Card Trivia:Horned Saurus
Revision as of 06:58, 8 March 2024 by SnorlaxMonster (talk | contribs) (Extra Deck monsters is a superset of Fusion Monsters)
- The required Types for this monster's Fusion Material in the OCG/TCG references how the Japanese words of Dinosaur and Dragon contain the kanji for "dragon" (竜 ryū).
- This also references Rex Raptor, whose Japanese name, "Dinosaur Ryuzaki" contains the kanji ryū and uses a Dinosaur/Dragon Deck in the Waking the Dragons arc in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.
- This monster's OCG/TCG effect to place a Field Spell Card into the Field Zone is designed to avoid the negative drawbacks of "The Seal of Orichalcos", which includes destroying the player's Special Summoned monsters when activated and activating the card once per Duel.
- This references this monster's appearance in Yu-Gi-Oh! episode On the Wrong Track - Part 2" when it was 161: "Fusion Summoned by Rex Raptor while controlling "The Seal of Orichalcos". Notably, Rex Raptor is the only character who performed a Fusion Summon while he controlled "The Seal of Orichalcos".
- This monster has the longest OCG import time of all Extra Deck monsters, released nearly 20 years after its first appearance in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime on June 24, 2003.
