• This card was known as "Maldición del Dragón" and "Hechizo del Dragón" in the Anime's Spanish version.

Miscellaneous

• This monster's attack is known as Hell Flame in the Anime's Japanese version as well as the Manga and Dragon Flame in the Anime's English version and original Japanese version.

Duelist Kingdom

• When Yugi Muto duels with Weevil Underwood, Yugi equips this monster with "Burning Land" to burn away the forest field and reduce the Defense Points of Weevil's "Cocoon of Evolution" to the original state. Later, Yugi uses "Polymerization" to fuse this monster with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" together to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yami Yugi duels with Mako Tsunami, Yugi again equips this monster with "Burning Land" then uses it to destroy Mako's WATER monsters ("Great White Terror", "Fiend Kraken", "Jellyfish" and "Kairyu-Shin"), winning Yugi the duel.

• When Yami Yugi duels against Kaiba's imposter (either Ventriloquist of the Dead in the manga or Ghost Kaiba in the anime), Yugi summons this monster in Defense Position but "Kaiba" activates "Defense Paralysis" to force this monster into Attack Position. This monster is then destroyed by the imposter's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

• When Yami Yugi duels against PaniK, Yugi summons this monster in Defense Position. Later, PaniK's "King of Yamimakai" tries to destroy this monster but attacks and destroys PaniK's "Reaper of the Cards" (trapped earlier by Yugi's "Spellbinding Circle") because the light from the trap draws the attack of "King of Yamimakai". Later, Yugi activates "Polymerization" to fuse it with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• During Yami Yugi's second duel against Seto Kaiba, Yugi summons this monster and destroys Kaiba's "Ryu-Kishin Powered" then Kaiba's "Swordstalker" (powered up by its own effect) attacks this monster but Yugi uses "Monster Replace" to return this card to his Hand and summon "Dark Magician" as a placeholder. After his "Dark Magician" destroys Kaiba's "Swordstalker", Yugi summons this card back to the Field. Later, this monster is destroyed when the attack of Yugi's "Dark Magician" bounces off of Kaiba's "Ancient Lamp" and hits this card instead.

• During Yugi Muto's duel against Joey Wheeler, Yugi summons this monster. Yugi then uses "Polymerization" to fuse this monster with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• During Yugi's final duel with Maximillion Pegasus, this card appears. After Pegasus brought his and Yugi's duel into the Shadow Realm, Yugi Muto summons this monster but his mind starts to weaken from the stress of dueling while in the Shadow Realm so Yami Yugi takes over then he impulsively has this monster attack Pegasus' "Dark-Eyes Illusionist" which triggers its effect of rendering this monster incapable of attacking while Pegasus' "Relinquished" absorbs this monster which turns this monster into equipment. When Yugi's "Dark Magician" attacks Pegasus' "Relinquished" the latter uses this monster as a shield and has it take the hit instead, destroying it.

• When Shadi and Yugi Muto wander through Yami Yugi's mind, this monster is seen within a Stone Slab.

• While dueling against the Big Five, Yami Yugi summons this monster along with Seto Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", Joey Wheeler's "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" and Mai Valentine's "Harpie's Pet Dragon" since only Dragon-type cards could attack in the final level against the Big Five's "Mythic Dragon". All five Dragons then attack the Big Five's "Mythic Dragon" but their attacks are canceled out. After Joey is defeated, Yugi activates "Black Luster Ritual" to tribute this monster and "Gaia the Fierce Knight" to ritual summon "Black Luster Soldier".

Battle City

• When Yugi Muto duels with Bandit Keith (under Marik Ishtar's control), Yugi summons this monster. He then uses "Polymerization" to fuses it with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yami Yugi duels with Johnny Steps, Yugi summons this monster to destroy Johnny's "Water Omotics". Later this card attacks Johnny's "Musician King" but Johnny activates "Metalmorph" to equip onto "Musician King" to increases his card's ATK and DEF by 300 which causes the attack to backfire, destroying this monster.

Virtual World

• While encountering Gozaburo Kaiba's chess-like monsters, Yugi Muto summons this monster to fight and destroy several of Gozaburo's monsters. This card saves Serenity by destroying the "Lizard Soldier" that was about to attack her. Later, this card is destroyed by Gozaburo's "Cosmo Queen".

Battle City Finals

• When Yami Yugi duels against Yami Marik, this monster is briefly seen when Yugi activates "Ragnarok" to destroy Marik while merged with "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

Waking the Dragons

• When Yami Yugi duels against Weevil Underwood (under Dartz's influence), this card is briefly seen when Yugi fuses uses "Polymerization" to fuses it with "Gaia the Fierce Knight" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

Grand Championship

• This card is one of the seven Dragon monsters Yugi draws with "Heart of the Underdog"'s effect during his duel against the KC DuelTek 760. Yugi later discards it and the other Dragon-type Normal Monsters that he drew with "Heart of the Underdog"'s effect, so that "Spirit Ryu" would gain 1000 ATK for each Dragon discarded.

• When Yugi Muto duels against Leon, Yugi sends this card along with "Kuriboh", "Old Vindictive Magician", "Giant Soldier of Stone" and "Big Shield Gardna" from his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the effect of his "Royal Straight Slasher".

Dawn of the Duel

• When Yugi Muto duels against Pharaoh Atem (Yami Yugi), Yugi summons this monster after tributing "Watapon". After Yugi's "Summoned Skull" attack Atem's "Big Shield Gardna" with the attack failing due to the latter's Defense Points being higher but activates the effect of "Big Shield Gardna" of switching it into Attack Position, this card destroys "Big Shield Gardna". On the next turn, Yugi switches this monster to Defense Position then Atem's "Dark Magician" (equipped with "Book of Secret Arts") destroys this monster.
