Forum:Legendary Collection 3 Predictions and Stuff

No one made this topic yet so I went for it. Better than misusing the talk page. Unfortunately I stopped watching the anime around Battle City so I'm a bit behind on it. But to throw around a few names that Yugi was known for... the Poker Knights, Dark Paladin, Egyptian God Cards, Magnet Warrior... What do you think? You'd know better than I would. Djjomon (talkcontribs) 17:12, July 7, 2012 (UTC)

Well, the Legendary Collections seems to go from Original Yu-Gi-Oh! (Legendary Collection), the GX era (Legendary Collection 2: The Duel Academy Years), so I'm guessing 3 would be around 5D's? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 20:06, July 7, 2012 (UTC)
Ignore the above, I just saw the link to Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 20:09, July 7, 2012 (UTC)
Might be cool if they made a playable The Eye of Timaeus? They most likely will never do that, seeing as the thing was crazy with it's effects/what it could be. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 20:15, July 7, 2012 (UTC)
Most likely candidate is "Dark Renewal" for the new card. Played by Yugi, has perfect synergy with his main monster, has a powerful but not utterly broken effect and is wanted by fans. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 20:27, July 7, 2012 (UTC)
That would be good. It's a lot like Magical Dimension, but a little more situational, and allows the Spellcaster to be summoned from the deck. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 20:42, July 7, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, it summons from the Graveyard. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 20:49, July 7, 2012 (UTC)
The card is still a 1-1, if I did the math right. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 21:02, July 7, 2012 (UTC)

I want the Seal...

I think "The Seal of Orichalcos" should be the promo. It makes sense...but...what about the UDE copies? Does that mean that it eliminates the Seal from the odds? Or, because it was UDE that made them, will Konami make them just to spite UDE? I don't know... What do you guys think? Xerdek! 04:26, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

Just travel to the past and get one from UDE when it was releasing: I don't think Konami would dare to release that goddamn powerful card anymore. --iFredCat 05:44, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
Julia on Pojo (she's a Konami of America employee) said that those don't count since they weren't printed by Konami. So the UDE ones don't count and I guess are unofficial. Doesn't mean the seal's the promo but it confirms that the seal is a possible candidate at least. - 魔法師 (talkcontribs) 03:42, July 9, 2012 (UTC)
Awesome! :D Xerdek! 04:20, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/products/legendary_coll3.html Seal is confirmed! Now someone smarter than me update the page with this information. Djjomon (talkcontribs) 17:35, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Nice... is it definitely going to be tournament legal? 108.196.206.15 (talk) 18:59, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
Oh my God! It is 100% tournament legal! :D And! It has all three of its powers! All of my dreams have come freaking true! :D Xerdek! 19:08, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

It is indeed The Seal.At long last, we'll all be be able to capture souls. That part is also included in the card, right?--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 20:42, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Screw you, that card better stay out of reprint unless Konami make an announce. --iFredCat 20:46, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
Congrats Xerdek! It's official, Konami granted your wish. Too bad there's no soul taking (that wouldn't make it tournament legal, too many liability issues lol). And Fredcat, it isn't a reprint. This is Konami's first printing and release of the seal. The other one, the UDE one, was pretty much deemed unofficial by Julia on Pojo. - 魔法師 (talkcontribs) 21:01, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, stealing souls is a bit extreme, but this card must have some huge drawback to be so powerful. I also want to see how they'll make the rows sytem work.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 21:10, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Stuff it, japan name user - I still called it "Reprinted" because it's re-releasing into ENGLISH base, unofficial or not. It's like Obelisk the Tormentor being reprinted into Obelisk the Tormentor. --iFredCat 21:21, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
First off, it's Chinese name user, I'm Chinese. Anyway, it was never released in the first place so it can't be considered reprinted. It was never given an official release to the public, and they were using unofficial cards. Might as well have been oricas since they were never legal outside of a special one time event and then never seen again and have since been deemed unofficial. Obelisk is a moot point since it was still an official mass release, it just wasn't tournament legal. Also, don't be so rude and irritable just because Konami printed the one card you seem to loathe.

Also Xicokiko I'm not sure it even has the double row effect. It wasn't mentioned on the product page. It just mentioned protecting weaker monsters which could just mean that the opponent has to destroy your stronger monsters before they can touch your weaker ones. - 魔法師 (talkcontribs) 21:34, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Still considered as reprinted in my book, now stop adding those pointless comments if that's mean for Forum. This is a discussion for IMPROVEMENT THE FUCKING ARTICLE! --iFredCat 21:41, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
What are you talking about? This IS the forum page to discuss the set. This isn't the article's talk page. - 魔法師 (talkcontribs) 21:48, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
*hissing* I was just in a bad mood. --iFredCat 22:02, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
Well okay then. I'm glad you calmed down now. But just so you know sir, I know better than to discuss things not pertaining to the article on talk pages. I'm not that much of a newb sir. Anyway, personally I don't care for the seal much and would've preferred Dark Renewal but oh well. C'est la vie. - 魔法師 (talkcontribs) 22:19, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Kuriboh?

I would be interested in seeing a reprinted Ultra Rare "Kuriboh" to be honest. That would be a great Collector's Item. --SuperSponge!! 10:14, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

As well as rest of his long lost brothers we never laid our hands on till now. --iFredCat 10:17, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
I always thought it would be fun to use Kuribandit or Kuribabylon. They are good cards, and they wouldn't be broken. Billybennai, Master of Synchrons 10:33, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
But then they would have to make all the other little fluff balls, that are like cousins to Kuriboh. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 15:23, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

Cosmic Blazer Dragon? DreadKaiser (talkcontribs) 03:13, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

For some reason, I would think Konami would do something from the old Yu-Gi-Oh! era, and not something from 5D's, it makes more sense that way, considering the collection is Yugi's World. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:21, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

I hope it's not http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/The_Creator_God_of_Light,_Horakhty because there is no guarantee that Konami will stick to what they said about not seeing this card in the Earth or something like that. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 17:47, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

Konami has already said it was a card never before released like the World (TCG)Exclusives. There's no reason to doubt them when they've already advertised it as such. And Horakhty is very unlikely since only 10,000 were made in Japan and you could only get a copy through a promotion/sweepstakes. Konami wouldn't make it that easy for TCG to get it when Japan has such a hard time getting it. Besides, it was a JUMP promotion I believe and Konami can't just reprint those very easily since they're owned by Shueisha, not Konami. - 魔法師 (talkcontribs) 21:30, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

The Main Set

As far as the set itself, I would like to see reprints of the cards from the old Tournament Pack and McDonald's Promotional Cards sets, as well as other hard-to-find cards from the Yugi era.

--Moja619 (talkcontribs) 17:53, July 10, 2012 (UTC)

within the set, i'd like to see a more common version of Dark Magician Girl. I've never owned a copy, cause they are hard to find for me (not on the internet) and the people that i know that do own one will never trade it away.

Decks that can include the Seal

Im thinkin that if the Seal of Orichalcos can stop other field spells from bein played, I guess that it can easily b used as a side decker, or in Anti-Meta Decks. What other decks do ya think the Seal can be played in? Guardmaster (talkcontribs) 00:15, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

At the moment the exact effect of Orichalcos is unknown, the only sure thing we know about it is that it will give all your monsters 500 extra att. How it will stop itself being removed from the field is anyone's guess. Also I love the fact that they said 'one' card that everyone has wanted for a long time is in the pack when in fact there's two, the Gorz token. No longer will I have to use a random card for it!--The FireFALL (talkcontribs) 00:21, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
Orichalcos will probably become the new Closed Forest. Sided against anything Field-reliant... Gravekeeper's, maybe Dark World, etc. Of course decks will be based on it though. Malefic decks with Skill Drain will love it. My god... Skill Drain > Geartown > Geartown > Orichalcos > Malefic Monster > Beast King Barbaros. + 2000 attack anyone? Djjomon (talkcontribs) 04:58, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

Blackwings with the seal? Not only do they get the 500 power bonus but can have ten monsters! They were bad enough before now it's just overkill.--LJMcClurkin (talkcontribs) 14:19, July 15, 2012 (UTC)

Seal's Effect

Now that we all know whats going to be in it I think we should guess on how Konami is going to mess up the effect or what is going to be on the card.

I think it would be cool if it said "the looser of this duel forfeits one card to the winner" because souls probably wont make the cut.

I'll be mad if it says "looser". Djjomon (talkcontribs) 03:53, July 15, 2012 (UTC)
Ok Well thank you Mr grammar Nazi. No one asked you.--72.83.89.189 (talk) 13:45, July 15, 2012 (UTC)

Though in other news, that would be quite the interesting effect. Djjomon (talkcontribs) 17:42, July 15, 2012 (UTC)

I hope it has the effect that it can't be destroyed or something close to that. If it does, this card can (I know you guys heard about this before) help Malefic decks and others that rely on a field spell. (which I don't know) Can't wait for October after September with the ban list. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 01:40, July 17, 2012 (UTC)

European Release?

So, I noticed the North American release is Oct 2nd, what about Europe? I've been dying for the Seal ever since I was a kid, and now I can. Small confession, I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh since the season Finale of Yu-Gi-Oh Gx, but I decided I was going to purchase the two Legendary Collections off of amazon for around £60 and start playing again.
