"Elemental Lord", known as "Spirit God" (
The "Elemental Lords" all share three peculiarities; the Summon condition: "Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having exactly 5 [corresponding Attribute] monsters in your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.", the effect: "If this card leaves the field, you cannot conduct your next turn's Battle Phase.", and a variable effect that triggers upon the monster's Special Summon.
In each artwork of the "Elemental Lords", they all have in common appearance, which they are all mystical armors possessed by a specific elemental spirit that all have multiple lightning strikes in their backgrounds.
Three monsters in this series were released so far: "Grandsoil the Elemental Lord" (EARTH), "Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord" (WATER) and "Pyrorex the Elemental Lord" (FIRE).
Trivia
- The Trigger Effects of "Elemental Lords" seem to be upgraded versions of the "Spirit Art" cards of the corresponding Attribute.
- The effect of "Kurogane" Special Summons a Level 4 or lower EARTH monster from your Graveyard, while the effect of "Grandsoil" Special Summons any monster from either Graveyard.
- The effect of "Aoi" reveals your opponent's hand and sends a card from there to the Graveyard, while the effect of "Moulinglacia" discards 2 random cards from your opponent's hand.
- The effect of "Kurenai" requires you to Tribute a FIRE monster, and it inflict damage only to the opponent, while the effect of "Pyrorex" destroys an opponent's monster and inflicts damage to both players.
- Their Trigger Effects can also be seen as mirroring the effects of powerful Spell and Trap Cards from the game's past that were Forbidden at least once.
- The effect of "Grandsoil" is an exact replica of "Monster Reborn".
- The effect of "Moulinglacia" is a more powerful version of "Delinquent Duo".
- The effect of "Pyrorex" is a weakened version of "Ring of Destruction".
- The attributes of the Lords all seem to coincide with the pack they were released in. Return of the Duelist has a large amount of EARTH monsters, Abyss Rising has a large amount of WATER monsters, and Cosmo Blazar is heavily based around FIRE monsters.
- Each Lord is named in a different language. "Grandsoil" in English, "Moulinglacia" in French and "Pyrorex" in Latin.
