  • This card's name is a pun on Terabyte, which is equal to 1024 Gigabytes.
    • This may be why it's "No. 34", with "1 + 0 + 2" = "3", then leaving the "4" to make "34", or just "10 + 24" = "34".
    • Coincidentally, the digits of this card's number also contain the numbers to its first debut as this card first appears in Episode 3 and Episode 4 of "Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL".
    • Terror-byte's number may be a reference to Internet Rule 34("If it exists, there is porn of it, no exceptions."). Terror-byte is a computer virus, and it is commonly said that if you download porn your computer will be infected by a computer virus.
  • The number 34 can be seen on this card's right shoulder plate.
  • This card is the first card of the "Number" archetypes, and the first card of the ZEXAL series, that possessed two different artworks (one version in the Generation Force expansion, and another version with a different artwork in the V-Jump).
  • "Numbers" take the form something their original owner desires; in the care of Mr. Kay it is to hack the city and create a giant Virtual "Crashbug." The result is a Machine-Type monster who can take control of your opponent's monsters (reference to hacking) and works well with the "Crashbug" Archetype. Also, Mr. Kay didn't wish to do any real harm, which was represented by this monster not having any ATK points and returning the monsters it steals.
  • This is the first "Number" monster to require three Xyz Materials.
  • In anime, when this card removes an Xyz Material, it absorbs the Xyz Material through its horn. It also uses its tail to take control of its opponent's monsters.
  • Currently, this card has the lowest ATK of all "Number" monsters.
  • The initial form of this monster is a strange cubic object made of its armor. When it transforms, the armor spreads out as the machinery inside extends to create "Terror-Byte".
