Welcome[edit]

Hi and welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki! Thank you for your edit to the Set Card Galleries:Extra Pack: Knights of Order (OCG-KR-UE) page.

If you need help, you can consult these pages:

If you would like to make a suggestion or ask for assistance, feel free start a topic at the forums or contact an administrator.

Adding card images[edit]

When uploading card images in the future, please include the following in the edit description box:

{{OCG-TCG card image
| name = Blue-Eyes White Dragon
}}

However, you would replace "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" with the name of the card you're uploading. Thanks. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:36, February 9, 2017 (UTC)

These images don't need licensing. All you need is the above. (If at some point they do need licensing, it can be easily done via bot editing all the card image pages.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:03, February 9, 2017 (UTC)

Mover rights[edit]

Hi there. I want to thank you for the stupendous Korean card images you've been uploading! You seem to deal a lot with card images; thus, I've granted you mover rights.
When moving pages on the main namespace, usually, you should leave a redirect behind. As for the rest, in general, you shouldn't. There are exceptions, though. On files, do not leave redirects.
When moving files, you'll have access to the queue. It can be complicated to use it. I'd recommend you to also read this.
If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. Have fun! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:08, February 19, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm seeing that you have more than just Korean images. Very nice! Keep up the good work!
Anything, don't hesitate in contacting me. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:20, February 19, 2017 (UTC)
Pleas don't leave redirects behind when moving files. Thank you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:40, February 25, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, first moves I made; trying not to blow things up.

Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 22:25, February 25, 2017 (UTC)

Hey, hello! I only want to thank you :D Your korean card images are awesome, I'll be waiting for more. Hope you're good ;) Btaichou (talkcontribs) 21:43, March 1, 2017 (UTC)

Sure thing, I'll upload more as I scan them. I like looking at them at 1400x2050p You can see a lot of tiny details you won't notice with the card in your hands. Unless you use a x20 magnifying galss, but you would see it in parts, so it doesn't compare to that resolution resolution being able to see the small image square as a full screen image.

Great Korean images[edit]

Hello. I'm adding more thanks for your Korean images. We were somewhat lax with adding images for KR sets for a long time. I know that your collection doesn't stretch back to older sets, but as a collector, do you know of any sites that have unwatermarked KR images from those older sets? --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 17:48, April 23, 2017 (UTC)

Not really. Problem with Korean product is the very localized distribution; so maybe only Korean players would know about local online stores with such images; I've tried looking for some, but when it comes to older sets everyone Watermarks their images on display because they don't want fake sales popping up using them.
I've seen recent (2016-to date) --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:29, April 23, 2017 (UTC)YT videos of older Korean product openings from LOB onwards because of how popular those products are to see openings for, so maybe an option would be to ask those Youtubers for pictures.
This guy has been doing openings at a steady passe and doesn't upload daily, so he might have the time to take the pics (even standard quality so that it doesn't take him too much time to send them to you and then you could crop and edit as best as possible). https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaDB9RdCbyN9SPZc5dU6SvK2iI9dKMZwO
I personally didn't tried collecting the older sets in Korean because the pulls are the same as in the TCG and I already had a hard time completing those sets in the TCG to go and torture myself with the Korean sets as well.
This other guy is Korean and opens ALL product, so maybe he might be the best option; I am sure he is an eBay seller, but can't tell for sure. Problem is I am not Korean fluent XD So I wouldn't be able to ask him for pictures, dunno if you could. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCygE_VEjtO1INSj8g4x193A He always uploads at 1080p, so maybe even screen shots could work :P

Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 18:12, April 23, 2017 (UTC)

Cool, thanks for the suggestion. Networking to find people with cards who are willing to scan is definitely a path we could take. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:29, April 23, 2017 (UTC)

Updating multiple file links[edit]

Hey there. If you intend to change all the JPG images on Set Card Galleries:Duelist Pack: Jaden Yuki 2 (OCG-KR-UE) into PNG, I'd prefer if you could change them all at once, to avoid, so far, 22 history entries, when one was enough. You can do this by loading the queue with all the file links and only then update, instead of one at a time. Thank you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:28, April 26, 2017 (UTC)

Ok, I'll do that with the last ones; I scan, crop and upload them slowly, that is why I change the links 1 at a time, but not problem in letting them pile up and then doing a single Queue trick. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:42, April 26, 2017 (UTC)
Will you eventually move all Strategy cards galleries down to their own section? Because so far you've only done so for my DP03 and DP08 uploads, and they are lonely down there :P I always found it weird that people uploaded TCG 1st and UE pictures of the Strategy cards when there is no real way of telling which edition they where pulled from (unless of course they were errata'ed). So maybe you should start by bombing the duplicated Strategy cards sections on the TCG galleries and keep the one with the best quality of course. And then migrate them down. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 21:24, April 26, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, eventually, they'll be all moved, for the reasons you mentioned, basically. I intended to do that myself, but have been busy, so I can't do it all for now. In any case, there's no problem if you add, for instance, the Korean ones to the existent gallery, like you did now (I just managed to have some time, so I moved them). It's a slow process. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:44, April 26, 2017 (UTC)
Whenever you tag certain images for deletion, you must write "{{Delete|reason=Replaced by [[:File:|PNG]]}}. Always follow my example. IgorThunderMaster (talkcontribs) 01:41, April 28, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, I was only told to put the plain "{{Delete}}" but maybe those are different because they didn't had the OCG|TCG part to begin with so you couldn't see the square with the "A PNG file exists for this...". But in any case, I'll do it like you say if I replace more jpgs. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 12:46, April 28, 2017 (UTC)
It's fine to use only {{Delete}}, since you usually upload PNG images of existent JPG, so the file name is exactly the same. But if the old file name differs from the PNG one, it may be useful to let the person who's going to delete it know where it is located.
The square saying a JPG version exists, etc., etc., comes from {{OCG-TCG card image}}, not from {{Delete}}.
In any case, it's always a good practice to leave a reason/summary. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:12, April 28, 2017 (UTC)
Has it ever been discussed if the VideoGame, Anime, and Manga images in the card galleries should be grouped and placed under a -let's say- collapsable menu? Because when I update them with my previously uploaded card images it is always a mess to look at the bottom with all those images; maybe because the KR images go at the bottom of the card sections I always have to look at that mess, but it looks out of place and makes the galleries "dirty".
Also, how about merging the Dimension Set with the Dimension Box Limited Edition? That discussion hasn't moved, and I still think they should be merged because they use the same prefix and have the same cards; except in different presentation. Thanks. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 18:00, April 29, 2017 (UTC)
No, a collapsible menu wouldn't be ideal. I know some card galleries have tons of images and the way they are presented isn't ideal. I had some ideas to change that, but it's still in development.
Hum, guess it may make sense to merge them, yes. Might look into it later. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:38, April 29, 2017 (UTC)

Misc. Stuff[edit]

Hi, could you please update the red links on the Set Card Galleries:Hidden Arsenal 7: Knight of Stars (TCG-PT-1E) ? I've been updating individual card galleries and stumbled upon some red links corresponding to that gallery; so could you please get your bot to update and link them, thanks.

Also, don't know who is in charge of inputting the region-specific names for cards, but there are a LOT of Korean cards I've uploaded that don't have their Korean name under the image, so could you please check or tell whoever does that to check the galleries I've uploaded (links present in my profile). I know this isn't important and is mostly a visual help, but it would be nice to eventually have them done, because I am sure many of them were never written to begin with because there was no image to read the official name from, but with my uploads I think there are over a 1,000 cards that could use the update now.

Thanks in advance. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:13, May 26, 2017 (UTC)

Hey there. Ok, first, if you're starting a new section, it's best to leave a message on my talk page, since it triggers the JS popup for me.
Yep, I'll take care of it in a while, don't worry.
The fact the Korean name is not displaying there is because the card page doesn't have the Korean name (names are (and should be) always and only inserted in the card page, not in the galleries). No one's in charge of that; people help as they can and like. So you'll have to wait for someone interested in adding the names. Some people do that sometimes. Sometimes I do it too, but is not something I focus on. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:33, May 26, 2017 (UTC)

Foiling[edit]

Hi there. Are the stars for "Kachi Kochi Dragon" foil? Its Attribute isn't, right? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:24, June 16, 2017 (UTC)

Assuming you mean the MACR-ENSE version, Super Rare cards never have foil Level/Rank or attribute. --MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 13:30, June 16, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I mean those. But look at the last two; their foil has been revamped (foil Spell icon). But it seems like the foil of the monsters hasn't (no foil Attribute). So I find it weird for their Level to be foiled, but not their Attribute. I'm asking Erdvilla because of this diff. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:41, June 16, 2017 (UTC)
No, only the 2 Spells; which are previews from COTD; have the Spell sphere foil. The XYZs don't have their ranks and attributes foils because they are re-prints. The new foil type has been present in the OCG since the first VRains product, so it is clear it is a "foil update" that will be introduced with COTD for the TCG as well, and was teased with these 2 preview cards.Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 13:46, June 16, 2017 (UTC)
Ah, interesting. For some reason, I didn't realize there was an update on the rarities. Thanks! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:56, June 16, 2017 (UTC)

Marking images for deletion[edit]

Whenever you mark images for deletion, never forget to put the reason.

{{Delete|reason=Replaced by [[File:ElementalHEROCaptainGold-DP06-KR-C-UE.png|PNG]]}}

Follow the example above. IgorThunderMaster (talkcontribs) 04:08, July 6, 2017 (UTC)

Sorry about that; thought that since all had their OCG|TCG name tag the Admin who would delete them would see there the link to the used PNG. And I was running out of time, so a quick Delete was faster before I had to turn off the PC. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:04, July 6, 2017 (UTC)
To be fair, you don't need to use a reason. It's good practices to do so. In this particular case, the template already points to the duplicate image, so it's not a big deal. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:32, July 6, 2017 (UTC)

20AP-2[edit]

Hi again. Regarding this: The card images from 20th Anniversary Pack 2nd Wave need to have | set = 20AP-2 in order for the template to point to the correct set. Else, the template will point to the 1st Wave. Don't worry, I should be able to add it to the images with my bot. But letting you know, for the next time. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:54, July 6, 2017 (UTC)

Or better: since you haven't uploaded them all, just enter that parameter on the next uploads for the 2nd Wave, please. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:56, July 6, 2017 (UTC)

Darn it, didn't saw your message until now that I am 20 pictures in. I saw the Dark Magician had that, but it appeared in red letters as a template or something; that is why I am not doing so for the rest. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:08, July 6, 2017 (UTC)
Don't worry too much. I've added it until "Tour Guide From the Underworld". Just add it to the following ones, please, and the ones you keep uploading. The template was red because it didn't exist, but I've taken care of that already. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:13, July 6, 2017 (UTC)
Yup, saw that, I'm adding it for the following uploads now. Didn't realized it needed an extra line, but it is obvious now that I think about it because the two sets have the same prefix and all (same set, but in two different packs, crazy stuff). Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:15, July 6, 2017 (UTC)
Mmmm, Becasita, is there an issue with Emergency teleport? It placed the yellow square in the page http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/File:EmergencyTeleport-20AP-KR-NPR-1E.png But the OCG|TCG square is fine as usual, but click the GALLERY for the card, and it is weird, but none of the language sections have the card's name on display, is this an overlooked issue? Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:51, July 6, 2017 (UTC)
That was because SMW issues. The template was not detecting the page, so it was saying the page didn't exist. Usually, null editing the card page and then the image solves it. Done, now.
Once again, thank you for the images! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:06, July 7, 2017 (UTC)

MACR UE gallery[edit]

Hi Erdvilla. Regarding this gallery, you say «Released in Korea, thou the 1st Edition boxes and booster don't have the "1st Edition" on them, so they look the same on the outside.». Do you have any evidence an Unlimited Edition exists? Because, since there are no pics and the boxes for the 1st Edition don't say "1st Edition", then it's not conclusive there is an Unlimited Edition. Do you have any other thing to back this gallery up? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:15, July 19, 2017 (UTC)

It has been that way in the pass. After 1 month the Unlimited boosters start appearing in the market; but yes, there is no other concrete evidence, so you could delete the gallery until someone appears with an UE card /which can take longer because sellers would prefer selling their 1E stock before resupplying with UE boxes). Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 13:56, July 19, 2017 (UTC)
Well, we had lots of Unlimited Edition galleries that I've been cleaning and lots of them were never released. It may be the usual procedure In Korea, but, since we have no tangible proof, I'll delete the gallery for now, until we can find an explicit evidence of its existence. If you do find an evidence, let me (or any admin) know, so we can undelete the page. Hope you understand, thanks! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:47, July 19, 2017 (UTC)
Yup, no problem at all. It is weird that they decided removing the "1st Edition" from the packs; don't know what is the logic behind that, when they had been consistent with it in the past. Maybe to "award" early buyers because they would be the only ones 100% sure their cards will be 1st Edition, because after a month it'll be random :P Or maybe they'll only print UE if the 1E sells out (which they have done with some SPacks, but again the 1st Edition had the legend on them). Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 15:13, July 19, 2017 (UTC)

KR info[edit]

Hi! Just a heads-up: it's supposed to be like this. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:39, August 18, 2017 (UTC)

Just for the Sets? Because for the names if I wrote 'kr' it wouldn't show up, that is why I put 'ko' on everything. But iff you tell me the name and lore goes with ko but the sets go with kr, then I'll do it like that next time; but so far only for some few cards I had to add the set, because nearly all of them have them already. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 18:46, August 18, 2017 (UTC)
On the names/lores, it's "ko". For languages, use the ISO 639-1 codes (you can see it on our template {{ISO 639}}).
For the sets, we use what we call region codes (see {{Rg}}).
So yeah, for sets would be "kr", for names/lore would be "ko". Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:06, August 18, 2017 (UTC)
Understood. Good I only did it for less than 10 cards. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 21:38, August 18, 2017 (UTC)

Mos[edit]

Hi! When writing prose, please go by the guidelines on the manual of style. For instance. "TCG" and "OCG" should be italicized (e.g.). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:54, August 25, 2017 (UTC)

Ok, they weren't there, but they should. So, my bad. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:58, August 25, 2017 (UTC)

Sorry about that, when on the reduced keyboard on the laptop (like now) it is a bit harder to input several of the characters needed and usually other editors fill that up right away. But I'll make sure to use the proper style and copy paste the symbols, hehe. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 00:03, August 26, 2017 (UTC)

can you finish other show yugioh anime character and location please? 16:55, August 28, 2017 (UTC)~

Names and lores[edit]

Hi Erd. Thanks for adding the missing Spanish info to card pages. If you're copypasting from the database, please consider taking a moment to add the missing names and lores from other languages as well. You don't have to, of course, but it would only take a few extra seconds, and since you're already editing the pages it would be a big help.--Golden Key (talkcontribs) 14:01, December 20, 2017 (UTC)

I've been thinking about doing so, even just adding the empty language tags (to be filled easier later) but believe me; I'd get confused and end up screwing some of the entries by putting some text in the wrong language and such :P This is why I focus on a language at a time (I do put the empty language tags "|name lang = " "|lore lang = ") on entries were only the Japanese is present, because I also do the entries for Korean which is usually the 2nd language to be input so I take that chance to place the complete empty tags in order, making it easier for future editors, even myself.
Right now I've finished with Spanish. So I am thinking which language to take on next; I think I'll go for FR or IT, because I constantly receive notifications of DE and PT entries; so there are active users working on those, but never for FR and IT, so I'll take on those. And as I said I prefer 1 at a time so I can focus completely on it. First checking every single card list to see if there are blanks, writing them down and then doing the actual adding. --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:14, December 20, 2017 (UTC)
I'd noticed a few pages had blank language tags, which did indeed speed up the process. I didn't know it was you who added them, so thanks for that as well. We actually have pages that show all of the cards with missing names and lores, so you don't have to search or write things out manually. I open the database links in separate tabs, then copy each name over first, then the lores. It's somewhat preferred that we make as few edits to a page as necessary, so adding multiple names and lores at once is ideal. But again, do what works best for you. :) --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 14:35, December 20, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, how about I merge my FR work with IT as well? As I said, the DE and PT have active editors atm, so I think it'll be best not to meddle with their work. But FR and IT are mostly inactive. So I'll tackle both at the same time.--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:46, December 20, 2017 (UTC)
I often skip PT if I can't find a site to copy-paste from, so it's fine if you don't want to do that one either. Since the DE stuff is actually in the official database along with FR, IT, and SP, I just think it's faster to add it all rather than wait for other editors. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 15:28, December 20, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, I'll try. Still, right now I entered lazy-mode again, so I'll start once I have free time and are motivated :P--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 15:49, December 20, 2017 (UTC)
I'll definitely add the DE stuff to my current run; I already checked the Main Set line and it has the highest completion percentage of all others, with only COTD and CIBR missing names, so it won't add too much workload to the naming process. Yeah the PT stuff I think is the one that really needs a single focus because of all the sets they skipped; which made a lot of cards not available in PT. But maybe I'll work on PT after I am done with the tri FR-IT-DE stuff.
I might start this afternoon or tomorrow. Now I am re-motivated XD--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:14, December 20, 2017 (UTC)

Converted to Set list[edit]

It would not only be fine, it would be appreciated! Some people have already started, but it's a big task to do it all.
Side note, but when adding names, please add them to the page in the order of the language name, not the abbreviation. For example, French comes before German, so fr_ comes before de_, etc. The only exception is jp_name, which comes last. Thanks again! --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:14, December 24, 2017 (UTC)
Ok. Good, I'll start it as another side project.
I know the order of the language tags (my copy paste macro is in the "fr, de, it, ko, pt, sp" order). So I place them like that when adding new entries, but once other tags are present I try to place them in their correct spot, even if the others are already in the wrong order; this is why I personally add the empty tags when doing the Korean ones, so the order is neat and clean, ready for other additions. But the older ones, well lets say it is discouraging to try arranging them all, so as I said, I simply add the new ones in the correct order.
Maybe some day I'll again do a revisit to order them, but no promises there; it is basically a "look at all the cards" task (which I would combine with a final add of lore). But that is just a bug in the back of my head, too much work to consider it atm. Once I am done with the current naming task and red numbers I'll consider it more seriously.

--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 18:58, December 24, 2017 (UTC)

Not sure about the tokens myself. Try asking Becasita. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 23:19, December 24, 2017 (UTC)

Hey Erdvilla, great job on the Metal Raiders set galleries, I just wanted you to know that there are some Reprint Galleries, that will be need to be fused, MRL, PSV and LON, anyways take care and keep up the fantastic workLeafGreen Ranger (talkcontribs) 02:49, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

I converted the Set list for MRD, not the galleries, but I guess with the lists converted it was simpler to convert the galleries. I tend not to convert galleries with too many jpgs. X-Metaman was who converted them. --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 03:09, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

Magazine promotional card renames[edit]

Can you rename these pages for me?

I got those dates from here: http:// yugiohplanet.forum community.net/?t=42445364 (The spam filter won't let me post the link without spaces.)

But looking closer at the covers, the first one says "November/December 2010" and the second says "December 2010" (just above the barcodes). So now, I'm not sure. It's probably safer and maybe better to just use the issue numbers instead. Lucil (talkcontribs) 15:59, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

Maybe that was discussed already and they were left as is. You could try asking on Discord, so the Admins can provide better insight on it. And if a rename is really needed then there they would do it right away.--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:25, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
I created the two pages today and decided on the current names myself. Then changed my mind minutes later after re-checking the facts. I doubt someone else privately discussed the page names in that space of time and decided to use my original names. But it's okay if you're not comfortable moving them. I'll ask an admin later, if so. Thank you anyway. Lucil (talkcontribs) 18:18, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
Based on those images, I would say yes, the renames would be fine. There's no other language we could check them against anyway, given that its exclusive to Italy. I wasn't aware there was an official magazine in Italian. That's pretty cool. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 14:44, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
