• This card was known as "Maldición del Dragón" and "Hechizo del Dragón" in the Anime's Spanish version.

Miscellaneous

• This monster's attack is known as Hell Flame in the Anime's Japanese version & Manga and Dragon Flame in the Anime's English version and Japanese version.

Duelist Kingdom

• When Yugi duels with Weevil Underwood, Yugi equips this monster with "Burning Land" to burn away the forest field and reduce the DEF of Weevil's "Cocoon of Evolution" to the original state. Later, Yugi fuses it with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yugi duels with Mako Tsunami, Yugi again equips this monster with "Burning Land". Yugi then uses this card to destroy Mako's WATER monsters ("Great White Terror", "Fiend Kraken", "Jellyfish" and "Kairyu-Shin") via "Burning Land"'s effect, winning Yugi the duel.

• When Yugi duels against Kaiba's Imposter (either Ventriloquist of the Dead in the manga or Ghost Kaiba in the anime), Yugi summons this monster in Defense Position, but the Imposter forces this card into Attack Position via "Defense Paralysis". This card is then destroyed by the Imposter's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

• When Yugi duels against PaniK, Yugi summons this monster in Defense Position. Later, PaniK's "King of Yamimakai" tries to destroy this monster but attacks and destroys PaniK's "Reaper of the Cards" (trapped earlier by Yugi's "Spellbinding Circle") because the light from the trap draws the attack of "King of Yamimakai". Later, Yugi fuses it with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yugi duels against Seto Kaiba a second time, Yugi summons this monster and destroys Kaiba's "Ryu-Kishin Powered" then Kaiba's "Swordstalker" (who powers up by its own effect) attacks this monster, but Yugi uses "Monster Replace" to return this card to his hand and summon "Dark Magician" in its place. Yugi summons this card back to the field after his "Dark Magician" destroys Kaiba's "Swordstalker". Later, this monster is destroyed when the attack of "Dark Magician" bounces off of Kaiba's "Ancient Lamp" and hits this card instead.

• When Yugi duels Joey Wheeler, Yugi summons this monster. Yugi then fuses this monster with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yugi duels Maximillion Pegasus, Yugi uses this card. After Pegasus brought their duel into the Shadow Realm, Yugi Muto summons this monster, but his mind was starting to weaken from the stress of dueling while in the Shadow Realm so Yami Yugi takes over. Yami then has this monster attack Pegasus' "Dark-Eyes Illusionist" which triggers the effect of "Dark-Eyes Illusionist" of rendering this monster incapable of attacking. Later, Pegasus absorbs this monster with "Relinquished" and this in turn turns this card into a Equip Card for "Relinquished". "Dark Magician" then attacks Relinquished, but Relinquished then uses this monster as a shield and has it take the hit instead, destroying it.

• When Shadi and Yugi Muto wander through Yami Yugi's mind, this monster is seen within a Stone Slab.

• During the virtual duel against The Big Five, Yugi summons this card along with Seto Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", Joey Wheeler's "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" and Mai Valentine's "Harpie's Pet Dragon" since only Dragon-type cards could attack in the final level against the Big Five's "Mythic Dragon". All five Dragons attack, but due to "Mythic Dragon"'s effect, the attacks are canceled out. Later, Yugi tributes it and "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Black Luster Ritual" to ritual summon "Black Luster Soldier".

Battle City

• When Yugi duels with Bandit Keith (under Marik Ishtar's control), Yugi summons this monster. He then fuses it with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yugi duels with Johnny Steps, Yugi summons this monster to destroy Johnny's "Water Omotics". Later this card attacks "Musician King", but Johnny activates Metalmorph and equips it to "Musician King", increasing its ATK and DEF by 300. This causes the attack to backfire, destroying this card.

Virtual World

• When Yugi and his friends encounter Gozaburo Kaiba's chess-like monsters, Yugi summons this monster to fight and destroy several of the monsters created by Gozaburo. This card saves Serenity by destroying the "Lizard Soldier" that was about to attack her. Later, this card is destroyed by Gozaburo's "Cosmo Queen".

Waking the Dragons

• When Yami Yugi duels against Weevil Underwood (under Dartz's influence), this card is briefly seen when Yugi fuses it with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

Grand Championship

• This card is one of the seven Dragon monsters Yugi draws with "Heart of the Underdog"'s effect during his duel against the KC DuelTek 760. Yugi later discards it and the other Dragon-type Normal Monsters that he drew with "Heart of the Underdog"'s effect, so that "Spirit Ryu" would gain 1000 ATK for each Dragon discarded.

• When Yugi duels against Leon von Schroeder, Yugi sends this card along with "Kuriboh", "Old Vindictive Magician", "Giant Soldier of Stone" and "Big Shield Gardna" from his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Royal Straight Slasher".

Dawn of the Duel

• When Yugi Muto duels against Pharaoh Atem (Yami Yugi), Yugi summons this monster after tributing "Watapon". Yugi then has "Summoned Skull" attack Atem's "Big Shield Gardna" with the attack failing due to "Big Shield Gardna"'s DEF being higher. However this activates "Big Shield Gardna's effect, switching it into Attack Position. Yugi then has this card destroy "Big Shield Gardna". Later, Yugi switches this monster to Defense Position. Atem's "Dark Magician" (equipped with "Book of Secret Arts") then destroys this monster.
