Rules

Mainly the basic questions I believe to be are:

  • What should be the limit of contestants?
  • How long do competing contestants have to complete a Match?
  • What happens to a contestant that does not complete their Match in the given time?
  • What happens to contestants that do not get along are put into a Match?
  • How do we arrange with who is going against who?

-If there are any rules that I left out that should be listed, please let me know.

Yugioh DED's suggestions

  • I think the total number of contestants should be 32.
  • I say contestants have three days to complete their Match.
  • The obvious answer I believe to a person that doesn't complete their Match in the given time will be disqualified, and the other person will move on to the next round.
  • About two contestants that do not get along being put into a Match; I think we should separate them, choose another two contestants (preferably ones that also do not get along as well), and switch their places with each other.
  • I honestly do not know how to arrange who would go against who. Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 18:56, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Pato's Suggestions

I think we should make a list of the people that are wanting 2 get in, like this:

==duelist==
* yugioh ded
* fallensilence
* me

(and goes on) Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 19:02, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Drew-Gi-Oh!'s suggestions(1)

  • What should be the limit of contestants? 16-64.
  • How long do competing contestants have to complete a Match? a week at max
  • What happens to a contestant that does not complete their Match in the given time? Disqualify both, I suppose.
  • What happens to contestants that do not get along are put into a Match? it's life, deal with it.
  • How do we arrange with who is going against who? I suppose you could always do the random matchups like in random tournaments. Or maybe by skill level or something, however that could be arranged.

--Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 22:06, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

  • Disqualifying both players would be bad, meaning that there'd be an odd amount of players that would end up in the Semi-Finals. Also, a week for a Match? a little TOO long, wouldn't you say? People would take that advantage and duel at the last minute.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 22:16, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
  • Well some people are busy with school and stuff. Give them a week. Also Drew I'm doing the matchups. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:49, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Falzar FZ's suggestions

  • What should be the limit of contestants? I prefer exactly 4 or 8 or 16; although 6 is ok as well
  • How long do competing contestants have to complete a Match? A week seems reasonable
  • What happens to a contestant that does not complete their Match in the given time? Sudden Death... idk
  • What happens to contestants that do not get along are put into a Match? Have someone watching; as judge (I think that's a function on YVD, but I haven't used it before)
  • How do we arrange with who is going against who? RNG
1) Also, the the table I was asked to make should be good. It currently has a table of matchups (with the forks and stuff (ASCII art = win)), the times, and I was thinking of adding a section on deck names. Any thoughts on what else I might add? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:25, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
  • 2) Is there a handicap? like if you use a meta deck, then no side decking; or start off with 6000 LPs for them. (so we can prevent something like "Well obviously, either Blackings or X-Sabers are going to win") -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 13:50, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
  • 3) I'm going to need to collect time zone data. Feel free to post them under this; or leave it on my talk page. see below. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:45, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
No handicap. It's a matter of how the player uses the deck.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 03:58, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Yugioh DED's suggestions

Well, I think the most reasonable answer as to if someone doesn't complete their Match in the given time is that the other person will be moving on, but if BOTH seem to not be participating, I guess Falzar's idea works; whoever messages Fallensilence that they're on first will move on (any better suggestions of the situation are welcomed). And I was also thinking, Pato, that I'll start gathering everybody's YVD username (after we have enough players; 16 the tops then), give it to you for storage, then when the official page is being made, Falzar, Pato will give the usernames for you to put up by everyone's Yugioh Wikia username.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 04:55, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Fallensilence's question

This may be a stupid question but are we using traditional or official? Official sounds the best. Especially with the new ban list coming up, I'd like to see what comes up, especially to see what happens to the top tiers. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:15, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • I think you mean "advanced" instead of official. Yeah of course advanced. This is another reason why starting the tournament in a few days is REALLY bad. Since they'll have to post their decklists, and since you can only have 1 list, the banlist would.....be a little too messy on the tournament's part.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 05:19, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Drew-Gi-Oh!'s suggestions (2)

Except for the fact there hasn't been a really reasonable object to what happens if the Match hasn't been completed in time. I mean, how would you determine who would go? A coin toss? No Thanks. Sudden Death? Yeah, because both players can do a sudden death match instead of a regular match. I was thinking, maybe it could be either a.) Voluntary Surrender (Like in the latest tournament where Fallen's Comp wasn't working) OR Decklist Comparation. I.E. you look at the Decklists and judges would decide which would seem to be victorious, IN A WORST-CASE SCENARIO, IF NEITHER DUELIST CAN REACH A DESIGNATED TIME. Like if it were Worms VS. Ally of Justice, the outcome could probaly be ruled in the favor of AOJ if it's Deckbuild was superior. Any other suggestions? --Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 05:32, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well I really would look down on seeing which deck is better to see who goes to the next match. Voluntary Surrender is great. Sudden Death would be perfect if they don't have enough time. Double KO would be perfect if they don't make the deadline and I can rearrange the next match a little easier. However I might think of making another loser's round by deckbuild. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:37, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

HHTurtle's Suggestions

  • What should be the limit of contestants? 8. It'll be difficult to regulate it if it gets any bigger.
  • How long do competing contestants have to complete a Match? A week.
  • What happens to a contestant that does not complete their Match in the given time? Both of them are given and auto-game loss?
  • What happens to contestants that do not get along are put into a Match? Same as above.
  • How do we arrange with who is going against who? Eenie meenie minee moe?-- HHTurtle Talk   11:10, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
  • HHTurtle, I don't think it's going to be 8 participants. 16 is a good amount. And besides, I already have about 9-10 participants anyways. Why if two players that don't get along are put into a Match, they have to have an auto-game loss? If anything, we'll switch them with another 2.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 13:42, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
  • I personally think it'll be immature if both duelist don't get along. I just think that they should either play their match or don't play at all.-- HHTurtle Talk   17:15, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
  • You're right. How's this on the rules; *If you are put against someone that you do not get along with, then either play with them, or forfeit.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 17:42, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
  • Sounds good. Basically the idea is "Play nice or don't play at all".-- HHTurtle Talk   17:43, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

The Official Rules

-Here are a few rules every participant here should know.

  • Once you know who you will be dueling against for the tournament, you will have a week to complete your Match.
  • If you do not complete your Match in the given time, then sorry, you're out.
  • If you are dueling against someone who you do not get along with, then that's too bad; play and get it over with, or forfeit.

(Note that I didn't include 2 things we've been talking about. That's because the 2 left out obviously shouldn't be mentioned in the RULES section.) Does this sound good? If it does, I'll be giving it to Falzar to edit it.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 17:58, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • On the second one. If we disqualify both, then the un-even numbers will get messy. I have no problems with the other 2. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:42, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
  • Yeah, that's what I said before too. Well Falzar, could you set up the rule table you were talking about? We need to see it so we know if there needs to be anymore edits.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 03:19, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
I don't really recall having to set up a rule table. Although I do remember a table containing match-ups, time, name/YVD name/Deck name.
I could add a new section to it, but Full preview shouldn't be needed any time soon.
Currently, for that section it holds this:
* All duels will be in the TCG Advanced Format, using whatever cards YVD has to offer in their in-game update feature.
* The banlist used will be the September 2010 List.
* Once you know who you will be dueling against for the tournament, you will have a week to complete your Match.
* If you do not complete your Match in the given time (or cannot come to an agreement of some sort e.g. forfeit), then sorry, you're both out.
* If you are dueling against someone who you do not get along with, then that's too bad; play and get it over with, or forfeit.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 04:17, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
On another note. I'd prefer it if everyone used Hamachi (or at least have it installed so it can be quickly be used if connections can't be made). -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 04:17, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
Huh, yeah you told me about the table of something; I forgot what though. I could take this off of your hands if you want me to then. As for the rules though, they look good. I'll tell Pato to save this for when to time comes. By the way, mind telling me exactly what Hamachi is?---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 04:46, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
It creates a virtual network and gives you a 'virtual' new IP address. Use this new address to easily connect to someone else using Hamachi. It also gets past any annoying firewalls that prevent you from connecting when doing it the normal way and vice versa. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 04:59, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
Ah. Alright, well if you can give me a link to where to download it, I'll address that to the participants when I ask for their decklists/YVD usernames as well.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 05:02, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
YVD can let you create usernames that bypass the annoying IP addresses, too. Not sure about Firewalls, though. --Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 05:06, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
There's a guide from the same site as where you download YVD, and it should be this one. Use the Free and Unmanaged Version.
You're going to ask people to submit their decks via e-mail right? that way, we don't see it until it's actually distributed.
While you're at it, can you collect a list of Time Zones? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:10, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

Alright, here's how the message will look

For the tournament, I will be asking for a couple of things:

  • 1. Your YVD username to post on the Official YVD Tournament Page for convenience.
  • 2. Your Time Zones to post on the Official YVD Tournament Page for convenience.
  • 3. Your decklist via e-mail. My e-mail is ([email protected]).
  • 4. We would also suggest you download Hamachi; it helps connect to opponents while avoiding Firewalls and the such. Here's a link. (Use the Free and Unmanaged Version.) Note that you do not HAVE to download this, but it's to increase the chance greatly that you will be able to connect to your opponent.

-Is that good? Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 14:36, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

Sounds great but why do you need our email for? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 15:30, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

So everyone gives me their decklists and nobody sees them. Like, if everyone gave me their decklists on my Talk Page, everyone else can see everyone's decklists.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 15:35, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
What's wrong with that though? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 15:42, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
Some people wouldn't like that. It would give away the strategy of the game. Even though we would know if someone looks at the decklists on my Talk Page and puts in an unfair card, it still takes away the whole strategy of the game.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 15:44, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
Oh so it's better to keep it as a secret. Nice work. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 15:47, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
I honestly take no credit on that. I give all of that to YamiWheeler. I actually thought it would've been better to give everyone their opponent's decklist so they can report back to us for any foul play, but as YamiWheeler stated, suspecting foul play seems fair enough.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 15:51, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

So you can check for banned cards.......wow YamiWheeler that's impressive. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 15:55, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

No not banned cards, YVD takes care of that itself. No, I mean like if a Machina Gadget deck is fighting a Lightsworn deck, and the Lightsworn player "all of the sudden" puts in a card like System Down.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 15:58, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah but there is nothing wrong about putting it in from the side deck. And I doubt they would put that in suddenly. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 16:01, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

I know. By getting everyone's decklist, and when someone reports us an act of foul play, we can go through that person's Main Deck, Side Deck, and Extra Deck and determine if that person cheated, or if such a card was in fact in their Side Deck. If they DID cheat, we would disqualify them.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 18:16, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

Oh ok I see. Thanks for answering all my questions. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 20:09, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

UPDATE

Alright, so for starters, I took the few seconds to post how many contestants we currently have a the top of this page. That number could potentially be 14, but those are unconfirmed for the time being. Second, I'm going to be giving everyone my hotmail e-mail. Third, I really need Pato to be on a little more often.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 03:44, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Wouldn't it be easier if we gave you our emails? Then you won't have to type longer stuff. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 03:54, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

BY THE WAY I'm going to need someone to have my decklist, so they make sure I don't cheat. I won't, but I'm sure everyone would agree that it has to be done.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 04:00, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
What about me? I need something to do since I'm bored. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 04:12, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah sure, but not now; when we reach 16 players.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 04:18, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
  • And about everyone giving me their e-mail; I'm trying to make it as convenient for our participants as possible. Don't worry, I can handle messaging the same thing to 15 people. Basically, I can just Copy and Paste. The only thing I'll have to do each time is giving them the Hamachi link.---Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 04:21, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Updating card images

  • This should contain all image updates, including ALL DREV.
and if you still don't have Starlight Road's image, copy this into the DPCT folder. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 10:42, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks though they have an update section on the left side of the YVD thing. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:39, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

It only updates the card info. Card images must be added by yourself. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 00:41, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

Oh. Wow I did not knew that. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 03:54, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

YamiWheeler's Suggestions

  • You should probably put up a list of who is already going to be participating, so you can keep track.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 15:42, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Yet another update

Okay, so we're closing in on 16 participants. If anyone knows anybody that has, 1, a working YVD, and 2, a Yugioh Wikia account, then try to get them to join pleaseYugioh DED (talkcontribs) 01:41, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • Ok I'm going to ask you people a number from 1 through 16 to decide who's going against who. It's easier that way. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 03:23, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

-dest-'s suggestionss

well, if you want to randomize the numbers after you got all I suggest [random.org, list randomizer] -dest- (talkcontribs) 05:05, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Nice this can come in handy somedays but not for this tournament. Sorry dest. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:28, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Header

Whenever the actual page is made, I'll be adding a copy of this to the top of the page.
Currently, I still need more time zones and YVD usernames. The deck names will be added just after the tournament begins (or whenever all the decklists are submitted).
Any suggestions on what else I might add are welcome.
I still don't like current rule for "If you do not complete your Match in the given time". -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 10:01, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

mhm, I'm not exactly the biggest fan of the second rule myself. What do you suggest we replace it with? Maybe it can be:
  • If you do not complete your Match in a given amount of time, the person that was absent and unable to attend the Match is out, and the other player will be progressing to the next round

-How's that? (By the way I'll be looking at what you wrote down on the link in a second.---DED Light((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left At This Link) 12:40, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Oh yeah I'm going to send the who vs. who soon. So yeah maybe I can email Falzar the list. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 01:28, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

Everyone sent their numbers already? Huh. Then yeah, please do.---DED((Talk Page!!) 07:38, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

No we are still waiting on three more. If they don't pick by September 1rst, I'll pick for them. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 18:39, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

Just do what I did. I told everyone that didn't give me there information (unless I talked to them personally) that the deadline for sending information is Sep 3rd.---DED((Talk Page!!) 00:22, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

I'll just stick to September 2nd then. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:07, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

2 more rules here

! These are rule numbers in order of how they seem on Falzar's "Rules" table.

  • Rule #4 (edited):So, for the one rule Falzar mentioned he didn't like, as I stated above, the player that does not complete their Match in the given time will be disqualified. I will contact the players that have not completed their Match 2 days before the deadline. Obviously, the one who is absent and does not reply is disqualified, and the other player will be moving on. If both are absent and do not message me back within the 2 days, well then they're both out.
  • Rule #6:If there is an odd amount of players, then Fallensilence, use -dest-'s random number link he gave us. #1 player will be fighting #2 player, #3 player will be fighting #4 player, and so on. The player that does not have an opponent will be automatically moving on.
I know that isn't the best option we have, but it's more like the ONLY option we have. And besides, the exact thing happened to me at Regionals; my opponent didn't show up, so they counted that as my win.

- So altogether, the rules should say:

  • All duels will be in the TCG Advanced Format, using whatever cards YVD has to offer in their in-game update feature.
  • The banlist used will be the September 2010 List.
  • Once you know who you will be dueling against for the tournament, you will have a week to complete your Match.
  • If you an your opponent do not complete your Match in the given time, Yugioh DED will contact both players 2 days before the deadline. Whichever player seems to be absent by the time the deadline occurs, then that player will be disqualified, and the unabsent player will be moving on. If both are absent, then both are out.
  • If you are dueling against someone who you do not get along with, then that's too bad; play and get it over with, or forfeit.
  • If there is an odd amount of players, we will be using a random number engine. The last player will automatically be moving on.

Any questions? DED((Talk Page!!) 00:35, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

I currently have a problem: I only have internet during Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I try to fix that, but I can't say for sure if I can get that to work until the start. So, lets say my opponent doesn't respond until Sunday evening, so I just can't do anything. Am I then disqualified? -dest- (talkcontribs) 01:13, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

I need specific dates to answer you question.---DED((Talk Page!!) 01:15, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

well, its every week... so, if i'm not mistaken, september 10 is friday, so for my first duel i have sept 10, 11 and 12, for the second there is 17, 18, 19 and so on. If my opponent can't at that time I can't do anything. And sorry for coming with that now but until last tuesday I didn't even know about this (was a surprising job offer^^). As said, I try to get Internet for during the week, but I can't promise that I can actually get it. -dest- (talkcontribs) 01:50, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

What if both players seem to be present, but their times never match? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 04:24, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Well I don't think there should be that much of a hassle unless the opponents are 11-13 hours apart. Uhm what do you suggest we do?---DED((Talk Page!!) 19:14, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think it matters as long as both players are still alive. Besides I'm pretty sure they aren't that stupid to plan out a duel. Just leave it to them. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:34, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Status

Yugioh DED:Collected 10/16 users' information.

So just do what I did above, except of course your name and your job. Also, I know i've said this a million times...where's Pato?---DED((Talk Page!!) 03:06, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

bussy reading the dive comedy, getting 120 days of banning of xerocreative, bussy, moving, loving, testing wich is better scrap or new stun, testing how many warnings goes on stun, or in scrap, 2 much stuff, y? Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 03:14, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Just so I could know your status. I mean, you are part of the team. I've just notcied that you've been absent from commenting on anything in this forum talk. We need all the help we can get. DED((Talk Page!!) 03:25, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

15/16 huh. Does that include yourself?---DED((Talk Page!!) 03:26, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

To Falzar

Falzar, please add this rule to your table.

  • Once you are done with your Match, inform Yugioh DED on his talk page as soon as possible. Here is a shortcut if needed.

DED((Talk Page!!) 04:08, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Why not: Once you are done with your Match, post it on the tournament page as soon as possible? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:35, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
I was debating whether or not confirming that people are done with their Match should go on my Talk or on the Tournament Page. Hm sure, it can go on the Tournament page. Telling them to just put, "Done," and who won and who lost would be fine, no? .---DED((Talk Page!!) 05:49, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
Yea, that would be fine. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:52, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

The Official YVD Tournament page rough draft

This is how the Official YVD Tournament page will look (of course without Falzar's completed table, because I do not have a copy of it).---DED((Talk Page!!) 04:36, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

You mind if I send you the vs. list and you send it to Falzar? I don't know his email. Plus it's easier this way. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:26, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Nor do I. He hasn't e-mailed his decklist yet, so I don't know it. You should probably message him and ask.---DED((Talk Page!!) 12:34, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

You can pass it on when I send you my deck list if you want. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 12:36, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Send me the decklist or send Yugioh DED the decklist? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:08, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

I sent my deck list to Yugioh DED last night. You got it, right? -bewk 17:59, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

I bet he already got it. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:44, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Ok It's Sent

You will know the results of who vs. who next Friday on September 10th. Get ready for the most awesome YVD tournament yet! Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:53, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

An absence

Archnomad has not sent his decklist yet, and with about 6 hours left (on my time) he won't be able to. In such a case, according to Fallensilence's matching chart, -dest- will move on to the next round as a result of "surrender". Yugioh DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 22:54, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

i'm sending mine right now. so, just 2 confirm my side, wich decks can and can't be used? Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 23:25, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

The Champion of YVD Tournament Champions!

I came up with a great idea. When the winner of the YVD Tournament 2 is official, I will declare a surprise "Champion of YVD Tournament Champions" Match. Basically, the winner of YVD Tournament 2 will face Pato M, the current YVD champion. Both players will, of course, still keep their titles as YVD Tournament champions, but only one will have the title of Champion of YVD Tournament Champions. Any objections?---Yugioh DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 05:32, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Dude I said something like that earlier. But sure why not? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:18, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

You did? I thought you said something like whoever would win that champion Match would just have the title of YVD Tournament Champion, not the Champion of YVD Tournament Champions.Yugioh DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 15:59, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Well I said something like that. I can't remember. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:01, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

so, ill play the regular tournament, and the match for the ´´champion of the champions´´?(sounds cooler).

also, the fixture will be given on the 10th right? Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 22:17, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

An absence

Lighness has not sent his/her decklist to me either. So JJXY will be moving on. Also, before someone asks, we cannot put -dest- and JJXY in a Match, because that would leave into an odd amount of players.Yugioh DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 21:50, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Well played DED. Oh yeah so if we give you our recustomized deck list, then it wouldn't be too late right? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:31, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

I'm so disappointed. Instead of dueling in this tournament, I have to go to Arizona. Sorry, guys. I'll be sure to sign up for the next one. -bewk 17:40, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

NO! Oh well have fun. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:23, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

This is why...

  • You guys should have held the tournament sooner instead of having a pointless week's break in between. There was really no reason for it.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 21:27, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

We didn't know about that. Things happen unexpectedly. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:29, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

  • Obviously, but I mean, what was the reasoning for holding it 1 week after the preparation was complete anyway?--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 21:32, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Well it's to keep suspense. Obviously suspense is what make things awesome. For example, if we keep getting new booster packs every day, it'll be common and boring. That's why we need to wait for it. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:42, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

  • That's not the reason why we don't get booster packs everyday. The reason is because it would be impractical for them to make that many cards in such a short amount of time and be able to print and market them effectively. It's always practical reasons, and the decision to put a week's break with this was very impractical.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 22:01, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Well yeah there's that too. I'm just putting it as an example. The point is that it's easier just to put it on Friday. Almost anything good coming out comes out on Friday. Just leave it alone. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 22:35, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for understanding. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:04, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

I admit, I would've liked it a tad earlier myself. But a date is a date. This is the second tournament. If things progress from here, I'll (we'll) be sure to make some changes based on experience.Yugioh DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 01:42, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

Have fun at Arizona. Hopefully they have something awesome as card games there. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 15:08, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

I guess I'm still in the tournament (yay!) because, as Yugioh DED told me, I have a long amount of time to complete my match. I will still feel bad for whoever gets paired up against me, because they will have to wait a few days to duel me. -bewk 04:06, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Megadeth's Thoughts

Err, should we log our duels and later post em on the YVD Duel Terminal Page? Megadeth9887 (talkcontribs) 02:44, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Well if you want to do that, go for it. You don't have to. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:08, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed.Yugioh DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 22:28, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Glad you agreed sir. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:00, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

I just thought it would be easier to log the matches as to see who actually WON their match instead of just relying on someone's "confirmation" is all. But if it's optional, it's all good. Megadeth9887 (talkcontribs) 02:43, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

What do you mean by logging the matches? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:09, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

There's an option on YVD that lets you record your match. Every action is recorded and later saved as a readable file. Megadeth9887 (talkcontribs) 22:08, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Cool. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:30, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

The day is almost here

Everyone prepared for the tournament tomorrow? The day just came by real fast and I would like to thank all of you for participating in this event. I can't wait to see your skills except for the Anti Meta decks. They annoy me the most. Well good luck tomorrow and hopefully you have fun. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:32, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

My Chaos is ready to roll. Megadeth9887 (talkcontribs) 00:47, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

I believe that it is 'Today'. (Server Time and the time here) xD -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 00:47, September 10, 2010 (UTC)
Yep. I posted that Round 1 is open on here. I was kinda busy (as stated on the page), so sorry for being a few hours late.
Also, I believe the next Round should be open on September 19 (not 18) because if someone gets their Match done at the last minute, then it will be sudden for Falzar to post the winner. Agreed?DED Dragoon((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 05:11, September 10, 2010 (UTC)
It shouldn't be that sudden. Aren't people supposed to post who won on Forum:YVD Tournament 2! before the 18th? Well, I guess it doesn't really matter. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:34, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah it doesn't matter. What matter is getting the tournament to go smooth. Hopefully they'll be more wins then dropping out. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:10, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

Exactly. A day to prepare for Round 2 should clear any confusion of anything smoooothly.DED Dragoon((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 17:29, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

....... i hope so. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:49, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

guys, im sorry i come out late, but where do i post the winner of the match? Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 23:52, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

Go to the Duel Terminal section and you will post it on the YVD Tournament 2 thing. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:25, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

If finished early...

I don't suppose that if all players finish Round 1 in (let's say) three days, then we could start Round 2 two days after? (One day for any confusion settlements.)DED Dragoon((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 20:39, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't recommend it. Some people just like to relax and you should leave them be. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 17:17, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

Just as I anticipated

So as everyone knows, Round 1 is going a tad iffy, correct? It's not really that much to get worried about. Mainly it's just because the people that couldn't even get the their Match have either seen uncooperating circumstances, or are just not taking this thing as serious as they thought ('cause card games gots to be taken seriously or else chaos will endure...look I'm just saying). I'm also anticipating that Round 2 will go a lot smoother, since the people that will be heading into there seem to be taking this a little more seriously (not that I'm saying that the people that lost in their Match don't take it any less serious).|DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 04:58, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

Well that sounds good to me even though I lost. Man if Yugioh DED wins, then I'm the only staff that didn't even made it to the first round. Wow. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:13, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

I most likely will win as a result of absence. But Fallen, you're missing something there. If Falzar won (which he did), then you would be part of the staff that didn't make it to the 2nd Round. On the other hand, if you wouldv'e won, then Falzar would be part of the staff that didn't make it to the 2nd Round. My point is, when staff face eachother, there's 100% chance that one of them will be out of the next Round. And last time I checked, I'm facing Pato if I win, so there's a 100% chance that one member of the staff will make it into Round 3.--Fun Fact|DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 21:55, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah that's what I was trying to mention. Sadly explaining is one of my weaknesses. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:51, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Question

When are the deck lists going to be released? Also, when will the pairing chart get updated? -bewk 02:10, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Decklists are not going to be released as of privacy matters (idea by YamiWheeler, I TAKE NO CREDIT). Also, Round 2 starts September 19 (even though the deadline is the 17th), and as such, will be when the new pairs are released. Further updates will be on the YVD Tournament 2! page (usually posted by me), so probably looking there will help you out a little.|DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 03:16, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
