of it's chainability). You're missing Torrential Tribute, Solemn Judgment, and two Solemn Warning. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 15:10, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Overload Fusion is now at 3. What's up with the random Gearframes and Upstart? Don't use Kirin, Power Bond or Sarcs, like Boba said I'd switch them for Dualities. Scarecrow is a card that needs to be at 3 or 0, if you're going to commit to running it (which is actually not a bad idea if you have the space) you have to go all the way. The Trap lineup is weak. More than anything you need Dark Bribes or 7 Tools. This deck needs to make its big plays in order to win, and if the opponent has anything at all to stop it you lose. After that, add Staples as you have room: Solemn Judgment, Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Solemn Warning. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 16:20, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Why not go with Tornado over Seven Tools (chainability). BF2 Talk Deck Guides 16:33, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

A couple reasons. Tools gives specific negation as opposed to the "blind MST" style of Dust Tornado. For example, say your opponent has a set Mirror Force and a set Starlight Road. With Dust Tornado, you only have a 50/50 chance of stopping the Mirror Force, whereas Tools gives you a 100% chance of hitting it. Furthermore, Tools works to stop opposing Tools, Judgments, and Warnings. You can try to find these cards blindly with Dust, or you can wait for them to pay out their LP and then shut them down. For example, your opponent activates Heavy Storm. Well, Dust Tornado does nothing here. But you can go Starlight, opponent Solemns, and you negate it with Tools. Playing Dust Tornado, you go Starlight and they Solemn, and you just have to accept it. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 16:52, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Well said, Lappyzard. Use Machina Gearframe with Machina Fortress. With only 1 Power Bond, you should drop Proto-Cyber Dragon entirely. Side Debunk for use against Effect Veiler/Battle Fader/ Gorz.
Why do you fellows recommend Pot of Duality? Sarc fetches Future Fusion and doesn't disrupt the flow of Chimeratech Fortress Dragon/Machina Fortress that is used for defense. 207.233.120.2 (talk) 18:41, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

The chance of getting FF from Dualities is almost as good as Sarcs, and Sarc is much slower. Duality is also more versatile, because it gives variety to your hands and consistency to decks. Duality is twice as fast and you can still FF on the turn you Duality because you aren't Special Summoning. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 18:53, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

The build you posted seems a bit different from what I gave you though. Although PoD is better than Sarc. Much faster and lets you see more of your deck. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 22:10, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

All of your suggestions are quite sound; however, I can't choose which ones to put where. Do you think someone could edit the deck list I posted down here? Fangzntalonz (talkcontribs) 20:50, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

Something like that, perhaps? Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 21:10, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

I'll try it, Lappy. Thanks. Fangzntalonz (talkcontribs) 21:32, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
