OCG Rulings

• The "If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand)." effect is not treated as an Ignition, Trigger, Quick or Continuous Effect. (Special Summonig this card using this effect does not start a Chain Link.)

• The "If Summoned this way: You can Special Summon 1 Level 8 Sea Serpent-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard, but its ATK and DEF each become 0." effect is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target.)

• When this effect resolves, Special Summoning 1 Level 8 Sea Serpent-Type monster is considered to be the last thing to happen. ("its ATK and DEF each become 0." is also applied immediately.)

• The "If this card is Special Summoned, its Level becomes 4 and its original ATK becomes 0." effect is not treated as an Ignition, Trigger, Quick or Continuous Effect. (It is applied even if this card is Special Summoned by other card effects.)

• After "Kaiser Sea Snake" is Special Summoned by the effect of another "Kaiser Sea Snake", if "Book of Moon" is activated, the "If this card is Special Summoned, its Level becomes 4 and its original ATK becomes 0." effect and the "its ATK and DEF each become 0." effect are no longer applied. If "Kaiser Sea Snake" is flipped face-up, its Level will be 8 and it will have 2500 ATK and 1000 DEF.

• After "Kaiser Sea Snake" is Special Summoned by the effect of another "Kaiser Sea Snake", if "Skill Drain" is activated, the "If this card is Special Summoned, its Level becomes 4 and its original ATK becomes 0." effect of the first "Kaiser Sea Snake" is negated, the Level returns to 8 and the original ATK returns to 2500. The "its ATK and DEF each become 0." effect that was already applied is not negated by "Skill Drain". Therefore, the original ATK of the second "Kaiser Sea Snake" returns to 2500, its current ATK and DEF remains at 0, and its Level returns to 8.

• If "Kaiser Sea Snake" is Special Summoned by the effect of another "Kaiser Sea Snake", both "its ATK and DEF each become 0." and "If this card is Special Summoned, its Level becomes 4 and its original ATK becomes 0." are applied.

• "Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord", "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus" and "Water Dragon" are Level 8 Sea Serpent-Type monsters, but they can only be Special Summoned using the procedure written on the cards. They cannot be Special Summoned by the effect of "Kaiser Sea Snake".
