"Ancient Fairy Dragon":

"Ancient Fairy Dragon" was taken captive by the "Earthbound Immortals", after their battle with the Signer Dragons and the "Crimson Dragon".

As a little girl, Luna was sent to the Duel Monsters Spirit World. Here "Ancient Fairy Dragon" watched over her.

At the age of 11, Luna returns to the Spirit's world. She encounters "Ancient Fairy Dragon" in the "Ancient Forest", which has been destroyed by Professor Frank, and the dragon is sealed in a crag. When Luna regains her free will, the dragon breaks free and attempts to destroy Frank, whose presence causes the forest to degrade.

In the Japanese version, this monster's attack name is "Eternal Sunshine" (エターナル・サンシャイン) and Field destroying effect name is "Plain Back" (プレイン・バック).

While summoning this card, Luna chants "The holy light of protection, shine now and become eternal life! Synchro Summon! A regal birth, Ancient Fairy Dragon!".

This monster appears in the 2nd intro and ending, 3rd ending, 4th Opening and Ending, and 5th Opening and Ending.

In episode 47, Devack holds this card up to Luna. He then tells Luna she will have to Duel him, if she wants to get this card back. When Luna enters the Spirit World, she sees the "Ancient Fairy Dragon" locked in a cage.

In episode 50, Devack Summoned this with "Cursed Prison". Luna didn't attack it while she had the chance as she predicted Devack would Tribute it for "Earthbound Immortal Cusillu's" effect. When he did, Luna used "Respect Synchron" to take control of "Ancient Fairy Dragon". She managed to use it and "Power Tool Dragon" to defeat the "Earthbound Immortal" and Devack.

When Luna plays "Respect Synchron", the monster she chooses is "Ancient Fairy Dragon". "Ancient Fairy Dragon"'s effect is activated, destroying "Closed Forest" and it delivers the final blow, destroying "Earthbound Immortal Cusillu".

In episode 78, Luna summoned this card in her Turbo Duel against Lester, but later it becomes an Equip Card to equip "Meklord Emperor Skiel". Later, Leo uses "Power Break" to send "Ancient Fairy" back to Luna's Extra Deck. After that she removes it from play with "Ancient Sunshine".

in episode 142, Leo Special Summons this card on Luna's field with Double Ripple during Jack's, Leo's and Luna's battle against Aporia.

In episode 148, Luna gives this card to Yusei to use during his battle against Z-one. It was the fourth signer dragon he summoned. In episode 150, he Tunes this with, "Black Feather Dragon", "Red Dragon Archfiend", "Black Rose Dragon", and "Life Stream Dragon" to Limit Over Accel Synchro Summon "Shooting Quasar Dragon". In episode 151, this monster briefly attacks one of the Temporal Machine Gods.
