Yes.

It is written in the official website :entertainment.upperdeck.com/yugioh/en,written in the individual rulings of every card. However, the TCG rulings don't have links or sources, unlike the OCG rulings of this wikia.PoirotH 04:34, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: empty parameters

Parser functions should be excluded from substitute templates when possibe. In this case, adding causes to appear in the output. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:43, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

The Duplicate Templates

They're separate for a good reason. I tried to use redirects, too, but the system needs to have them separate to fully parse them. The other Tips, Errata, etc templates, stay as they are, so we can see on the page what needs changing. You could go through the articles, and then change the links over to Mavigation.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 23:57, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

CardTables

Sorry, I'm only after noticing your second message. CardTable is a project that's on hold. It's basically going to be a better version of CardTable2 if it ever gets finished. One of the most notable differences is that it should be able to split up the sets section, so we can automatically add them as SMW Properties and Values in the factbox. Once it's done, we should be able to automatically generate lists of cards filtering them by sets. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:12, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

WC09 Token images

Absolutely. That'd be great. -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:47, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, it's okay. The filename is wrong though. It should be MoonTokenVG-WC09-JP.png Same with other card images from the game, just changing the names and leaving out the spaces. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:13, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Re: Idea for Card Rulings

You're suggesting we transclude rulings into the "Mentions in other Rulings" section from their original rulings page. It seems like a good idea, although the coding is kinda messy.

{{#switch: {}
	| A = If "Peten the Dark Clown" is Tributed for a Tribute Summon, the last thing that happened was that a monster was Summoned, so the effect of "Peten" does not activate.
	| B = If "Peten the Dark Clown" is Tributed for "Mystik Wok" or "Cannon Soldier", the last thing that happened was that those effects resolved, so the effect of "Peten" does not activate.
	| C = If "Peten the Dark Clown" is destroyed in a chain and not as Chain Link 1, his effect does not activate. (Example: "Pot of Greed" is activated and "Ring of Destruction" is chained, targeting "Peten".)
}}<noinclude>Navigation

*
*
* </noinclude>

The above would be another way... although still kinda messy. I'm sure there's a much more efficient way.

I understand the advantages of your suggestion; The rulings would always be the same, which is particularly helpful when changing OCG rulings after an English name has been confirmed. However there are disadvantages... The mentions in other rulings aren't always an exact copy of the original. Unnecessary parts are sometimes cut out and replaced with elipses (...) It would mean effectively turning a vast amount of Card Rulings pages into templates... that doesn't seem advisable. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:06, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Template

The current template fails in comparison to the old one. Many of the names are repeated, many cards are left out as a whole, and the organization is messy. The old one made it obvious which cards were monsters, spells, and traps. It really does look irritating to see one name in the members box, then to see it again in the support box with the spells and traps.

here are the scans

Transcluding MioR and CT2 changes

Sorry, I didn't realise you had left me other messages when you asked me about the autoblock. No, don't change the Mentions in other Rulings. It's too complicated and messy, for something that is otherwise simple. And I've responded to the CardTable2 fixes on its talk page. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:51, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Moving pages

After moving a page, please click "what links here" and correct pages the point to the original title or at least make sure to move the other card information pages (Gallery, Rulings etc.) to the new title too. Thank you. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:51, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Those subpages

I don't think so. TwoTailedFox was really insistant on having them a few months ago, mainly so we could add properties for sets, set numbers and rarities to card articles. Another user and I did try to talk him out of it, as we thought it was overdoing things. I'm not sure if we got a definite "yes, we scrap that project" or not. I did start making another table, that could add such properties, but haven't had much time to finish it. -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:18, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Policies

Hi, I'm new to this wiki. Could you direct me to the policies on this wiki? I seem to be having trouble finding them. Also, are there any admins on the wiki? Thanks. C.ChiamTalk 09:49, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes that's what I meant. I didn't realise that there were so few policies on this wiki. How are admins selected btw? Also, could you help me with my signature? The template doesn't seem to be working as it should. C.ChiamTalk 10:03, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
I know that works, but it creates a lot of unnecessary text which is not allowed on the other wikis I edit. It should simply show up as 09:49 Any idea why it doesn't work? Also, how are admins selected? 10:10, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Excluding entries with the inline function

Summoning::!Nomi should do it, but Wikia have disabled that trick, for some reason. I think they said it was hard on servers. I don't of any other way of doing it. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:27, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Er, I'm mistaken. The ! does work. Summoning::!Nomi will exclude monsters if Nomi is their only value for Summoning. Cards like "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder", which have multiple entries for Summoning still appear. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:23, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

re: card list

the articles are updating into the new format. the old format is to list out the cards, while the new format is to list them under the cardlist page. most english cardlist are already created, so the old english cardlist is deleted. the japanese cardlist are not created yet, so most of the old japan card are not deleted -Lpoi 15:11, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Everything

  • Yes. Card Table is already capable of doing so, (to a small degree) without having to create like a hundred parameters for the sets section. Copy the code from Template:Card Table/Test/Monster to a mainspace article and click "preview" to see. It's far from finished though. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:40, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
    • Mmm, the UtR isn't showing up because it's not finished.
    • Help with it might be okay... but I get the feeling we'd be getting in each other's way and I don't want to rush into this. CardTable2 was rushed into and it's now a hideous mess.
  • A value to state monsters aren't Nomi or Semi-Nomi seems a bit hackish. It's like how some values default to No Entry or Not Present. I'm not particularly fond of those. But hmmm, it may be the only way.
  • You want something like Specific Tuner::{tuner}?

Counting

Yes, if you use Special:Ask, it will give you the number of reults to your query. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:00, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Ah I see. Yes that can be done. You use |format=count. For example:

Ps. Why are you leaving the timestamp out of your signature. You know, if you type four tildes (~~~~) it will produce both your name and timestamp? -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:11, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't if there is any rules on images on card articles the only reason why I've been changing card images lately is because I find that the DR3 images aren't exactly brilliant so I'm changing them for TLM images as they are generally better. --Trivi-AM 18:56, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

The reason why I changed them was because of the rarities I live in England and got an Europe version of WC09 and the 3 cards were in Super not Ultra so I divided them up so that a "editing war" won't occur between Users from Europe and other Users from America/Canada etc. --Trivi-AM 19:52, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Re: ask question again

  •
  • }|{}|PAGENAME}} |?Ruby Text= }}

Either of the above, help with what you're looking for? -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:28, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply. I was away for the last few days and only noticed your message today.
  • First question. You mean if x is a value, it'll return 1? Maybe something like this?:

  • Second question: Very possible. One of its best features in my opinion.

You might also need to add |link=none
In Template:Ic you should then use {} wherever you want the values to be used. {} will be the pagename of the page that uses it.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's episode listing uses it, if you need to see an example.
  • Third question: You could use:

The second section is a space, not a blank. You put whatever you're splitting it by in there.
-- Deltaneos (talk) 10:55, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
I don't know what you mean... -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:56, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
You want to use #ask to get a list of values for one property from ne article, then apply the same template to each value individually, correct?
Yes, looking back my answer wouldn't work in this situation.
Hmm SMW doesn't seem to have many options for when there's multiple values for one property. Here's one messy way of getting around it:

German Archetype Name

Hello. Can you take a look at this?, the german name for the archetype seems messed up. Thank's in advance.--Hydronic (talkcontribs) 22:58, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

"roid" vs. "Roid"

Hi. I see you've been changing "roid" to "Roid" on the card pages. The archetype name is actually "roid", not "Roid", so it's preferable to have it as "roid" there. And I'd like to ask you to go through your contributions and revert your changes, please. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:28, November 20, 2016 (UTC)

Point me to a page where it's not working as it should, please.
Regardless, should work with "roid". You see, we're experiencing several problems with SMW. It has been really unstable since the update. The problem goes from there, I'd bet. So, again, "roid" should be used. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:42, November 20, 2016 (UTC)
"Necroid Synchro" wasn't appearing in queries, is that what you mean? If that's the case and you were viewing a query in a page containing it (not directly on Special:Ask), it wasn't displaying there mostlikely due to caching matters; you'd need to null edit the page containing the query. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:55, November 20, 2016 (UTC)
Even if that problem is with the template, that's where it should be fixed; not changing all "roid" to "Roid". I'll look into it, but I'd bet on glitchy SMW. Take "Speedroid", for instance. It's also broken, but the template looks fine to me. I'll look into it, to see what may be wrong with the lower/upcase thing. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:14, November 20, 2016 (UTC)
I think it might be a problem with SMW. For instance, Infobox archseries uses to check through SMW if there are lists for the members, the support and the anti-support for the acrhetype/series. If there are, show them. Simply, it's like that. The problem here could be that it would be checking through SMW if there are "Roid" members/support/anti-support. If that would be the case, then it wouldn't be displaying it, like you supposed to (hence why you decided to change the instances to "Roid"). However, if you go to Special:Browse/roid, you can see that it's storing the English name, and such, as "roid". Now, the way it stores the English name is through again. Besides, the page "roid" is displaying the list for the members, which uses the exact same "search-to-display" system as the support page. So I'd bet again on glitchy SMW. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:44, November 20, 2016 (UTC)
Check this and this. Before the SMW update, the pages were fine. And I can't find anything significant that may also have been changed that would break the pages. I may be wrong, though. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:50, November 20, 2016 (UTC)
