Gaia Knight, known as "Knight Gaia" (ガイア Kishi Gaia) in Japanese, is a series of monsters with various Attributes (primarily EARTH and WIND) and Types (primarily Dragon and Warrior) that are upgraded counterparts of "Gaia The Fierce Knight". With the exception of "Gaia, the Mid-Knight Sun" and "Gaia, the Polar Knight", this series consists of Extra Deck monsters of which almost all of them were released in the early stages of a new era to promote a new type of Summoning mechanic, beginning with "Gaia the Dragon Champion" in Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, one of the first Fusion Monsters to be released.

Although this series is not a part of the "Gaia The Fierce Knight" archetype, it is thematically related to it.

"Gaia Drake, the Universal Force" appears as a character in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus.
