Mieru is a Lancer?

Kind of curious here. Was Mieru a candidate for the "Lancers" because she is one of the survivors of when the Fusion Dimension attacked the tournament. She's present when Yuya angrily faces Declan about becoming a Lancer. --ReshiramArc1255 (talk • contribs) 23:46, April 5, 2015 (UTC)

I wouldn't say that Zuzu or Sora are "unofficial" Lancers, just allies to the Lancers' cause. And for Sora, that's not really the case; he just wants to protect Zuzu (and possibly the friends he made) at a minimum. Zuzu is considered a Lancer by Declan and the Council. As for Sora, he's not considered one, but he does work with them, as do Crow and Tokumatsu, so they're considered allies. --Jackpo21 (talk • contribs) 23:34, February 11, 2016 (UTC)

What the Council thinks means nothing and Reiji never said she was a Lancer. The page has no need for a list of allies/potential Lancers. If it gets re-added, I will lock the page, unless you can bring for a better argument. Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 01:44, February 12, 2016 (UTC)

All right, in regards to the edit war, begin discussion here.

I'm sorry for the edit war, but when DragonEmperor didn't give a reason for undoing my edits and when no one messaged me to stop or discuss it, I wasn't sure what else to do except wait for someone to notice what was going on. But the edits I made wasn't anything like when I labeled Yuzu as an unofficial lancer. I edited the preferred summoning mechanics because listing every summoning Reiji, Yuya, Reira, and Dennis can do was unnecessary, and so was listing tribute summon for the ninja characters because they don't have a preferred summoning. I also edited Serena's status as unknown because we don't know for sure if she and Barret ended up back in Fusion. It looked liked he pressed Xyz on his duel disk instead, but since it hasn't been confirmed yet, that's why I left it like that. --Jackpo21 (talk • contribs) 00:40, May 6, 2016 (UTC)

Great, a no show. That'll make it hard to resolve this. But I do see your points, and raise my own.

In terms of Summoning, Declan, Yuya and Riley are all very different. Declan doesn't specialize, Riley doesn't specialize but doesn't have access to Pendulums and Yuya specializes in Pendulum but can access all of the others. As for Celina, regardless she ended up captured, whether it's in Fusion or Xyz since she could still barely move. Sanokal K-T (talk • contribs) 01:14, May 6, 2016 (UTC)

I put the Summoning methods back because Declan uses Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, & Pendulum while Riley uses the first three. Even though the ninja brothers don't use any of the pro Summoning methods, Tribute Summon is still a method that was used a lot in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. As for Dennis and Celina, they were sent back to Duel Academy and should included since they are Lancers. DragonEmeperor (talk • contribs) 02:12, May 6, 2016 (UTC)

But the summoning methods are to meant to emphasize their specific style of dueling. Just because Yuya can use all of the summoning styles, doesn't mean he uses them all the time, aside from Pendulum. Which is also why I removed the Tribute summon for Tsukikage and Hikage, because tribute summoning doesn't count. It doesn't matter if it's a Special Summon or not. Fact is, Tribute Summoning is a method of summon monsters, one that is practised and specialised in. And Moon/Sun Shadow are practitioners of it. If you want everyone else's listed, then there is no reason not to list their's -just- because you wanted to add an arbitrary rule set to it which has not been mentioned until you brought it up. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm trying to say is that the list should mention the extra deck summons each Lancer uses. If one of them doesn't specialized in one, it should left as none. You know? Support. It can be subjective and it's not a really important thing, I guess. We can find info about the Summon methods they use (and the one they use the most) on their individual pages, nonetheless. We can find the rest of the info their pages as well, but gathering it here is better to compare them, where they are/come from, etc.. Their preferred Summoning method is not as objective and can lead to discussion like this.

The Lancers (ランサーズ Ransāzu), short for Lance Defence Soldiers (ランス・ディフェンス・ソルジャーズ Ransu Difensu Sorujāzu),[1] are an organization of Duelists affiliated with the Standard Dimension that were organized by Declan Akaba in order to fight against invaders from other dimensions.The Lancers are Consider Enemy of Duel Academy (ARC-V) as said by Leo Akaba that The lancers are a threat to his Area Arc Project and sends the tyler twins to the Xyz Dimension.

Yusho a Candidate
