- This card is the Cover Card for Magic Ruler and Spell Ruler.
- In several Yu-Gi-Oh! games, this monster's Millennium Eye symbol is red, when in reality it is yellow.
- "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" which uses this card as Fusion Material, was the first Fusion/Effect monster released.
- In the OCG, "Relinquished" and its Ritual Spell Card, "Black Illusion Ritual", have never been released together in the same booster pack.
- There is a misprinted Italian version of "Relinquished" called "Abbbandono". This card's real Italian name is "Abbandono".
- This card lore does not state that it needs "Black Illusion Ritual" to summon it. The main reason is most likely the insufficient amount of text left to introduce the standard specification for a Ritual Summon.
- This card, "Magician of Black Chaos" and "Black Luster Soldier" are the only Ritual Monsters to be Cover Cards.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards, this monster was a DIVINE Attribute monster instead of DARK.
- This card has the lowest Level, ATK, and DEF of any Ritual Monster in the TCG and OCG.
- This card, "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" and "Destiny HERO - Plasma" are the only cards in the TCG and OCG that can equip a face-down monster as an Equip Card.
- However, the ATK and DEF of that monster will be treated as 0 and will not add to either stat.
